And even looking beyond the superficial names, the psychotic family will apparently have a connection to Umbrella and/or B.O.W.s (based on the picture of the Umbrella Chopper and the unnatural abilities of these characters), you will fight monsters and heal yourself using the same kinds of items in a Resident Evil game (even though Capcom has showed little combat so far), and you will solve puzzles, manage inventory, and explore open environments as a vulnerable protagonist, just like in the old-school Resident Evil games. From the information announced, your main setting will even be a mansion.
I get why people are uneasy about this game, it is a major change but here's a thought I have been turning to. RE4 was also a major genre shift for the series and look how well that turned out, there's no reason the same can't apply here.
Yeah but it had its main character, or at least one of them, now we have nothing. I believe Capcom used the franchise's name just to not lose money as they would have with a new horror game under a different name
+Arturo Kaadú You could say the same thing for resident evil 2, what's wrong with original characters, just wait until the game comes out before passing judgement
I'll still buy it, i've played all of them, i just hope that it'll make sense on the RE world, otherwise it would be just another attempt of a horror game on next gen
There is no way in hell i'll play this in vr bc here in Brazil the playstation vr is very expensive. HERE ANYTHING IS VERY EXPENSIVE. I hate being brazilian for this reason!!
This looks so intriguing. Especially after replaying RE4, the potential for this to be specular and frightening is through the roof. The Ganados and Los Illuminados of that game were semi-civil people. Their lives were changed and they became the savages they are when Salazar reawakened Las Plagas and infected them all. Yet they still laughed, spoke garbled tongue, had dinner, did labor. The Baker family could perhaps be infected with an advanced version of something like the Ganados have. Some of the main villains in RE4 like Salazar had the Plagas in them but still were intellectual and could speak, plan, and organize all the chaos going on. They controlled the Ganados. If there was some story where the Bakers were of a similar scenario as Salazar and others, and it incorporates the other monster and evils, it could be a fantastic addition.
I guess for people First person is not a camera style but PT. Get the PT thing out your heads man this game is exactly what RE needed. Zombies? Are zombies even scary anymore?
I only play Resident Evil games because of the story. IDM the zombies, ganados/majinis or even the undead animals. I love the plot of the game except the moment where you battle Wesker inside a volcano
+End Boss Eleven d000d don't play resi 4, 5 and 6 those are shit. Play Revelations 1 and 2, chronicles and older resi games. except gaiden. fuk that shit. (gaiden was canon for resident evil 3.5 though.)
This is what the series needs! A fucking reboot, 5 and 6 sucked so bad! I don't care if it's new characters, the game looks good, I hope capcom doesn't fuck this up
Its not really a reboot, the demo may not have anything to do with RE7 but it stil had ada wong even if it was in voice only so there will be some connections
exactly! I am very stoked for this to come out...people beg and beg for something new, but when they get it they bitch like little kids not getting candy at the store
Dude...when the man chopped off that kid's arm/hand...did it immediately grow back?? Because it kind of looks like it did. If so, then all of these people (the Bakers, I'm guessing) are infected with some sort of virus that allows regeneration? Earlier when that one man kept coming back despite being shot and set on fire also supports this. I'm hype for this game!
Now thinking about it this game seems very close to Sweet Home than the original Re. So my guess is that it after Re 6, but going back to the actual roots of the first game that inspired RE to be made.
damn it I was looking forward to a re 6 sequel and storyline, this shit looks like a generic ' the hills have eyes' we'll call it "the mountains have vision"
In the trailer we see Baker burn with yellow jacket . In the demo we see Baker burned with a yellow jacket. So , are their zombies who need to eat people to regenerate themselves?
First I couldn't wait for the release, then I bought it, moments ago I installed it and now I'm too afraid to play it... Fuck..... I'm going in, keep me in good memory if i dont make it back.... Dear Lord, help me.
People will moan about it cause they've got used to moaning about resident evil being shit but fair play for trying to do something different. I'm sure I'll shit myself a few times so bring it on !
Mortal Outlast Fighter Evil Hill Dead Bioshock Isolation Of Ethan Wake The Game Special Arcade Ultimate Limited Edition Remastered 3D+ HD collection & Knuckles para la PS4, XB1, PC, PS3, X360, Wii U, 3DS, iPod Nano, Sega Dreamcast y Atari Jaguar.
***** Pero la atmosfera es profunda, la musica es buenisima, la historia es oscura y profunda y visualmente es atractivo tanto grafica como artisticamente.
This looks so silly, I love it. Like proper resident evil 1 and 4 silly. If this game is able to creep me out and maybe make me chuckle, then I'm all for that shit.
Welcome to the Resident Evil VII comment section a place where : 1. Real fans already know this game doesnt have the right to be called RE 2. People argue that this game is going to be spectacular 3. "I dont have the balls to play this in VR"
Like I have said since the first trailer, in their attempt to go back to the series' roots, the completely went away from it. ...........now Resi 5 and 6 suddenly doesn't look so bad anymore, ehh boys? ;-)
I loved Resident Evil 5 but hated 6. Resident Evil 5 completely ditched horror but everything else about the game was great and it was tons of fun, especially NG+ runs and Mercenaries.
Me and my sis always have tons of fun with RE6 in co-op everytime she comes over. RE5 or RE6, I hate neither.... hate is such a strong and overused word.
PikaLink91 Hate is a strong word, but I promise I hated Resident Evil 6. I tried to play the game again and again and even got several different people to try and play it with me and I still never made it through a single campaign of that game. However, I'm looking forward to Resident Evil 7, for what it's worth.
The more and more trailers I see, the more I am convinced that this was supposed to be an original game, but they just stuck the Resident Evil name on it for people to actually buy it. It doesn't look bad, in fact it looks a little interesting, but it's just not Resident Evil....
I don't blame marguerite for gettIng upset. She made a perfectly good meal and this rude ass guest just spits it out. I would have happily started choking down on some of that good protein.
I feel this game will be like 10 cloverfield lane. In a way, all the shit from previous games is happening outside and the player trying to survive gets stuck in this house with this family.... Now is a question of what is worse. Being in that house or facing the apocalypse?
West Gaming uhhh no hes obviously trying to escape every way he can, he got stuck in the house looking for help or something probably just like Texas chainsaw massacre, got nothin to do with 10 clover field lane
my concern is....where are the zombies, that's what Resident Evil has always been about, unless from the first demo of this they might be keeping one locked in the basement. It's like they are trying to copy what Silent Hills (P.T. Demo) did but with more gore. But who knows this could just be a tease and none of this is in the actual game
Thier characters like chris and leone are famous just because it was 3rd person games, i dnt play this game just to see zombies but also chris and leone.
I guess i like the new "horror" Capcom gave to this game, but I every time they create a new RE I kind of cry because isn't what real RE players like, wee want something like RE 1, that's horror, that's a great game.
you want innovation, but are too quick to judge shit,. people are saying how in the hell this even resident evil well it sure has a big grotesque los plagus virus appeal, its ritualistic eerie scenery, mansions, narrow & tight maze traversing again, brute like enemies as well as virus like infected humans/ potential zombies,it still revolvs around Umbrella and in interviews they said there will still be puzzle and the whole resident evil experience just now in a first person perspective
Yeah that's what i meant, didn't alex transfer her mind into natalia at the end or something? There's even a little clip at the very end suggesting that Alex Whesker is in Natalia's body and/or mind
