I enjoy old machines & tractors, as you may know, and recently, a friend of mine called me to see if I could help him move a couple of tractors that he purchased from an auction back to his farm. He uses these types of machines on his cattle farm. The two machines are from the 1960's; they are two Case 930 tractors. One is propane and one is diesel. They have been sitting in the mud for decades, but that finally changed! We had to do a few repairs to get the tractors onto the trailer, which I'll show in this video.
I hope you enjoy! I know we did!
~
0:00 - Introduction to the recoveries
0:30 - The first tractor
1:20 - The second tractor
3:00 - Digging out the tractor tires
5:00 - Working on the front two tires of the first tractor
11:00 - Welding and grinding
19:24 - The steering is back!
19:50 - Fixing the broken steering on the second tractor
27:10 - Plans to add a duel wheel
29:50 - Unloading the welder/generator with the crane
32:32 - Loading the first tractor
34:00 - Bringing the first tractor home
35:50 - Unloading the first tractor
38:00 - Loading up a new tire for the second tractor
39:23 - Stacking tractors
47:52 - Now back to your regularly scheduled programming!
48:20 - Plans for the second tractor
49:00 - Going to see if the crane truck will lift the tractor
51:00 - Plan B!
53:14 - Putting on the second tire
1:00:00- Loading the second machine
1:05:00- Bringing the second tractor home
01:08:55 - Unloading the second tractor

Great to see the old equipment put back into production. So many farmers end up under water due to loans on new equipment. If you've got the skills this is a great, and prudent, way to go.

Great to see you helping others keep these old machines going. It's especially helpful to keep them going, so smaller farmers don't need to constantly fight the "right to repair" fight of modern equipment.

When you change your heat on the welder you have to let it go back to idle then change your heat if you don't then you run the risk of messing up the dial changer. I have the same model and that's after I messed up 2 dials because of that. I do love your channel bud and love what you do keep it up because people today would rather let the old iron rot in there yards instead of getting them running again or selling them to people that will

Have a Pitman Polecat PC1300 on Ford F700. Replaced all the cylinder packings, slide bearings and a lot of hoses on mine. No leaks. The main 2 stage extension cylinder on the PC1300 here was mfg by Great Bend industries. Have the Pitman manual and parts catalog for the PC1300. Very handy to have a digger derrick for pole sheds, swapping engines, and other heavy jobs.
