"Hey guys whats up everyone XYZ here today I show you how to skip chapter 1 8 9 11 14 in Resident Evil 4 Remake, but before that a quick word from my sponsor (+2min), Okay lets get into it as you can see there are already cool way to skip chapters in the game so from number 10 lets break down my favorite skips. Number 10" You would get to 05:00 before you seen anything meaningful.
I heard it was only a new game plus skip. Also, after my first play through on the original I tried it and thought about doing so on remake. It’s smart, but with Capcom games they really put some logical things into perspective when it comes to physics etc.
On chapter 9, the clock changes depending on difficulty, Assisted & Standard it will always be 11:04, on Hardcore or Professional the time is 7:00. Just a tip for anyone trying to speed run the game.
@@saber7271 I think I used two heavies and 1 regular. But you might be able to finish it off with guns even if you ran out of nades(just be sure to get close enough with grenades).
@EcchiRevenge not bad tbh I also saw someone who used rocket while near the turret then quit the game as soon the check point so you can just teleport next to two switches
@@JackieFrankieful There are different categories tho, so it's not at all out of the question for ng+ Pro to have some ridiculous times. NG Pro can benefit from the time on the clock not changing, the 2 grenades to skip the wrecking ball, the portcullis skip with the armored gigante, etc.
@@psiryn.1135yeah no self respecting Speedrunner uses NG+ items in a Capcom game. Category or not it's for losers and the community sentiment is the same, it's not a real speed run. Also speed runs imply fresh saves each time as a standard since the 90's
@@JackieFrankieful i agree that most speedrunners will probably be doing New Game Proffesional as the main category but there are still a lot of big glitchless skips. The nade skips: Flashbang the goat head room for skip. 2 nades to make the wrecking ball section 3 to 5 minutes faster. 1 or 2 heavy nades into the AA gun to skip the route to the gatling Puzzle Skips/shortens due to knowing the answer The entire CH8 Battlements can be done in 8 and a half minutes with its skips, just requires 1 frag. Proper routing in Village section for Spinels because i imagine Bonus weapons may be allowed and even if not 30 for an exclusive upgrade is still valuable. Boss optimization, such as routing back to throne room for a gold egg on Salazar. I'm still on my NG+ run and I'm no speedrunner but I've set some pretty solid times that shouldn't vary too much on a NG and I'm sure im missing stuff here. 9:45 Ch1 (this was with bell skip so likely to be 12 minutes NG) 6:58 Ch 2 12:10 Ch 3 7:59 Ch 5 (This is definitely skewed by NG+ though) and 8:15 Ch 8 My Ch 10 definitely needs work but I'm still in range of 4 and half hr run
@@bigrabbi1166 yeah u could have save the 80k if your on first playthrough bro😆. I would've used "explosives" too but the normal nades didn't work for me or maybe my aim was off.
@@chococheese3706 Funny enough it was on NG+ with the Infinite Rocket launcher on my third run. I didn't feel like running all the way up to the turret and whipped out the bonus rocket launcher. Was shocked it worked
Imagine organizing an army of cult members and bioweapons for years, added on top of a huge military base on an island, only for almost all of your defenses being passed by a guy who spins against your gate with a sniper rifle and proceeds to phase through it like Danny Phantom
My guess is they were the game testers and already knew what was where or they some how downloaded it before the release date or maybe they just fucked around with the game and found it themselves
@@gagerodriguez7155 Not really. A lot of these skips are based around how original RE4 works. Using grenades to blow off door locks for example. Using explosives/fire to interrupt scripted animations. And because this game runs on RE Engine, those same exploits we saw in the other remakes are likely to pop up in some levels. Many of the first exploits being tested first would be the ones cheaters used in the other games. I can already tell staircases are going to be abused as a way to air walk past some of the castle towers this way
@@RedStar_N7 I’m gonna have to argue and say that none of this is true. For example the shooting of the bell from the village was never a skip nor was blowing up the was all after you defeat salazars right hand man, you don’t need to blow up the door in the farm, 1:18 wasn’t there and so much more. You’re so wrong on your points there’s no way you can make me believe that there was someone who can exploit those skips without being a tester or someone who got the game before release
The fact that grenades actually weaken the wall in chapter 14 is just....mmm! *chef's kiss* I was wondering why one attempt I made on my first playthrough took so much less time when I started lobbing grenades.
Should have added the "Salazar skip", for that matter. Save both golden eggs you find for him (one in chapter 4 after Del Lago, the other in Chapter 9 or 10, in the throne room), it's all you need to kill him.
The 2nd golden egg isn't really a time saver though, since you have to go out of your way to go back to the throne room to find it. Better to just use one egg, pop him with a magnum 2-3 times while he's stunned, and then stab him with the knife. That'll be enough to kill him in one go.
Since this is all NG+, you can shoot the lock at the barn in Ch1 or use the rocket launcher so you dont have to line up shots. You can do the same with RL for the gates at battlements. Can skip nearly all of Ch 14 using sniper tech to clip through door (and lots of others).
I got that chapter 8 skip on accident by kicking a dude near the wall the first time. I could not replicate it and I have tried several times. Nice to see you can barely hit it with a shot
chapter 1st skip : save yourself 10 seconds shoot the bell from the doorway before the initial cutscene chapter 1 2nd :skip shoot the lock from outside that window instead of use a grenade you can actually see the lock if you hug the wooden structure to the left of the window
It's also possible to skip the first Garrador and even the entire Wrecking BAll segment using a trick with the Sniper if you aim at the floor, line up Leon right against the door and do a specific camera trick, you just clip through
There’s a glitch to make you skip the entire wrecking ball sequence without having to go through the enemies if you scope in and quick turn by the fenced gate. You can phase right through it
game gives a rank based on how fast you beat it. For example for S+ on hardcore you need to beat the game under 5 hours, when average first playthrough takes like 15-20 hours Same thing was with RE3 remake but it was laughably short, first playthrough took 4-6 hours average and fasterst no glitch run is around 40 minutes
@@triple-d2640 there were a lot of skips, and game mostly played longer because you generally afraid to rush forward. As soon as you learn what you can do safely - it becomes extremely short
Chapter 14 you can skip the entire wrecking ball and Iron Maiden section by getting a scoped sniper rifle approaching the locked door, aiming at the floor 180* away from the door then as you stop aiming flick to the locked door and try to open it and you will glitch behind it. The tricks you show aren’t glitches but thought you would like to know. Hopefully they don’t patch as it helped me get my A rank on professional 😂
Tried with infinite rpg and it did nothing on the wall. Shot like 5 times because catapults, tnt wall, and everything else is damagable so I figured it would too
@@BearsMaulinKids really? i shot the hole in the wall with the rpg and it immediately cut to the cutscene after it only swung like once on professional lol
Omg being able to shoot the first portcullis open on the castle walls is great, I've been tossing grenades through the portcullis holes but now I can save a grenade.
0:20 this is possible with the handgun in NG but bullet travel time and drop exists so it's very difficult 0:43 you can actually just shoot the lock! :)
The grenades for the crane section is a nice one, rpg doesn't do anything to the wall so thanks for that one. Also not really a skip as much as help, but rpg can destroy catapults at beginning of castle instead of using cannon.
I remember when playing this game without walkthrough, tutorial or youtube as kid. If you found something unintentional you"ll be so hype bcs nobody knows bout that
I'm going for S+ on professional. When you first encounter the garrador, you can flash bang him, open the gate, and shoot him from the top of the ladder or just skip him altogether.
Can you also use rocket launcher on the wall during the wrecking ball section? But these little tips are a godsend, currently running through the game again and again to max out all the weapons and every minute saved is a huge help. Even though the game is awesome, after like 5 runs in 3 days it's getting a bit stale 😂
There's a skip for First garrador in chapter 6?, the door that has to be opened from the other side, if you scope and aim at the floor, quick turn and unscope basically same time and interact, you can appear on the other side sometimes,
Question I'm new here. What's the point of glitching to skip chapters in a single player game? This doesn't seem to be speedrunners I see many casuals just wanting to skip thru the game I don't understand.
god damn i was preparing my professional speedrun since i just finished s+ hardcore..... the ch14 n the tnt part i was wondering if u can use nade or not but now it answer for the ch14 i dont have any save for that part so cant test it..... but thx now i need to muster up my courage to do pro speedrun
During the Ramon boss fight you can throw a golden egg at his face at the beginning of the fight and empty a few magnum bullets or anything with a bit of power and he goes down instantly
Here’s a good one. In the waste disposal plant, instead of fighting the regenerator, you can lead it back to the bridge and have Ashley drop in underneath him. You lose the treasure, but save yourself a fight. Here’s one I haven’t tried yet. I read somewhere that if you’re quick enough, you can flash the two El Gigantes and drop them both in the lava. I wonder if it works.
Very helpful video. Though, I couldn’t help but notice that you missed one. In Chapter 7, during the area with the cannon and catapults, as your walking up the stairs (just before the catapult cutscene) you can look left and shoot the weight through some bars in the wall. This will cause the cannon to go up into firing position. Thus saving you the time and trouble of having to jump down, shoot it, and climb back around.
There’s a skip on chapter 15. When the AA gun appears and try and shoot Mike, you can throw a couple of heavy grenades up onto the roof of the building, and Mike will immediately get back to shooting.
On my first play through, I have no idea how, I did the Ashley skip totally on accident. I looked at the little clock and thought it showed 1105 so just put that in and just totally fumbled my way through. Only figured out I had done it the wrong way round on a second playthrough.
I’ve used almost all these for my S+ runs, but credit where credit is due I didn’t discover them on my own, I discovered them online lol. Nice vid though! Good for people who haven’t heard about these yet, the bell in chapter 1 apparently only works with a sniper on NG+, not on a fresh run
It can work with a handgun its just hard and incredibly precise. So in terms of a speedrun its better to just do the encounter than waste the time trying for a shot until there is a way to line it up consistently.
3:56 this would have been really helpful yesterday when I played this part. I had barley any ammo and I had to use my crossbow and knife for most of it. The pain I suffered .
An other tip to skip a boss is to have 2 golden egg to kill salazar almost instantly. One to manage him to open is mouth and the other in is weak point. (If you don't play with the rpg of course)
@Brendan Anthony Could still do them with the normal RPG, but yeah, good luck getting enough money for it in a professional S+ run though. Idk though I'm not a speedrunner
I saw in chapter 14 you can aim a sniper at the ground while looking away from the door where the lift is and skip that whole section because you clip through the door, idk if it’s fixed or not
Something I haven’t seen anyone else try is in Chapter 14 if you shoot the wall with the RPG enough, it’ll break. You won’t even need the wrecking ball
