MUN-ing for the first time in forever! I'm not a diplomacy student or international relations student but a music student who wants challenges and stretch in this! Thanks for this wonderful presentation.. this will take practice for a novice like me who keeps on singing for help! :)
WHAT TO RESEARCH? 1. Recent History 2. Current Events : • what countries, people or organizations are more relevant • how are they involved • where is this topic most relevant? Some countries or other locations like urban or rural areas • are there any relevant trends in the topic e.g if it's a war which side is currently winning? will that change ? Will that continue • the behavior. what do various nations and organizations believe about the topic, how do they justify it? Why is it happening • what can be done about it? look at past solutions that have been attempted worldwide, why did they work or fail? • country's preferences, what does you country believe should be done? • country's capacity to implement any of those solutions HOW TO RESEARCH? 5:44 USING YOUR RESEARCH? 5:53 Conclusion 9:07
Dude thank you. You don’t understand how much this helped me. I felt super overwhelmed with the research process of MUN but this video made it much less intimidating. Cheers
Hey, can you upload more videos related to MUN? It'd be a lot helpful for me, my team & other beginners too. You do a great job in explaining the tactics for MUN.
I’m an 8th grader going for my first MUN and I was placed as an intermediate, are there any tips on how to speak well, since I have little to no experience in a MUN
I know what to look for, but i csnt find what im looking for. I have a mun tommorow and i still dont know my countries stance, i do have a slight idea of what the agenda is about but my country is a very small country and havent spoken about my agenda or anytjing slightly related to it.
Strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights in Afghanistan with special emphasis on women and children cant find anythin on the above topic as morocco
And do we have to study resolutions that are passed related to agenda but not in our committee...for eg.I am in unsc and agenda is climate change..??? And as it's my first mun I am really perplexed and it's bewildering . .pls help me!
Champa Kumari I would look at the last resolutions, especially if it’s your first conference. It’ll give you a good idea of what to include in your resolution, especially your operative clauses. I wouldn’t spend a lot of time looking at resolutions that have nothing to do with tour committee though
how do I get a subtopic from the organizers ? how do I get a country assigned to me ? my application has been accepted ! I have paid the registration fee but I dont know how to start!
