Ah yes, this does bring back memories indeed! I love how this song still has it's "creepiness" that it had when used in the original RE and is so good they even used it in the REmake for the Gamecube....a timeless classic! :)
this theme was very memorable and first theme in RE that i remembered since i played the original game 10 years ago. It makes me want to think about going through a door every time i play RE/Biohazard.
@nightmare011 There's a thing called atmosphere, and it was done very well in the first two games. From what I saw of the remake, they overdid it. The house was silent, brightly lit and inviting in the original, making the monsters all the more alarming. When they turned the setting into a haunted house Gothic mansion is the remake, I quickly turned it off
@savedogz I highly doubt that dude; I'm playing the original again lately and can't see what a remake could do to justify its own existence. But I will try the remake out one day perhaps, if only bc the original creators were involved and I'm morbidly curious what they did with it
@TheMostBleedingHeart I liked 4. 3 was good, but what a letdown after 2. I'm due for another playthrough of both, and will possibly review them on this site
@IantheLiberal im sure you will love and enjoy the remake in its own special way, I do find the remake more scarey due to the graphics being so real like I am able to get into the game on a whole.. another... level... lol then the orginal, not dising it. It has more of a scarey facter to it, but people who know the game inside out prob wouldnt have that problem since I am stuck and zombies return that I have killed raise up again more fast deadly and such at me, lol.
@Chrisevil11106 Cool. I keep being implored to finish the remake so I shall. You're the third to tell me lol. I want to write my own Resident Evil. I'm still in the pondering stage but the ideas are coming along and I'm excited. Hope you read it if I ever publish!
@TheMostBleedingHeart I'm with ya, but I'd rather it be creepy than action heavy. Tone goes a long way. One thing I liked so much about the first two was they had one key location you're tied to, giving a certain claustraphobia. A high school might work for a new entry
@aaronjarvis1 I played this remake for oh, about five or so minutes, and decided it wasn't for me. They turn the mansion into a gloomy haunted house, complete with lightning crashes. I felt they botched the atmosphere completely
@StonedAssassinNZL I don't see why you'd say that, especially since I'm defending an older game (Resident Evil 1996), while you're defending a newer one (Resident Evil Remake 2002) If you enjoyed it, that's your opinion; I'm just saying I couldn't get into it. I still hold that the first two titles are the series' golden era
@IantheLiberal remake was way more better then the orginal because of there almost realistic graphics, it made it way more scareyer and real like, and they changed things in it from the orginal so its not 100% the same, you should try it sometime, the remake has more scarey atmosphere, the thunder is pretty sppoky in a scarey place and zombies are more deadlyer they come back as super zombies unless you burn there bodies or something like that, thats not in the orginal. Remake is scaryer by far!
@nightmare011 Dude, I'm the one defending the original RE, and you're the one apparently defending the remake; so on what basis are you saying 'there's never gonna be another RE1'? Yeah, I know, that's kinda why the remake seemed to suck for me. beginning to wonder if you know the Gamecube RE was a remake...
I hate people who started playing RE games from 4 or 5,just like 5lyjyWaft5r!!! Kids, these days! Go play the older Resident Evil and learn what horror and FEAR is all about!
the evolution of REgames very dissapointing... THIS is what resident evil is all about and not running around in afrika under the burning sun with a hot afrikan girl while shooting innocent black/pakistani people...
