All the strongest weapons in classic got nerfed, and changed, the best shotgun is the riot one, the best sniper is the first one, and the best handgun is the sg however the other guns compensate by getting close without spending so much and having something extra, for example, punisher is weaker than sg but pierces, striker is weaker than riot but has a huge magazine and amazing cadence, stingray is weaker but has high rate of fire, and in this case killer 7 would be behind the broken butterfly but the special upgrade makes it broken. I think Capcom wanted to let you choose, spend a lot of money on a base gun but it pays off or just buy a new one and save some cash.
@@DaetB But its called the "handcannon" for a reason. Not only that, in all the classic resident evils (1-3) the infinite ammo magnum and the infinite rocket launcher were the hardest to acquire and sought after; people went through some shiet to acquire them back in the day. They were meant to be rediculously overpowered weapons because they were very hard to acquire. I can see the reasoning why they their stats would be tinkered with but making it the weakest magnum? That just seems off.
@@ZorrowTasogare92 what bloom? The laser sight gives the K7 practically perfect accuracy, so long as you can keep the laser on target. Way better than crosshairs
Killer 7 having actual accuracy automatically makes it the best option IMO. At the ranges you have to use the others with, you might as well use a shotgun. Critical hit rate is also, well, critical.
The Handcannon not being the most powerful Magnum just feels wrong. All that kick for that little payoff per shot. I think they balanced it around having Infinite Ammo being it's main draw, but I'd prefer having limited ammo for it if the thing deleted any miniboss or elite enemy in 1-2 shots. They could buff it down the road if the feedback is negative, but until then I'm sticking with the Killer 7
It would be great if they kept as it is for infinite ammo, but gave it a optional upgrade to increase it's damage but made it use .50 rounds, with them being even more scarce than magnum bullets
@@jockeelly the Cat Ears exist now. You can have Infinite Ammo for every gun because of that, so the Handcannon having it is no longer special. So once you get those, the Handcannon falls off and the Broken Butterfly becomes the best Magnum overall. What I think would be the simplest solution is for them to also tack on either a 1.5x or 2x power multiplier onto the Exclusive Upgrade in addition to what it already does. 1.5x would bring it to 54 which is the most damage per shot, but the slower rate of fire means it's more of a burst damage weapon rather than a sustained damage weapon, and the Broken Butterfly would still be a viable pick for it's sustained damage and good enough burst damage.
Old Handcannon have 99.9 firepower & Unlimited ammo if fully maxed out fyi, but they use even rarer ammo (non issue when you unlocked the infinte ammo upgrade) and i agree, having a gun named literally HAND+CANNON to be the weakest magnum in the game is kinda sad lol
@@CurseOxuin my suggestion would bring it more in line with how it was in RE5 where it had 55 power (technically 5500 but in RE5, they decided to get rid of the decimal points, so 100 power in RE5 is equivalent to 1.00 power in RE4 classic.) which was a pretty good state for the weapon at the time. My point being if they didn't want it be as strong as it was in RE4 classic, they had the way it was in RE5 they could have drawn on as a basis because it was still good in that game despite the power being roughly half of what it was in RE4, they compensated for it by letting you use regular magnum ammo which gave you more uptime on it before you unlocked infinite ammo. It's an idea
It's similar to the Thompson machine gun. Both were stupidly overpowered in the original game with their high damage and infinite ammo. Here they do much weaker damage, but not bad, but keep the infinite ammo just so there can be some sort of challenge.
@@asianman5242 yea, but it doesnt need to be that strong to be considered not neutered, i say it is because its weaker than the broken butterfly with both maxed out and its waaaay slower and way worse accuracy, the only thing it has on butterfly is inf ammo but thats pointless if you have the cat ears which arent much harder to get than the handcannon, both are annoying to get though
Considering in the original, the broken butterfly gives 50.0 damage with exclusive, all the magnums just feel really underpowered. I only use them on bosses and try not to use more than 5 shots because the ammo is so rare unless you wanna burn all your gunpowder crafting it
@@JustSendMeLocationPlease i got a fair bit of magnum ammo in my playthrough but never more than 1 full gun + 2-4 shots. The game gives you some if you're all out and keep the magnum in your inventory.
Im not sure if the remake functions the same way as 4 did, but you should consider doing damage tests in professional to mitigate the effects of adaptive difficulty on enemy health
Thank you for this. I too thought the Handcannon was the most powerful magnum to use but after seeing the killer 7 max out with the exclusive talent I am sold. Its all about if you want more damage or infinite ammo. But get the cats ear and its a win-win!
@@jackjax7921 bruh, you don't need to be so defensive. The game is almost perfect, but people can still have small things that they wish were different, you don't need to tell everyone to go play the old game when they have just small nitpicks
Yeshhhh.... The handCannon is the more powerfull of weapons ever.... SOrry for my english is basic.... But i cant believe that... With more power about killer7... And the same kill 1 shot ?? and the HandCannon 3 ??? The #ResidentEvil4 #Remake is broken.... Need patch right now.... Posdata: I dont have this game and naver have... NO PC u.u
It's disappointing 😞 butterfly was the strongest due to the top upgrade that made its damage like 250 +-. Killer7 was stronger basic variant but without super upgrade (for those who are not ready to spend thousands of pec. On the upgrade). Unfortunately, now the butterfly is senseless. Thx for vid, won't use this gun.
So I don't know which to do still tbh, it's either run your luck for 1 hit kills on basic mobs or 2 hit butterfly 😮 on bosses I suppose the butterfly is better
The hand cannon was abit annoying to use in the game especially with the massive kick and it’s not as accurate, but it helped in professional with the unlimited ammo, but after I got cat ears the killer 7 just deleted enemies quicker and the laser sight was a good addition too.
Theyve tried to balance the handcannon. Nobody wants a balanced handcannon. The whole point is it fires bigger bullets, and has always done higher damage. Just stupid.
@@jsanchezzz2 yeah im really agree that why when i play the og i never use alway the OP weapon yeah sometime oterwise i do many profile and play different type of equip all time that make it more fun
Killer7: 😄 Firepower: 28.0 with Crit Rate Broken Butterfly: 😁 Firepower: 40.5 with 1.5x power Handcannon: 😭 Firepower: 36.0 with Infinite ammo Poor Handcannon... This is so sad. 😔 Without upgrade is weakest... 😔
Don’t put how many shots it takes before shooting, it takes away the interest in watching the video. Put the number of shots it takes after killing the enemy.
in the original the killer 7 stat is more better 2:17 only this one have 15 ammo 35power 0;70 fire speed 0;93 reeload speed 14 broken butterfly is far stronger in the orginnal 2:57 50 dmg fire speed 0;70 2.33 reload speed really more slower that the remake but still 2 gun already better and the handcannon totaly beat this remake about dmg 3:24 99.9 dmg praticly 3x more stronger fire speed 1.17 reaload speed 1.83 prety useless because is ilimited ammo
So handcannon aka S&W500 most powerful magnum in world 1 point take 3 shot!! That not right should take 1 shot take him down so best magnum is killer7! Not sure is magnum
I don't like they use one of S&W's revolver as a base for the Handcannon. The chonky Handcannon on the original was way better. It don't have to be true to design. Love they kept the infinite ammo at least, gonna hate myself for playing Pro now x.x
No, there is. If you are going to get S+ on every diff, handcanon is a game changer, its exclusive upgrade is infinite ammo, so you just goes boom boom shit
@@mahaputranurmuhammad3228 ^This, The handcannon for some reason doesn't count as a weapon that locks you out of S+ ranking like the infinite launcher does. So tunneling the hand cannons exclusive upgrade is balance breaking.
@@nothingface5919 I could be wrong but I don't think that it's the infinite launcher itself that locks you out of S+, but it's new game plus that does.
@Nothing Face hey there! I just to clarify things on S+ I just cleared it myself on hardcore to get the chicken hat. You can in fact, clear with either handcannon or Chicago sweeper and still get S+. BUT on NEW GAME only, not NEW GAME+. The only time you shouldn't run the Chicago sweeper or primal knife, is when you do new game on professional without using either of those weapons to unlock the handcannon, it isn't time gated
The HC has to be the best since the infinite exclusive can be bought with spinels w/o the cat ears? Lets face it by the time you get cat ears and are now godly the games no fun ☹️
cat ears gives infinite ammo if you can unlock it. So ultimately you can use BB for most damage/boss killer, K7 for crit 5x exclusive for mini bosses & red dot, & eventually hand cannon for the innate infinite ammo but with cat ears you can get infinite ammo anyway.
I would go for the killer 7. It has better stats across the board. The only thing the Broken Butterfly has on it is damage. Unless you're really accurate and only use it on big bosses, the Killer 7 is better.
Don't fully upgrade. Use up the ammo on broken butterfly and just sell it. (I would use it on either salazar or krauser) Just get some damage for killer 7(use exclusive ticket on it) and be done with it. The amount of ammo you get isn't worth it(but rolling the dice on 5x crit is), you can spend the money on fullauto cqbr, for example.
Killer 7 all the way fully maxed with its exclusive of 5x critical hit rate for the first time in 18 years this is the best magnum I used this to bring down Saddler while the Striker mopped up his bug kids
I am not a pro player its too tough to go through the professional or hardcore mode just to get the infinite ammo!! At least put it in the psn fully upgraded and infinite and we will buy if we want to
for killer7. in the original. I hate that they're make it dirty. more expensive than BB. but at the end. become a weakest magnum in the game!?! then why should I buy it?!? it's none sense!! I know revolver is favourite child of RE. and semi auto platform is the least loved child. but this is too much. (I hate what they did with deagle in RE5 and revelation 1 as well.) at least in the remake. they're give it a justice. with 5x critical hit rate. for BB. the most unforgivable things they've done is changed it model. from cool hybrid between Colt SAA and s&w Schofield into the plain s&w Schofield alone... plus cut off its cool reload animation. and replace with more simple one. besides this, the firepower is still good. for handcannon. I quite like that they're nerf it. I mean... it may not powerful as BB. but it has infinite ammo. so its good enough. if you give it infinite ammo and 99 firepower. it'll turns into infinity rocket launcher 2.0 which is too much overpowered. and make the other magnum seems too lame to used. so neft it a little bit and let the other magnum shines is better decision.
lol. All you had to do was show us the strongest gone at the highest level. Then all we had to do was use a little bit of math and figured out the rest.
It'll probably come with the Mercenaries DLC. I say this because the Handcannon is now obtained by beating Pro Mode, so they might've switched it around.
I wouldn’t exactly say they feel underwhelming… they make killing anything easy. But it really makes no sense at all that the hand “CANNON” is weaker than the the other magnums. It’s stupid, it fires bigger rounds, it has way higher recoil, yet does less damage.
Yeah, my riot gun with exclusive does 18 damage, 2 shots of it already do more damage than 1 fully upgraded killed 7 shot, but shotgun ammo is way more common, mag ammo is rare af.
@@honguyenhoaibao3676 Or modded game save for ps4/ps5 version, it's what I did. Killer 7 is better than both for everthing other than the strongest bosses.
so happy that they're nerfing the hand cannon bcs when its too overpowered the experience of the shot becomes none when doing the new game over and over again good job capcom
Si te refieres a Broken Butterfly Max vs Hand Cannon Max, el exclusivo de Broken Butterfly hace que el dano aumente en 1.5, osea, tendria 40.5 de poder, no 27
It’s because the handcannon’s exclusive upgrade is infinite ammo. The broken butterfly’s exclusive is a 1.5x power bonus, so it SAYS it’s power is 27.0, but it’s actually 40.5 power, which makes it higher than the handcannon. Kind of sucks, since if one has the cat ears, it makes the handcannon obsolete, as all weapons will have infinite ammo anyways, so you might as well just stick with the Killer7 or Broken butterfly.
@@harry7679 dude dev said, they will not change the power of any weapon cuz it's follow the OG 😪 In OG ver handcannon unli ammo and power 99.99 😪 and the most deadly weapon 😴
Killer 7: 28.0 x 3 = 84.0 Broken Butterfly: (27.0 x 1 5) x 2 = 81.0 Handcannon: 36.0 x 3 = 108.0 I think the bull ganado has 80.0 of health. Without considering the critical hit of the killer 7, the broken butterfly has the most damage output at 40.5 (27.0 base plus the 1.5 damage multiplier of the exclusive bonus) per bullet. The handcannon has 36.0 and is the highest base damage of all the other weapons. However, it still needs 3 bullets to kill the bull ganado. Two will only get you 72.0 damage
the handcannon in this game is a letdown. in the first RE4, "balance" is achieved by making it near impossible to obtain and once you have it, you'll need to spend a ton of pesetas to max upgrade it. what the hell was capcom thinking?
I have no qualms with the Handcannon being nerfed. What's the fun of having unli ammo if you can't enjoy shooting it a lot? The one-shot kill also killed my excitement for the old version after going through hell getting it. Think of Saitama and you will understand me.
