Yep. They did it right by releasing a free 30 min demo of the game on PS4 and Xbox for everyone. Something that used to happen in the PS1 days. Instead of what most companies do these days which is offer a “beta” but lock it behind pre-ordering a $100 special edition of the game. Everyone had a chance to play this game and see how awesome it is. Also PewDiePie playing the game last week for everybody is gonna help too lol
RV Jarlos, Since coffee contains caffeine, a stimulant, it was wrongfully assumed that coffee increased blood pressure and heart attacks - but it doesn’t. Coffee is a rich source of antioxidants and other bioactive compounds that are healthful. A thorough meta-analysis published in 2014 analyzed 21 studies which included almost a million people, of which more than 120,000 died over many years. Lifestyle factors were tracked and controlled for, and people that consumed coffee were compared to non-coffee drinkers. Coffee drinkers had a reduction in all-cause mortality, that is coffee drinkers were less likely to die than non-coffee drinkers. Drinking any amount of coffee was associated with a lower death rate, but maximum reduction in death was noted at 3-4 cups of coffee/day. The reduction in death was 16% Coffee consumption is associated with a reduction in coronary heart disease, heart failure and lots of different types of cancer. And we know from basic science studies that coffee reduces insulin resistance. Meta-analyses of multiple studies show a reduction in development of diabetes. Each cup of coffee consumed daily relates to a reduction in risk of diabetes about 6-7% But there are some negative effects. For some individuals, caffeine may contribute to insomnia, anxiety & panic, which may mean coffee is not a healthful choice for those people.
That would sadly be very hard to do. Being that Team Silent (the creators of the first 3 silent Hill games) are disbanded and the last game in the series (Silent Hills) got canceled before it could even get close to being done, it feels like the "Silent Hill" IP is dead. Which sucks because I love silent Hill even more than I love resident evil. (No offense Capcom)
MrSmileyFaceGames well none of the prominent people who worked on RE2 worked on this one(or even employed at Capcom anymore). That being Hideki Kamiya(Director), and Shinji Mikami(producer and basically ghost/co-director) but this game still turned out great. So not having the original crew isn’t an issue. The problem is all the talent is completely gone from Konami. Anyone even remotely competent in game design saw what a sinking ship Konami was and bailed. It’s just a bunch of business suits with a few ‘above average’ game designers left. They wouldn’t be able to produce something of this quality
Can we just stop and appreciate how smooth and great the animations look?? Claire dynamically reacting to a second zombie pushing at 2:30, Leon centering the weight of the shotgun when he's carrying it one-handed at 3:27, Claire tucking the flashlight against her shoulder and cheek when reloading at 4:59, and who knows what else, haha
ReSeT well it will definitely won’t take nearly as long as resident evil 2 remake due to the fact that resident evil 3 originally was designed to use as much reused assets as possible from re2 to cut time, re2 remake already looks like they have a decent number of things to expand upon raccoon city not just the police station that will be used for re3 (case in point we get an image of Claire walking through raccoon city police departments front gates now re 2 .org Jan ally never showed the front entrance outside the station you used the back and side door to enter the front entrance was used in re3 and was turned into an arena for the first fight with nemesis) so these environments are not going to have to be build from the ground up like this game was
@@cameronsmith5751 I once tried switching to my Matilda to reload, but the input didn’t register and I fired my shotgun at a wall. Almost threw my monitor
mac ppl like you are the ones that make companies not make great games. it's like u selling something but then I steal it. ur ain't gonna be happy, would u wanna keep working hard so I get free shit??
I mean I totally loved this game but puzzles are not hard, their difficulty depends basically on going around to get specific pieces so I wouldn't call them puzzles, still really challenging with the zombies, locked doors, lickers, Mr. X...
@@sladewilson7729 mmm... it is thrilling, but I wouldn't call it scary, it has the suspense element but it is not something I would call "scary" you get jumpscares here and there but its playable, not the kind of game you stop playing for how scary it is!!
Absolutely love this game. Discovered the Resident Evil franchise about a year ago, so many awesome games to play through, but this just blew my mind. It's my favorite game of all time. Keep it up Capcom, you are killing it!
@@blobber51 I dont wanna get the hype train going but. It's just gonna be good. They arent changing the story up too much, but everything's being changed enough that it's a fresh experience. Difficulty will be there. The characters are well done, voice acting I'm sure as well will be very good. If you havent pre ordered, just wait a while and I'm sure you'll see many great reviews about it.
It is I copped it today and it's dope!! The gameplay is smooth the graphics are awesome it's dope to see the game in 4K, the game is balanced well all around a great experience and I'm barley even far into the game yet
This game is fucking amazing! There’s literally no bad critiques on this game, it is fantastic. Def a must buy RE7 & RE2 remake are redefining the franchise & I’m so fucking stoked for the future!🙌🏼
I read multiple people say they beat each campaign in less than 10 hours. And there are only two campaigns right? But it’s worth 60? I wanna get it but sounds like a ripoff at full price
@@ChronoMune So? As long as the approximately 3-6 hours per playthrough are fun, it's worth the money. I don't like to say stuff like that, but your comment does sound.... I don't know, entitled? What exactly do you expect? 100+ hours? It's not an open-world game, you do realize that, right? Also, it has extra modes, and an upcoming free DLC with three new stories.
@@rickjames2249 As much as I know, the game doesn't count cutscenes, and my first playthrough was around 6 hours according to the game, my second in the B Path around 4:30 hours. And yes, you can skip all cutscenes including the credits.
Thank you I needed a distraction, you have no clue how much you've just helped me... Wow thanks for all the support guys I didnt expect to see so many people looking out for a stranger, you guys are the best!
I pre ordered the deluxe edition and I'm definitely picking it up tomorrow after my shift at work. And they definitely need to make a remake for part 3 and code Veronica X
I'd be down for an overhaul on the entire series up to 7. RE3, RE0, Outbreak, Code Veronica. Seeing those games with revved up graphics now that the mastered nailed solid storytelling (and actually cast decent voice actors) would be incredible! Not likely but a geek can dream lol
@@EpicAMV911did you play the 30 min demo? it's a masterpiece. i mean Leon even puts his flashlight in his neck when he has to reload, they thought of everything
Man, gotta say... As big of a fan of the RE series as I am, I am becoming an even bigger fan of your before you buy videos. Your presentation is spot on, your pacing is perfect, your writing is top notch and well thought out, and your gameplay looks good and is smoothly edited. Good job Jake!
Nah, I think if they're gonna remake both of those games (and I hope they do, especially RE3) they should have them as seperate games that stand on their own.
They will remake all of the resident evils before 4 obviously since they already made the rest on new gen. Theres no reason why they wouldn't. 3 would make so much money since resident evil 2 was such a success. Outbreak was so underrated so I'm really hoping they bring it to xboxone/ps4/pc. I didnt get to experience the online experience but it was still an amazing resident evil one of my favorites
No dude, imagine you are in a huge map with 100 players, and the map is re 2 themed with zombies and all of the monsters running around, that shit would be so intense and actually worth it
Actually, I would not trust IGN's review of Resident Evil 2. They were just caught...like literally today faking the latter half of the game. IGN's reviewer did not...I guess have enough time to complete it or he did not care and faked half the review. After IGN was caught they say they re-reviewed it and supposedly fixed the review, I would not trust it. Now this does not mean it has a horde mode...oh how I wish and hope some how but I doubt it. The biggest complaint about IGN is them saying Leon and Claire's playthrough are identical or basically once you played one you have seen it all...which we know is bullshit. I know they changed it, I also know you say the updated review as the score is higger than the 8 out of 10 they gave it earlier. Coincidentally, tjey just got raked over the coals for giving Ace Combat 7 a lower score because it is hard to them...I guess they wanted a participation trophy/achievement and as I own Ace 7...its not hard and a blast to play. 9 out of 10 in my book.
I wanna see a remake of the first. It may not have been one of the most talked about RE’s but in my opinion one of the most eerie. The mansion had such a dreadful feeling to it.
Even if you didn't really play the original but have just a little knowledge of the game or have just seen the classic gameplay here and there. This game will still give you that nostalgic feel. You'll feel like you are playing a classic but at the same time, brand new game. It's hard to put in words but it is something everyone should experience. You will swear that you've been a huge RE fan the whole time even if this is the first game in the series you play. Honestly I envy you if this is your first RE game. Because you'll be starting with what RE was always meant to be, without having to wade through some of the crap that us long time fans have had to go through. If this is the direction the series is going toward from here on out then our beloved series will finally be back on track to being one of the best survival horror series around.
I really appreciate your Before You Buy series, I watch these (before I buy, heh) over reviews most of the time. thank you for what you guys do, GameRanx!
RE2 Remake is an absolute home run by Capcom. RE2 has been a favorite of mine since I first played it back on the PS1. I was a bit nervous when Capcom announced the remake... But after several playthroughs, this game is about as close to perfect as you can get. I'm proud of you, Capcom.
Second only to Metal Gear Solid on the original PS, Resident Evil 2 was one of my all time favorite games growing up. Very much looking forward to playing this remake.
Nick Gentry-DePhillips - The old school background music that Capcom has included, is there already on disk that you know of or is it part of the DLC where you have to download the game into your hard drive?
Dewey Flournoy sameeeeee imma try get the steelbook edition, that think looks.... no words are worthy of describing this game so far- and I’m new to the series(sorry fanboys😂😅🤫)
Dude! What have you been doing with your life.😂 Welcome to the RE family and there's no better way to start then with this game although I strongly suggest you to play the first RE remake and the originals, out of respect and nostalgia 😋
I've brought this game and I'm very much looking forward to playing it when I'm done with a few other games. This game used to scare the crap out of me as a child and I'm sure it will do the same as an adult. Great video.
Here because of the sale. Never played a Resident Evil game. Well I kind of played Resident Evil 7 because someone needed help with some parts and asked if I could try. And it was pretty cool.
We probably will have all of the series remade (1-4 plus spin offs) by the end of 2023. Capcom has already shown that their marketing campaign lately has been based around remaking all of their best games from the early 90s-2000s
I loved the original. Played it as a kid and I had horrible nightmares about that first zombie encounter, the one in the hallway. The remake just brought it all back. Can’t wait to play this one! (Resident Evil 1 & 2 are the best in my opinion).
I played the RE3 remake and for me that game took away the "shit I hope I don't die cause I haven't seen a save point in a while" Not to mention Mr X is more relentless than Nemesis is the RE3 remake imo. Their was also more puzzles in this game than 3 and just has a overall creepier atmosphere
As a long time fan of the originals with the 2nd and 3rd being my favourite RE games, this is the single best remake of a game I've played and its now perhaps become my favourite Resident Evil game. My favourite aspect of the remake (and its hard for me to pick just one) is perhaps 'Tyrant 103' or 'Mr X'. I have literally screamed at moments when he's got me, and his constantly felt presense keeps me on edge the entire time. Mr X was so well done (not to mention the game itself), it makes me so hopefull and excited for a remake of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis.
This game is amazing and i love how spooky and scary the game is and Capcom did an amazing job to capture the fear and horror :)! The zombies are more terrifying than ever and Mr X !
My favourite has always been RE 4. I’m looking forward to this remake, but I’ll be comparing it to 4. I’ll be comparing all future games to 4, the GOAT.
communist i gave it another chance and beat leon’s story a few days ago, i change my stance on it, good game but honestly it took me an hour and a half to beat the last boss
@@alifyudhap it's probably his first time going into the resident evil franchise, to be fair I've had a PS4 since its release in 2013 and the first resident evil I played with was Resident Evil 7
This is also gonna be my first resident evil game and im 20. As a kid i wasnt a fan of horror and as a teen i had to buy my own games and resident evil wasn't high on the list of importance.
@@ChronoMune sorry for the late reply bud. And yes indeed. It was worth every penny. I got the deluxe Edition with the extras. But the $60 copy should do you just fine.
Imagine a Silent Hill remake with Pyramid Head roaming the world and that creepy ass bell going off signaling the change to the Otherworld. So many possibilities and creepiness.
I’m glad this game is getting so much high praise. Not only is it well deserved, but it also shows Capcom that if they put passion and love into their projects, fans will respond well
most likely they will slightly nerf him down I think because mr X was powerful in this game imagine what nemesis would be in re 3 with rocket launcher it would be so hard so they might slow him down
@@vijaysabarish9600 they would have to do something for nemesis. Mr X looks like a pain I couldn't imagine nemesis in a RE3 remake it would be a run and die scenario everytime lol
@@chrischimera it would need to have either a really polished system of the escape / evade commands of the original or quick events for some attacks like when he grabs you or being look on to the rocket launcher, still...last 3 fights are going to be hell on earth
Original Resident Evil 2 was my favourite game ever. But have to say this remake is so very close. Have replayed it loads of times already, and it keeps getting better and better. One tip, buy the original music, and wallow in nostalgia.
I'd like to see outbreak remake in this vein. I know a lot of people dont like outbreak, and consider it non canon but I found outbreak to be SO replayable. Unlocking all the outfits, getting the best score you can, it was all very addictive. I even made a spreadsheet for all the collectibles and the rotation of game they were on.
I definitely feel like Outbreak and File 2 came out ahead of its time. If they would have waited until the PS3 and Xbox360 released to bring these games out, they would have killed it.
@@NightShifterDad Like how they try to kill it with Operation Raccoon City which was more of a battle survivor then a horror survivor. I agreed they should of waited until a better operational online network too.
Childhood reinvented for sure and really high hopes that do this to RE3 Nemesis . RE3 would be I think I touch more terrifying but what ever the case I'm glad capcom is bringing such a classice back to life and to push forward with new games . From capcoms panel interviews it seems they want to push more out of the re engine and make re3 remake and re8 for that matter to be a new real horror survior game again . P.S pre ordered july 5 when it was announced and its been a wait for this but tomorrow I will have it due to pre release here .
and since now this is clearly the gameplay they'll most likely use to make RE 3 remake,it'll be less annoying dodging nemsis since you'll be able to move better.not sure they they decided to make the action fast pace when you're using tank controls.
@@atomic747 no doubt ! Once fighting mr x that should really show how to handle the nemesis . like i said high hopes the decide to continue this remake trend and add more to RE3 like they are doing to this remake
Just dropped the cash on a digital and will probably pick up a physical when the price drops on a later date lol! Call me weird but I just couldn't wait lol! But anyway- from the looks of it... I wish that they would of let us wonder through the city a little more like the original - not much but just enough to get a bigger picture of the chaos and destruction of everything... Was kind of disappointed to see that it was just a straight walk to the Police station... Besides that - it looks amazing! Hopefully there are some good Claire x Leon moments and hopefully the game isn't too short as well! Also if they do decide to make a Nemisis - Hopefully they just do a addon to this game and make it about Jill and the city along with a reduced but thorough version of the Police station! Would be awesome to see it as an expansion, possible a 30-40 dollar expansion in a year or so! I wouldn't mind it at all with these types of graphics and the same engine! Save some money and time on the development and just add it onto this game as a core part instead of taking a whole nother 3-5 years for the next one....
I remember playing this on PS1 as a kid (6yo) and getting terrified of empty backseats and dark corridors. I have never had the guts to finish it back then. Just downloaded it on my PS4 and it is as good as I remember, better even. Just go for it guys! This is gonna be my first complete playthrough.
kage yes but afterwards play as many as you can. (the good ones first) I even recommend playing the bad one as they are canon and you get sucked into the plot really nicely and the time you invest will be well worth it newer or older as a fan.
