It´s 2009. You just come back from school, have lunch with your family and when you are done it´s time for some Resident Evil 5. Nothing to worry about. Good old days.
Memories of playing this with my big bro during summer vacation and on Saturday mornings. It was 2009 and he just got it for his birthday. I remember how much of a gamer he used to be, and how we’d always find time to hang out and do stuff together, it didn’t matter what it was. Now he’s married and we don’t talk much anymore. The magic between us is long gone, but I can still look back on those days fondly.
I sure miss when me and my friends on PS3 online would co-op this game. One of them was a hacker and kept giving me infinite golden eggs to sell hahaha I'll never get those days back, but I'm always happy to remember the good times
Used to play this game all day long with my cousin. Best time of my life for sure. I feel nostalgic whenever I hear a soundtrack from this game, brings me back so many good memories from my childhood.
I remember being globaly ranked in Mercenaries, my best friend whos since passed and i invested hudred of hours into this... I'll never forget the jealousy he had when i bough the gold edition and he spent money on the dlc xD R.I.P my friend this song will always keep you alive in my heart n mind
I’m sorry for your loss, whenever I hear this theme I reminisce about when I played Mercenaries with a good friend of mine. Under appreciated RE game imo
Best third person shooter co op but mortal kombat shaolon monks on ps2 is a amazing co op beat em up everyone should play you can pick between lu kang and Kung Lao and scorpion and subzero are unlockables
3 years after your comment RE2Make came out, which had a model viewer, too, reprising the save room theme of the original RE2. Everything's connected, all makes sense :-)
I remember when I first heard that track 7 years ago, I told myself "this makes me want to reminisce the moments in my life". Now, 7 years later, it still does.
Actually, it plays while reading the character bios and story from past games. Which also makes me remind of memories felt while beating each Resi game since the first one 😄
Completely agree. I think it had an interesting story. Of course it wasn't going to be a horror game but it was super fun and kind of how I'd picture the world going when criminals purchased Umbrella Viruses on the black market.

I remembered first playing resident evil 5 on xbox360 back in 2011 when I was in college I had 2 resident evil 5 CDs and gave my brother one and we used to play lost in nightmares together in 2012 and would have lots of fun playing together now I cant have that moment no more with my bro since hes been gone for 2 years now
I'm a terrible reader, but with this music on the background i really enjoyed reading all RE5 Files I hope to see Sheva in another game in a near future...
@@taylorfullerlove313 for half the cost of this game. Then again, I got this game for 4 dollars on sale lol. I bought James Sunderland for TEN DOLLARS only because I accidentally bought cells back twice. Can't believe we saw wesker in dbd before another resident evil remake.
I still do remember the first time when I play RE5 whit my best friend in that saturday evening the year 2009 and this theme brough me a lot good memories no doubt, this game has a very special place in my heart
life goes on,memories stay forever, this game made so much great memories i cant leave no matter what i do,if i can jump timelines,id like to go back to the day i played this game, because it the best year ever,I was happy not a care in the world, until i became an adult ....
Yeah, I agree. I remember playing this with my big bro back when the game first came out. I had only played RE4 at the time. Although it’s not the greatest RE game, I have very fond memories of it, and it’s personally my third favorite RE game next to RE4 and RE2 remake.
I don't know about any of you, but these tracks always make me think of what life was like in those days. It was Spring 2009, I'd not long ended a serious relationship and found myself holding down a small apartment by myself, working during the day and playing this in the evening. It helped me escape the inevitable sadness that comes with difficulty in life, listening to this theme while looking at the files and figurines. That summer I would head back to university and meet the woman I'd later marry and start a family with. 13 years on and my oldest saw this on the PS Store not long ago. "Dad did you play this resident evil game?" - "Yes, I remember it well"
I'm glad I picked this game up 8 years ago! It may not be the best in the series or the best "first RE game", but if I hadn't played it, I would of never gotten into Resident Evil in the first place and loved it like I do now. I'll always remember those frustrating moments.
This game KICKS ASS. The characters. Story, unlocks, collectibles, stagedesign,AWESOME BOSSES, AND THE SOUNDTRACK IS BEAUTIFUL. especially this theme the drums and kinda swift smooth sound with the drums. Is beautiful. And with the chimes in the background. CHEFS KISS
this randomly popped in my head, i remember the summer 13' making an attempt to finish this game and it being such an adventure. this song being the ambience of a checkpoint. just letting this song play for a bit through my dad's speakers felt like such an experience. i already have such a huge love for resident evil 4's save theme, this one just felt like a beautiful addition to RE's arsenal of wonderfully serene sounds. thank you for posting this
10/10 track. You will sit in the viewer listening to this. One day, I hope Sheva gets her own game or at least comes back to the series. For some reason I always thought this game released while I was still in school, but it didn't. I was 22 when it dropped and I didn't hear a word about it until a friend's brother showed it off when I was at their house. I was hooked after that. BRING. SHEVA. BACK. CAPCOM.
10/10, sublime.
I feel a sinister undertone from this song, it seems calm but then there are those high pitched sounds which remind me of the screams of terror those experimented on with the Las Plagas or Uroburos must have felt.
resident evil 5 is the best resident evil ever for its unique gameplay and excellent format and good story telling between Chris and Wesker two rival enemies. resident evil 5 had so many modes like mercenary mode and mercenary reunion mode and versus and Survivor modes that you can play with others around the world. the game has such memorable characters and good references to old resident evil games showing that resident evil 5 was not far from its roots but resident evil 5 was a good balance between action and survival horror.
This game brings back so many memories, I used to always play with my brother who never really plays games with me now. I will always remember when we always played no matter what. I miss those days
Dude, same. I miss the days my bro and I played games together during Summer Vacation and Saturday mornings. This is one of the games I remember most fondly. He doesn’t play games much anymore or hangs out either. The magic we once had together is gone, but I can still look back and remember the good times.
I love RE5. I like how 5 and 6 you can choose where you want to go instead of replaying from the start as you do on 1,2,3,4,7 and 8. I don't mind replaying the whole thing but if you miss something and have to do it all over again oh jeez. I hope 9 will go back to 3rd person and bring back Jill and other characters back, and maybe co-op.
Best study music to read lores and view models of enemies and friends alike in the games. Capcom really outdid themselves with enemy designs of Las Plagas, and Uroboros.
I was at the lowest spot of life, between death in the family and the burning of bridges with the people i loved, i almost quit, but i wanted to beat this game. I remember sitting in this screen for hours
I just finished this game for the first time so I can’t really relate to the nostalgic comments but i’m definitely going for another play-through with my girlfriend! Awesome game, wish I played it when it was new Also.. the soundtrack is superb 👌
I'm still very confused over the massive criticism RE6 got at release to this day. Considering RE4 and RE5 came before it. It's been an over-the-top action romp since RE4, and if you accept RE5 and RE6 for what they are. RE5 and RE6 are probably one of the best co-op games, right up there with L4D. Playing RE5 and RE6 with a friend is a must, and everytime there is always fun times to be had. Hell I remember playing Leon's campaign with my ex and by the end of it, you're both on top of a train, the big boss morphs into a giant dog and crashes into an oncoming train. I paused and just laughed at how over the top it was, it's just great.
If anybody is still playing Mercenaries to this day, on the switch, please let me know because I would LOVE to have people to play Co-op with during quarantine!
With the announcement of 4 remake. It seem's all but inevitable that 5 will get one too. What y'alls hope for it if it does? I'm praying Sheva get's better characterisation than only having 1 scene where she only Talks about her backstory. Maybe even make her the main character instead of Chris, so can see from her perspective how Ouroborus was spread and infected her home. Ya know, experience what motivates her. Atleast that's what i'd like. Still so much potential for a version of this game to have been as great as 4, without out the weird tribal cliche stuff they did in chapter 3. The giant Majini and rail shooter levels were such a downgrade from the Giant ganados and fish bosses from RE4. If they make it where it's more like chapter 4-6 but all the way thru, that could be great!
Resident Evil used to have such iconic music, now it has such forgettable music. This one piece though stands out for me, it's the lone feeling of hope lost in the madness this series has produced for just over a decade now.
@@jrgamesbrx Sort of, I'd say 1 step forward with RE2make, but then 2 steps back with RE3make and now seemingly RE8, the latter of which looks like Resident Evil in name only... Capcom back to using the name for brand recognition instead of making a Resident Evil game the fans actually want.
@@jrgamesbrx I only played REvelations 1 and it was utterly forgettable, although raid mode was a fun distraction for a moment, it did not feel like a Resident Evil game. The sequel just looked like more of the same, for better or worse, so gave it a miss. Just my opinion though as a fan who's been playing the Resident Evil series since the original in 1996. I've hated nearly everything Resident Evil since and including RE4, RE2make is the first game in the series since 2005 that really feels like a modern Resident Evil game done right, for the most part, it still has problems though and missing content from the original like the zapping system, full A/B Scenarios, creatures/BOWs, locations, etc.
I'll never forget this was my first Resident Evil game. And me and my brother beat this game. And we read so much information. I did not know Chris and Claire was related after I read all the information about Chris.
I remember this theme so vividly In my head all the time, I was playing this game while I was barely in kindergarten and I’m still loving this game today. As a student almost in college.
As a horror game RE5 has some faults, as an action co-op game RE5 is one of the best, it manages to have both a remarkable arcade-y feel but also has one of the most grand stories of the franchise.
anyone here knows the name of the song that plays in the Lost In Nightmares dlc, on the underground puzzle part? (the one u have to get some cranks to build traps to kill the guardians)
