FYI....I tried and tried this over and over...After looking through tons of blogs here is what worked for my 2011 C300 that had the "A3 service is over 100 miles" message. You need to push the "phone" button first, then while holding it press "OK". Hold both together for approx 5 seconds then follow the rest of the instructions as listed. The issue for me was NOT pushing both at the SAME time. Phone first, then OK and both for 5 seconds. Hope this saves some blood and sweat for everyone!!!! :)
Thanks so much for this info!!! I Just paid a Mercedes repair bill of $127.00 out of pocket for an oil change and $200.00 deductble for warranty services, and I left that shop with the service light reading 1100 miles past due!!!! I won't be going back.
In case anyone has a Canadian car, you must remove the push to start button, and then insert the key and follow the process. The button just pulls right out with ease. Also pressing the phone button first and then press ok and hold till the screen pops up worked for me also. 2008 c350. Thanks for the vid, could not figure this out for the life of me.
Btw, in my car , I had to hold down the 📞 button FIRST then simultaneously hit and hold the OK button to have the secret menu to come up. if you do the 📞 and the OK button at the same time, you get reset trip odometer option... Great 📹 regardless!
Worked on 2012 c350. When pressing answer call and ok button you have to first press the call button and while holding down press ok button for about 5 seconds. Secret menu will pop up... If you press both buttons at the same time reset trip odometer will come up.
Thanks for great directions and the extra important clue you provided, which was to start out on the "main display- the regular odometer menu". At first my car wouldn't display the regular odometer because there were other messages showing but I was able to clear them by pushing the OK button which then allowed the main display to show. Then I followed your directions (ok, it took me a couple of tries) It worked! Thanks so much for helping us stay free of overpriced dealership service centers!
begin with door closed, key not in ignition, insert key, turn key to position 1, make sure you are on the home display(not the mpg display, etc.), push & hold the call answer, then 1/2 second later hold down OK button, hold both until the hidden menu appears

I have a 2008 Mercedes C350 with 3534 miles. I have been unable to reset the Service A or Service B warning indicator. Over the years, I have had my car in the shop and the service Advisors have attempted to reset it with no joy. I suspect there is a bad control module, but which one? I had an independent repair shop try resetting it with their computer, but also no joy. It seems to register the warnings, because it used to show the Service A was past due, then it changed to the Service B was past due and now indicates something like 530 days. As I said, no one has been able to get it to go away permanently until the next service is due. I can get it to go away temporarily by hitting OK, but the next time I start the car, it comes up again. Any idea what has to be done to fix it?
Do we really need any of these services? I think mine says that I need an S5 service or something. Are these services really are more of a ploy to make money or does it really have any relevance to the maintenance of the car? I would appreciate it if anyone could answer these questions. :-D
I'm not sure why it does not work, I got all the way to Assyst Plus but it did not take me to the next step to click full service etc. Am I doing it wrong?
The main point of A1 service is to change the oil and filter, you should also check all other fluid levels and check the condition of your tires and brakes
Try to follow the services listed in your owner's manual, but most can be done yourself, such as oil, air filter, cabin filter etc. Transmission fluid is difficult to do yourself, best left to the professionals!
Doesn't work on my 2008 C350. After getting to the confirm and can't be undone indicator and pressing confirm, I get a message saying it can't be preformed.
This includes, oil change and filter, air filter, flush the brake fluid and re-fill, check brake rotors and pads for wear, replace cabin air filter and reset the service interval on the computer. Not sure how useful the brake fluid flush is, adds a ton of cost at the dealer.
no work. sometimes it asks me to pull the key out in position one or sometimes when I hold the buttons it just asks to reset the odometer. nothing more happens. Problem is someone need to actually make this video WHILE having a warning message for over due days.
