Impressed how Capcom actually put a lot of effort and detail in those animations considering they're TPS games (like if you look closely to the M4A1 bolt catch, it's well animated). Sadly, not much people bought these remakes, or at least in my country.
I know they put a bunch of effort into these, but I just love the fact that each weapon they use they take the clip out, tap it or set it down, then put the spent case back into the gun. For instance, all the pistols have their clips removed, tapped on the person's waist, then slid back in. The quad-barrel RPG's reload is simply the guy taking the spent rockets out, placing them beside him, takes a breath, then puts them back into the rocket. Like, wat LOL And let's not mention how Jill reloads the grenade launcher: Takes the shells out and puts them right back in lol Almost like she's checking if the shells are still there lol
It bugs me too I mean I dont think comparing GTA V and these RE games will be a good thing but even in GTA V which is a 2013 game btw they actually remove the (throwing them out) magazine/clips and then put in a new one though they do just pull it out from thin air because they are wearing casual clothes most of the time and they definitely aren't keeping it in their pockets
it's actually dangerous to take your eyes off the environment during a gunfight, especially in a zombie apocalypse where zombies can come out of nowhere and you can be infected with just a single bite that's why people invented revolver speed loaders and magazines, so that you can reload your weapon while still keeping an eye on the zombies' movements and immediately start shooting again
I always thought the reload animations were pretty abysmal compared to even RE4/5. I never liked any of them besides when Leon reloads with a flashlight.
Thats because in this game they allow you to move when reloading, in re4 and 5 you lose all the control of your character when reloading allowing the animators to do a way better job, in this games if you use way too many bones of the character you can make animations overlap each other making things look really funky or even glitchy.
I kind of hate that capcom no longer uses licensed guns anymore, i really miss the days were in the original RE2 and RE3 the guns had their names and not some made up thing.
@@majorborngusfluunduch8694 well I hear glock actually has some copyright bullshit so I guess game companies just decided to not use official names entirely because of that I guess
@@no-bodymr6419 Imagine thinking the game's age is an excuse when older games got it right. The "its not meant to be realistic, bro" argument is as stupid as it always has been. If you're going to put authentic weaponry into your game, put in the effort to make them work right. Or at least hide that you can't or aren't willing to do it. Otherwise, come up with original weapons that work however you want them to.
it's the tradeoff of facilitating the reload animations happen while the characters are in movement and turning, in RE4 and 5 reloading and shooting puts you at full stop so the animation can take advantage of that, for the newer games they have to make do for that
@@ghostwolfl227 It can only be found by obtaining the Roll Film Hiding Places in the Sewers Workroom, and developed back at the Police Station using the hidden elevator in the Workers' Break Room. Only then can you find it hiding in the S.T.A.R.S.
there's some things i NEVER understood in the remake of RE3. the reloads of the RE3R handguns sounded more plasticized or rusted , why? in the RE2R , they sounded more agreeably metallic-ish. plus i know that in the og RE3 game , there was a S&W magnum revolver but that was replaced by another Deagle in its remake for some reason , it wouldn't be a big deal for Capcom to put a new model of S&W revolver (since the pocket handgun of Claire was based about a J-frame revolver from the same brand) with the same sounds and anims and would make a very interesting gun in its attachments like longer barrel , speed loader etc. what a shamefully wasted potential. decidely it's like if Capcom put us a big finger.
At 1:37 leon loads magum ammo and you can see the bullets in the mag and while reloading in the mag but at 1:47 jills loads an empty clips into the magum and the gun itself doesn't show any ammo in the slide what so ever this right here was lazy details and work on the gun. Really goes for show that capcom didn't give it the same flare as re2 remake.
You got some of the pistol irl name wrong. 1. 1:59 its a S&W 38 body Guard not a ruger Lcr 2. 0:51 Its a USP9. It holds 16 round So the guns using a 9mm,not a .45 acp 3. 0:45 its a Mauser HSc not a makarov 4. 1:20 its not Just an M9, its an Beretta 92FS 5. A bit of nitpick, but the M19 1:02 is not the 1911 version, its the 1911A1 version
