And this whole turn off the lights thing adds more the feeling of "oh better leave for I get raped in here" kinda vibe same thing in the dead space remake am I just noticing this type of added game play element but any way the only way things can get worse is if ya also had ta avoid lickers,jack backer,mr.x, nemesis,the booty warrior, Cerberus zombie dogs,Wesker,re5 boulder,t-posing flying characters,beneviento mannequin plus the baby all in the same room 💀💀💀😱🙃

@@megablack1001 Well, as difference, in the Remake you can hear their breathing in the environment before you can actually fights them, making this part more scarier, as you won't knows when they could attacks you. While in the original, you can only hears their breathing when the Regenerators can attacks you.

@@jakethepokesnake no they would do a small run up like the other enemies but that’s it. On the regular they would mostly walk & you would have enough time to hit the parasites. The only way to get them to slow down now is to hit a parasite & from there you have to make those other shots count because they will quickly move on you & easily grab you

I can't say this enough. I absolutely love the atmosphere here. It's dark, creepy, unsettling and absolutely terrifying. It's what a good horror themed area should be. And they topped it off with a free roaming Regenerator

I especially like the musical sting that kicks in at 7:15 when the Regenerator sees Leon and comes back to attack again. For real, these things were already terrifying in an Action game.... @@niccolocolzi they can enter the ventilation ducts. There are other area where you fight the Iron Maiden (the regenerator that resurrects) and it comes from the ventilation shaft. The regenerator fight in this version it's something else. They made it even better.

There's this part where you need a wrench and it turns out one of the ones in the glass incubators had swallowed it... And you literally have to set it free, to kill it dead, and get the wrench. See in the original they just come out, but in the remake you literally have to make sure you don't set 'em free when you shoot Ganados that invade the room later... And of course that's still easy so they made sure the Ganados you're shooting at are also carrying dynamite sticks 😹

It was always great that RE4 came out around the same time as Killer 7, another capcom game with Shinji Mikami influence. The regenerators are basically the heaven smile from killer 7, right down to the creepy grins and specific weak points needing to be shot. It was a really great reference and a nice thing to give some promotion to Suda 51's Western game debut.

If you insist on fighting them before finding the scope then after shooting the back in various places let them get backup unless you are using a gun that shoots through them. Then you can get the plaga on the front. Also unless it has changed in the remake once they start to shake etc they are going to explode so you can stop shooting.

I think it was a bad choice not to include the original regenerator soundtrack, it added a lot to the fear factor. This one sounds like the beginning of the old one, on loop.

Holy shit!!! That was insane!!! Man I wanna play this now but I gotta wait till after work. I know what I’m walking into as a returning RE4 player but Christ the fact that it’s dark, that things moving and breathing before you get the keycard is such a welcome yet terrifying change lol.

Because he's playing on normal mode. On professional enemies are tougher and health are boosted. Plus Ganados don't cripple after shooting them on the legs.

I wish they had made the music something similar to the original. Even as you saw it for the first time in the original, their theme was more ominous than scary, it's tension dictates that, even as it's grotesque figure is slowly moving towards you, there is still something more to them.

Remake is better but I expected more from capcom with those regenerators. They missed the spooky soundtrack, the sound they make when they die or when you shoot those plagas inside them….it makes you feel like they have emotions and an actual human is trapped in the body, crying with pain/agony when you shoot them. Capcom failed to understand that what make regenerators disturbing in the OG is their human like anatomy. They made it obese jiggly jelly type Alien here.
