it helps as a “bottom bitch” sort of fun if you run out of supplies. that’s the use case i would expect. i personally never use it because I’m just good though
Spencer didn’t supply this work environment with enough toilets for the number of staff employed. Imagine requiring a dump and your in B2 of the lab. Real survival horror!
Can we just talk about how Jill has no reaction to Enrico getting shot in front of her? Like, Jill, as a top tier police officer in a special cop force you should know people don't spontaneously get shot from the shadow realm. Duck and cover!
Don't worry, that's normal. Once you play a Resident Evil game through multiple times you get REALLY good at them and memorize everything. The first time, though, you get to take your time and take in the experience.
That was one of my favorite things about this game- it felt like actually getting lost but once you reach a level of ability to play like this its just so satisfying to see yourself go from a 10 hour run to finally getting under 3.
code veronica and re0 are my favorites because they're the most challenging and most difficult to memorize everything in, which makes them more replayable for me.
actually trying to play remaster on real survival for the first time now and it may be the hardest for me, mainly because i haven't played an re game without lock on since the original game many, many years ago. not to mention with jill you pretty much die in 2 attacks.
i could swear i remember the gamecube version having these really long, cool looking shadows for your characters that are absent from the remastered version.
@@Jack_80 They clipped into the walls, which was probably the reason they removed them all. (also didnt fit the "realistic" feel of the remake, since they were so low detail. imo)
Man, I really appreciate your style of commentary. No filler talk, no BS, just straight useful knowledge and handy tips as well as not talking during cutscenes. Props! Also this video seriously helped a ton while doing my first Hard run with Jill.
Carcinogen you got me into speed running this game, I only have real survival left to do for my platinum trophy, I just wanted you to know that you are a true inspiration. I used to be deathly afraid of resident evil when I was younger and the remake was even scarier when it released on the GC. But you’ve made this into a borderline Olympic sport haha thank you for making history with this game.
Everytime I hear Richard or Rebecca say "poisonous snake" I always want to ask Richard why he bit the snake (poisonous vs venomous)... but I've been hanging around too many snake owners....
HAHAHA I am from Brazil, and I learned the difference by actualy searching on google and I never forget when someone says "poison" or "venom" ...I always think to miself :D "He bit, or got bitten?"
"Poison is absorbed or ingested; a poisonous animal can only deliver toxic chemicals if another animal touches or eats it. Venom, on the other hand, is always injected. Every venomous animal has a mechanism (e.g., stingers, fangs, etc.) to inject toxins directly into another animal. It is for these reasons that frogs can be poisonous to touch or eat, while snakes are venomous when they use their fangs to bite." :)
Delta Zero hehehehehe. I remember doing a no save chris run first time (i always no save on these survival horrors. Gives it a better survival scary effect) i also run through murder hall and manage to avoid damage every time. For now atleast. Anyway. Into the caves. I had the flamethrower no ammo, and a handgun. A hunter attacked me bringing me to danger. So i run and manage to kill the hunter with a handgun. But thats not all. I killed several crimson heads and the elder with the handgun alone cuz i didnt wanna use so much valuable ammo. Worked like a charm, some crimsons died easily in a headshot and some got stunned. Ik its lucky cuz merely trying it again with elder crimson got me damaged afew times. Fun tho.
CarcinogenSDA as for the second comment, im more suprised at the impossibility of you replying to a video years old. Anyway its nice to virtually meet the legend. Im still baffled at how you can do these runs so fast. I think 4:20 is a good time and you do it in just under 2 hours. Aha. Also. How do you not get bored from doing it over and over again? I do a run once and if it fucks up i generally dont feel like playing anymore due to the lost time. Even then the game gets boring because i know i've completed it. Even then. The feeling to fully 'complete' the game is a nightmare in of itself due to invisible enemy. Seriously why WHY invisible enemy mode? Bullshit difficulty for sure. Last thing. Proof that sexism or somethin close to it exists in this game (just a joke tbh but yeah) jill has no extra pockets yet she has 8 spaces, gets the lockpick aka free door unlocks and barry's assistance plus the grenade launcher. Yet chris has pockets but only has 6 spaces, has to find keys and has no such support and no grenade launcher. Why does the girl protagonist get an easier time in the game then the guy?
Yo, 100k views? Holy shit, awesome I have also done Jill Invisible Enemy Best Ending No Save No Damage if you guys are looking for more things to watch on my channel. Check the description for a link to the playlist.
Realy nice runs, and full of tips. I'm actually playing this game, and seriously determined to get as good as I can get...by the way, what's with that zombie full of grenades roaming around the mansion, do you have a run meeting/facing him?
Dude, you gave so many tips I never heard about, even after searching a lot about the game! Like the cancelling of the shotgun recoil animation and the button mashing to quickly move on stairs! It was really helpful and insightful. This was a godsend.
How does one accomplish the stair skating playing on console? The closest thing I figured out was while having a gun equipped you can press hold down on the directional stick (which makes your character walk) and tap the L1 button as if you’re about to aim
Wait, if you decapitate a zombie after sticking it in the head with a dagger you can actually pick the dagger back up? This is the first time ever seeing that.
MassEffectFan113 its actually the Anaconda. .44 magnum just refers to the ammunition. The Python is slightly smaller and uses .357 magnum rounds. Just like in RE5 Wesker uses the Smith&Wesson m500 which uses .50 cal magnum rounds (strongest handgun in the world)
Got this game when it came out. Didn't read any pre-release reviews or have anything spoiled. The original is one of my favorite games so I expected to take what I knew from that game and enjoy the new graphics. So imagine my face when I realized in real time that zombies I've killed can actually come back to life and RUN at you with claws. I remember thinking "Why are these corpses not despawning?" Yeah, bricks were shat. Also imagine myself when hunters can move on stairs, or some zombies can open doors and follow you. Yeah. Good times. Capcom really fucked with me with some of their design decisions and I love them for it. This is a masterpiece. Also, I feel like I'm the only one who prefers Jill's original STARS outfit with the beret. One thing in particular I loved was how they incorporated the tunnel underneath the main stairs. In the original game, this wasn't the case but it was hinted at that underneath the stairs was a tunnel towards the laboratory and that's how Wesker was able to disappear with either Jill or Chris. So I was glad to see them incorporate this into the remake versus just going straight to the fountain in the original.
Another great walkthrough! Thank you for this; it really helped me beat Real Survival Mode. The first hour was the worst part for me and I knew if I could just get out to the guard house the rest would fall into place. This walkthrough helped me get out to the guard house and, as I suspected, the rest was a breeze. Thank you, sir.
How are you so good at playing? Also, congratulations. Your videos are amazing and super helpful. I can’t wait to watch your speedrun for the remake of RE2. Subscribed!
That will happen, for sure. Capcom already confirmed more remakes will be made. I'm lookig forward to a Dino Crisis remake, though, since it's a so badly underrated game (and one of my personal favourites)
19:46 - That's a creepy, lonely corner...I'd be scared to wait there for Jill to come back lol. What if a zombie wanders in and devours him before she can return? lol
You're amazing. I think I remember your name from the old demos archive. If so I've been watching your stuff for like a decade. Kudos, and never stop playing homie.
Nice run. But who in the hell walks around and hide all the small things to open a door here and a door there. I would hate my boss if he made me do stuff like that. Oh you want to go to the lab ey? Just get the right stuff and put it in the right place and you are set. But don't forget to reset all of that when you are done.
More importantly: as long as something proves you wrong, you don't have any reason to think that thing is anything different from a critically wounded man. He could as well been trying to asking for help, unable to talk because of his wounds. But no! Let's just shot him a .357 magnum bullet in the back. Actually, let's go ahead and be really sure he's dead meat: let's shot THREE .357 magnum bullet in his back. For fuck's sake, Barry, you're supposed to be a trained, seasoned cop. You should check before shooting, not the exact opposite
Your guide was extremely helpful in the development of a personal guide/routed run I used to beat Jill Normal in under 5 hours/3 hours. Thank you very much for the help!

I've watched all of your videos on Resident Evil initially for walkthrough tips. Now I'm just listening to them in my headphones while I'm working or cooking. Idk what it is man but you did commentary right. No attempts at playing a youtube character or anything. You've got me mashing subscribe for sure.
Good job dude! I almost couldn't play this game because it was so damn confusing. Now I've beaten the game and plan on using both characters multiple times thanks to your tips and strategies. Thanks for the badass gameplay!
Alright so i hope you read this Carci. Thanks for the perfect guide i was trying to do tje exact same strat as in the video unlucky enough i got poisoned by yawn. The good thing was i was Aiming for under 3 hours and do the bad ending. I saved right before lisa boss and i was literally running perfect not getting grabed by any zombie kill the tyrant with barrys magnum and the best time was 3:00:16. I shit you not i thought there was no chance to finish it under 3 hours. So the genius idea i had was to switch to japanese which you mentioned in one of your speedrun that its faster and i finished the game endtime 2:59:50. xD thanks for everybody reading this and good luck to anyone out there playing this Game
Update: just about done with my playthrough and watching this concurrently. Very very well done. Extremely helpful. I really like how laid back and mellow CarcinogenSDA is, myself......Subscribed. Gonna check out the other vids. Just 'discovered' RE for the first time this year and having a ball. PS1-RE: V X and now the Re-make HD.
"Just kidding, I'm not poodiepie" he'd scream at his own shadow for 5 minutes on video. I'm going to tear my eyes out and throw them. Great play through and commentary by the way
Carci my good sir, yet again your skills/walkthrough helps me. I got S rank on this for the first time. N I couldn't even do it in the 1996 original. Now I'm going through the terror of zero. Using your walkthrough. Thank you for your help and strats. God bless you brother Ps, after zero I'm going back to Chris's walkthrough with you Carci
@@chrismilton3240 Sure it is, but the only ones to compete for Best RE game besides RE 1 Remake HD is RE 2 OG, RE 2 Remake, or RE 4. the rest don't come near those titles.
@@Seahawkfan1108 Fair on all accounts. I would argue personally that RE2 og and remake are both better. But this is all totally opinionated and subjective xD. And of course RE4 is one of the special games that is incredible to play, fun for days. But it's not a very good RE game lol
@@chrismilton3240 RE 2 OG most definitely would be a majority vote for best RE title, I just love RE 1 remake HD cuz of the Spencer mansion. I say RE 4 is on the list a majority of RE fans really loved how Leon became this quirky smart mouthed bad ass and the combat system with a different twist from the main zombie enemies.
Was thinking about buying the game today just to own it on PC (still own the game for my playstation one and Gamecube), came across your video and got 2 hours of entertainment and the game for Pc. Thank you mate, awesome run.
15:39 lol barry is so corny but rev 2 really made me see him in a different light, he seems like such a nice guy & he seems so brave & he is a really cool character. so underrated.
I don’t know why but my favorite walkthrough to watch of ur is Resident Evil Remastered, one reason I think is cuz ur so informative about this game, well every single game u commentate on u are so informative but also u have humor and a pleasant voice. So ur probably the greatest commentator of Resident Evil I’ve have ever seen.
You make it look easy, bravo! Never played RE games before, but after watching I feel like I can pick it up and weave through zombies on the toughest difficulty. Surely I'd be in for a rude awakening.
Do you by any chance also have a Best Ending Chris's File Walkthrough by any chance? I love that you keep cutscenes in and your explanations are wonderfully detailed and helpful.
Thanks for helping me finally beat this game. Been a RE fan for years but never had a patience for this game I was hating it at first and forcing myself to plow through but towards the middle of the game I found myself not being able to put it down!
Hey man. Just discovered your channel as im playing through the HD remaster in anticipation for the RE2 remake. Videos are really informative and include nice little notes about the mechanics of the game and other little tidbits. All in all I have thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough after checking out your no damage run and can't wait to see what you bring for RE2. Subscribed!
OK I'm hooked on watching these no damage runs as you show such insight into the games whilst not going so fast that I have to ask "what just happened?" or "why are you doing that". Suppose I should watch the entire playlist :) Also thanks for letting us watch the cutscenes. And whilst I'm supposing, I suppose I should come and check out the Twitch channel too. Another excellent vid.
Awesome to find you did this run, ive beat this game many times as its one of my favorite games of all time. But i never attempted this mode because it just seemed to hard for me, hard mode i loved. But i figured i owed it to the game to at least give it a go, i went in blind, made it to the residence today, its not as bad as i thought. Now i get to watch you do it, good shit as always!
Highly trained stars members, and the 1st thing Jill does is point her loaded weapon at the back of Barry's head when they go into the dining room. Big ooof
Great vid man, I want to play through again and learned some neat tricks from this vid. How about invisible enemy mode or one dangerous zombie mode playthrough next?
3 years later I watched you do a recent knife and defense item only. Now you run right down the middle of the walk way and the sharks never come near you.
