I grew up on both the games and this ....... still preferred the games.

Is it? It is definitely iconic and upon first viewing is one of the most memorable scenes. But with an entire movie full of iconic and memorable scenes, is it really the best?

Ghoul Gwynefern I had nightmares too but I still watched them when I was like 10 lol nothing gets between a kid and his zombie movies

My dad took me and my little brother when it was in theaters the dining hall zombie scene gave me nightmares good times and it reminds of my brother rest in peace buddy

Timothy Rodowicz IMO i thought it really captured the impending doom of humanity by an extremely infectious viral outbreak. You can pretty much play the song in any zombie/infected movie and it would be right at home. Try driving around at night with it playing in your car.

I must played through 'Resident Evil 3 Remake' again last week and the way they handle the corpses in the level at the hospital where you're playing as Carlos, is hilarious. They just randomly explode into a huge pile of blood n' guts, lol 😆..The sound it makes when it happens is definitely funny, too..

The Quality went down because the Paul W S Anderson can't write for shit and he basically disregards any and every character that is not Alice(his wife).

Yeah, although I did like the rest of the movies in one way or another. I felt like it escalated way too quick and missed out on some great opportunities. The rest kind of went Michael Bay exaggeration wise. This and the second felt more grounded.

They should've stopped after the second one, either that or they should've gone with George A Romero. I know people like to give him shit for land of the dead but Diary Of the Dead was a solid film. And I heard his version of the script was very close to the original game.

I liked the second one too. The third was ok. After that idk wtf has been going on.

Grumpy Alien Yup and that was the problem, it gave people false hope that the sequels would also be good. RE2 looked like it needed at least 35 minutes more character development and about $50-$75 million more budget for more lengthy zombie battles. Plus, RE2 should have been about the game characters at the Mansion. Partially not Anderson's fault because he was not yet given full license to use them and the storyline accordingly.

The proof of concept Arklay series video was better than this.

I like the second movie. Most because Nemesis.

Nemesis was trash in that movie he got beat up like a chump only good thing about nemesis in that movie is that his design straight from the game

This franchise is not good at weaving game characters into this universe. They shouldn't have gone full end of the world in this.

Michael Williams to be fair all the games are like that too, even the original... So I can never really understand why people complain about things like that.. They stay true to the video games in regard to going from weaponized zombie virus to weaponized biological combat units. Look at 7, it has psychic stuff in it. A few of the games have had people with psychic powers. Wesker being super human and moving like he's in the matrix is also a big thing in the games. So really in all complete honesty the movies have done nothing that the games didn't already do.

Timothy Rodowicz That is not true at all. The Resident Evil franchise by far has the biggest plot holes and continuity errors than any franchise period. I'm talking about worst than Star Wars, worse than Transformers, worse than Terminator, worse than Highlander. I counted over 20 plot holes in the last movie. Which is Insane!

A man and his partner created a virus to reverse the effects of his daughters illness they began testing it on people in various countries the creator found out about this and was killed by his partner by then umbrella had already become a super massive industry and since his daughter was to young to inherit her fathers half of the business, he took control of it and began more testing on the virus.

An amnesiac woman awakens nude in a shower, to find clothes already laid out for her, and heavy weaponry in her dressers she walk around a mansion in hopes of remembering herself only to be ambushed by a cop, and a para military strike force. They then discover, and infiltrate a secret lab underneath said mansion both owned by umbrella as Alice begins to remember tid-bits of herself and her mission more, and more of the strike force, and survivors die until only Alice and the cop barely escape to be captured by umbrella.

An umbrella strike force begins an investigation on the lab releasing the virus into raccoon city causing umbrella to evacuate their top researchers and their families causing Angela ashford to go missing amongst the chaos Jill valentine prepares her escape of the crumbling raccoon city with her cop buddy, only to have her hopes of escape dashed when umbrella seals off all exits to the city, and her buddy is bitten by a zombie. Meanwhile Alice awakens once again missing her memories this time in a crumbling raccoon city realizing she's been experimented on she wanders aimlessly around raccoon hoping to find the cop who helped her escape the hive and other survivors. Meanwhile Carlos olivera and his team are sent to extract something for umbrella only to be abandoned by their chopper. And the nemesis is also let loose. Seeing that their are several survivors doctor ashford offers a ride out for anyone who can locate Angela. The three parties + LJ meet at angelas school as several survivors are killed before she is found. They begin their way to the tower only to be ambushed by umbrella where its revealed that the missing cop has become nemesis and that Alic doctor ashford is killed and the team escapes in a stolen chopper it crashes and Alice dies as the others escape.

Moff Tarkin retribution had good action and soundtrwck but was terrible for the plot. Afterlife had that aswesome rooftop scene and soundtrack!

Probably the stupidest part of the movie. Let's give the guys in the room hope that they'll make it out alive but at the last set of lasers we'll make it so impossible for them to dodge they'll definitely die instead of doing it from the beginning.

My favourite scene in the whole Resident Evil series has to be in Extinction when Alice lets loose with the flame thrower on those zombie crows, that was awesome.

I like that too. I don't mind if things don't follow a game or book exactly. But the quality went way down after the 2nd movie. They just felt sped up and exaggerated for those with A.D.
