Resident Evil just got a big update and some are NOT happy about it. With Resident Evil 4 Remake having launched last year and Resident Evil Village releasing two years earlier in 2021, the anticipation is at an all-time high for Resident Evil 9. Heavily rumored to be releasing in 2025, thanks to a new rumor from a reliable insider, Resident Evil 9 may just have been pushed back a year for a slated launch in 2026, but a new Resident Evil game is going to take its place in 2025. What is it and what else do we know about Resident Evil 9? We're diving deep into all that in this video.

I love the way you worded that. I have a serious problem with people saying it deserves a remake because it’s a worse game than the other ones. It’s still a more fun game than resident evil five as it is because I played them both the same year and I never played a fixed camera angle resident evil before so I’m not biased. I think five would be an overall better game if they got the remake treatment and has potential to be better, but I’m hoping they both get the remake. I really hope they remake the first game like they have been the other ones and completely re-hauled the third one and give us 0 as a sort of separate ways. Not for free of course. Then I never need another resident evil thing except for a Dino crisis remake, and then crossover with those games so we can have some zombie dinosaurs lol I think that would be sick

Idk some people want Veronica remake but me personally I want re5 remake. Prolly because I grew up playing it with my older brothers when I was little, but I guess it varies from everyone’s personal experiences. Some people played Veronica first but a lot more played re5 first. But I do think re5 will be the one to get the remake, because it was and still is more popular than re veronica.

@BlockAdsOnly IMO dinosaurs have more unpredictability in terms of various attacks (tail swipes, wrist grab & yank, jump on the player) not to mention they are faster than zombies. Hell developers could even add stealth mechanic to the game with today's advanced AI for NPCs.

I only want Outbreak 3/Outbreak Remake. The Outbreak series are the only good RE online games, and we need more of it. Playing Outbreak while talking with teammates through Discord is amazing.

the openworld theory is solid, given that RE4Remake had those vibes to it when traveling by boat and exploring all over...I'm sure they were just dipping their toes in it and now are going full force open world. can't wait

I can see it being good but I think it needs to be done more so like village areas to explore but not a giant barren open world. To Capcom credit I think they could pull this off depending on how they execute it.

@@calamityhex3729 Yeah I'm hoping they'll make the progression system require key items placed in different parts of the map with vague hints forcing you to explore those different areas as a whole to advance the story. And hopefully those areas are full of content and not barren.

@@ShyneSel if I have to pick something the inventory system from RE8 I know it's a small thing but the fact my weapon parts didn't take up space was the best improvement ever I always thought it was dumb weapon parts In RE 4 and RE 4 remake took up space especially given there's so much dead space between items. Leon doesn't know how to pack.

For RE9 I’d like to Jill (main character) and Chris rescuing Barry from an adult Natalia in a smaller quarantined Japanese town. I think it would make such an interesting visual setting for RE and could right the wrongs of RE3R but it will likely be Chris with Jill and wolfhound squad as side characters going after the BSAA somewhere rural in the US/Europe.

@@EllieValentineWong there are many reasons that doesn't work. One being ever since RE1 she has been head over heals for Chris like Leon is Ada. You can see it in the games that both Chris and Jill are in together.

Considering the way the resident evil series is right now, some of the leaks do make sense even if the sources are varied in credibility. Creating one big ambitions game to officially close the games' ongoing story threads to hopefully satisfy long fans would be a really good idea and leave resident evil in a place to get a fresh start. In fact it's entirely possible that Chris Redfield appearing in Resident Evil 7 and 8 was intended as a way to set that up

You want an open world Village map Where beyond the main quest. You are offered side quests and storylines. That don't alter your main story progress. One where the castle is able to be further explored without the threat of Lady D. I second that sentiment!

I'm not against an open world RE game, but I wouldn't want it to be too open. I'd prefer a setting like Dead Space Remake's Ishimura or Metal Gear Solid's Shadow Moses. These are very hostile locations open up gradually based on the player's actions.

Resident Evil is all nice and good, (in any perspective be it first-person/third-person or tank-controls) and capcom has been doing great with the series. Except Re3-remake, that should have been a DLC! I finished it in 5h40minutes. But how about new IP? Or some of those forgotten in times, like Demon's Crest on SNES.

I need resident evil 5 remake! Still coop and has 'gold edition' (Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape). Is RE9 going to be first person? I don’t like 1st person RE. It’s why I skipped RE7 and Village. I tried village when they added the 3rd person mode, but it felt off. A massive map with a 3rd person Chris Redfield in RE9 sounds like my kind of game.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind an RE1. True, it’s been remade once. But it’s never been remade in the RE engine like 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. If they’re going to “RE” the franchise, they should go back to 1. It would be so funny to see old fans see their expectations of RE5 go into shock from this announcement. Also, I think it would be wise to give new fans an RE1 with Criss before they hop into RE5 and go “Who Dat?”

here's what i think might happen, they might announce an RE5 Remake or a CODE VERONICA Remake or maybe something else, (i just think these 2 games deserve more than any games that hasn't been remade), 5 games in dev phase i think RE9 might be announced in 2025 and set to release in 2027 and for 2026 we might get RE5 or CODE VERONICA Remake or maybe a surprise by capcom. what do y'all think abt it?

An open world, Resident Evil has a lot of potential to give you an actual zombie Apocalypse, Survival horror feel. I love the idea and I hope to God they do it. They're gonna nail it. I know they are. They did it with Resident Evil 4 remake and all of them actually, in my opinion. I know they're gonna hit this one on the head. They won't let me down.

If it's gonna be funny, I wouldn't be surprised if it's some sort of Hunk/Tofu compilation. Personally I've always wanted to see a game/movie that takes place in Racoon City before the mansion incident. Just regular cops doing their thing and occasionally seeing something "unknown" X-Files meets Agents of Shield kind of thing. Doesn't matter, If it says Resident Evil on the cover, they'll get my money.

I can see a large map RE9 however I don't think it'd be something like an RPG so big and open. I can see a more expansive version of the RE8 village. NPCs are an interesting take I get ironically Dead rising vibes but I imagine they'll be played with a serious tone if they do exist. I'm all for legacy characters in an Resident evil game interacting and there's a narrative potential for said characters to have their own DLC campaigns and stories that tie into the main story honestly there's a lot of potential in this concept. Give me Chris as a main character and a Lever action in the western side of America and I'd love it.

I hope we get a 2 or 3 in one game with resident evil code Veronica and resident evil 5 ( and maybe a 4 part dlc re6 - perfect re fan collection then after we enjoy that and kinda maybe hit on major point that might come back up in apocalypse- And some interesting cgi movie maybe a book … get the fans ready for resident evil apocalypse ( If we get a platinum trophy in the new remake(s) that will unlock a demo of re9 ( like they used to do with gamers give them some secrets or cool stuff when we beat the ENTIRE game or on a certain difficulty within a certain amount of time )and then finally the biggest budget open world hopefully masterpiece re-9 comes out I kinda feel like this re-9 is gunna be heavily inspired by re village and silent hills new look games also coming out - on top of so probably looking the best game quality wise ! Fingers crossed 🤞 - and then they can finally make a resident evil movie that is worth seeing for every fan not the whole Alice bullshit where the guy just wanted to put his a wife in the movie 😅

I wonder what the next Resident Evil will be. A Resident Evil Remake game. I will be playing a Resident Evil games. I really would like a OG Resident Evil Trilogy game collection. That would be awesome. Or Resident Evil 9 with Leon, Chris, Claire, Jill, Barret, The girl from the Leon campagne etc. I will see it is. When my dreams comes out.

I understand not everyone like melee combat or 3rd person but if it's not like resident evil 4 then it's trash. They seem to always take away the gun upgrades and attachments and how do you see it if it's not 3rd person.

The only thing that would "catch me off guard" would be giving Rebecca Chambers her own game again! I hope RE9 doesn't fall into the same issues RE6 did. I would like the return of multiple campaigns lead by Legacy characters, but don't make it a Michael Bay film.

think about it it's actually not 9 , hear me out , it's rev7 , because bio and village were both spin offs and were just added to get a background on oswell spencer and where the mold came from and what originally happened ,so the end of r4 remake was to tease r5 that is gonna get a remade to go into a new direction

I hope RE9 will be more horror-esqu like Shadows of Rose dlc, THAT was such a great dlc and I had to have my mom watch me play during the beneviento house cause I was stared shitless 😂 And if we get another remake, I hope it’s Code: Veronica. We can’t get RE5 without the CVX or things won’t make a huge impact with the Wesker/Chris dynamic.

Rumours are just rumours. No substance to them unless a developer confirms it. It's very misleading to label a video that a franchise has just got a big update leading people to believe it's factual when infact it's clickbait which you clearly acknowledge multiple times 40 seconds in.

@@cctv2500 I’m tired of both, but mostly of Chris because he’s almost in every game. Leon hasn’t had an appearance since RE6, the remakes don’t really count and the CGI movies while he didn’t need to be in all of the game, you can easily ignore them since they’re just filler fan service

For RE9 they should bring back the T virus or las plagas or the G virus, there’s nothing in the lore that I’m aware of that states how these viruses disappear except for the obvious destruction of raccoon city. And what happened to the village and castle after Leon left??

I think it could be RE1 getting a remake if so why not had RE0 in the mix and make it one game RE0 & RE1 should be put together making it a why better and longer game that would be sick
