@@AlmightyPolarBear He did say "as a courtesy to you, the viewers" which made me think that there were a significant amount of comments not wanting him to search every room before? Which seems kinda odd... I don't always view the comments section but here, a lot of people seem disappointed that he wouldn't search rooms thoroughly. In other RE playthroughs, a lot of comments were also telling him off (as usual lol) for missing items, secrets, and lore. So idk why he said he wouldn't thoroughly check rooms now, as a courtesy for the viewers. 🤔

Spoilers for the RE7 DLC episodes, for those viewers that would appreciate it: Jack Baker has the same "turn into white crystal and crumble" death in RE7, but then he somehow reincarnates as Swamp Man for the End of Zoe DLC. As is fitting for a towering vampire with a name starting with a D, Lady Dimitrescu shall remain dead until she suddenly isn't.

@@mar_speedman Nope, he was definitely talking about selling the more expensive pistol. The starter pistol was worth only 185, so barely worth the effort. Also, he explicitly said he'd only use the good pistol until its 9 bullets ran out, apparently being unaware it uses exactly the same ammo as the starter pistol anyway...

I think there's a bit of a technicality here. Cause if you didn't buy the like extra DLC for the game you wouldn't have the Samurai Edge, so the starter gun he was talking about was actually the LEMI. The Samurai Edge can't be upgraded and he was talking about selling the "starting gun cause it's rubbish and not worth upgrading", so if you think about it yeah... The starting gun refers to the LEMI since the Samurai Edge (the cheap one) doesn't exist in the fiction of the game unless you paid real money for it.

This took me a minute to realize but the masks represent the four houses, sorrow for Moreau, anger for Heisenberg, joy for Beneviento ( it even has the same mark on the side of their face. )

Speaks highly of Moher Miranda and hates Heisenberg. Then of course her 3 daughters. Honestly, I've played the game twice and watched a few playthrough so at this point I'm just over thinking things that don't matter, just me being curious.

I'm more curious to how the hooks in his hands were able to hold his body weight given their position. I'd think the weight of his body pulling down on them would have caused them to rip through his hands on their own. But, video games :)

But even that cut scene doesn't explain it. You can Assume Miranda told the Lords but at that point it doesn't tell you how Miranda knows or the Duke and the Old hag in the village. Though for Miranda I guess its inferred by her wanting his baby.

@@CiarlaArt CapCom completely fluffed the story element of Resi 8, absolutely no slow burn revelation, just a massive infodump at the end, if you've seen it then you'll know how. Won't say anything spoilery, but the entire thing could have been avoided by communication, Sadly the story seems loosely put together and kind of silly, great potential not utilized

@@shashwatsharma2596 I've seen it, just trying to be careful how to word things so I don't accidently spoil anything :) So yes, I know what you mean for that part at the end, would have been cool to have it more integrated into the story mostly things concerning Mother Miranda herself. Capcom is aware of the lack of communication as the game actually points it out. But yeah, I do get what you're saying... Re6 did something similar, Helena refusing to tell Leon anything until after the part with her sister.

@@CiarlaArt Mother Miranda wasn't given enough time, in fact I think the game would be much better had they made it a bit slower paced, time for nuanced exposition, slowly piecing it all together, why she's called mother miranda ..., and then maybe a few surprises in the end.

@@shashwatsharma2596 Spoiler Warning; if anyone is scrolling through this . . . Mother Miranda needed much more time, they're talking up this big bad but you see her very few times and she doesn't interact with Ethan directly until the end (Guess you could count the Old Hag, but you don't know its her). As for her name, I think that is because she's a mourning mother, she even called the Lords her children regardless of the fact she didn't really care about them. She also took acted like a religious figure so the name could be a call to Mother Mary for example. Also in the end credits that book shows her saving a child's life in the village which is how she was able to inject them all. Show why they all looked up to her like a miracle bringer. I would have loved more on the Lords. I don't know if things got difficult with the world pandemics, or what. But if could have used more. Like Donna's section is so short, skipping cutscenes you can get through Lady D and Donna in just over 1 hour. I had 48 minutes in the castle then 15 with Donna (2nd playthrough so I knew what I was doing)

I watched the first episode while waiting for my copy to arrive and been loving it so far, now I've been watching you play the bits I've just got through to see if I missed anything haha. Watching you play this made me really wish for you to release a bloopers and outtakes compilation, like I would love to see how many times it took you to do the labyrinth puzzle, times you freaked out or got caught by big boss lady and so on

It's a shame Jane can't be here. As a lesbian, I feel so understood by her comments and feelings towards Lady D. In all seriousness, I am loving this let's play. The commentary is so funny and delightful. I actually really like and generally prefer more slower, thorough gameplays since I enjoy having them on while I work. Hearing the reactions to the happenings in the game is nice since I can't constantly be looking at the screen haha.

I've always loved it when the villain seems perfectly fine with having their beloved family members try to kill you, but when you turn around and blow their heads off, they blow their tops. Like, did they actually think that the hero was just going to stand there and get nommed?

@@AlmightyPolarBear I've seen too many gaming channels that are cramming in as many ads as possible, placing them every minute or two and making the videos generally unwatchable. Here they were seven minutes apart on average and became less frequent as the video went on. That's a lot, but still less than on tv. I just thought I'd give some feedback as a lot of channels seem to be having a hard time figuring out midroll ads.

@@MalcolmPL Let's just hope they don't keep pushing the acceptable. Like I hope we don't end up being like, "Ads every two to three minutes. No big deal." Like I understand this is part of their income (outside of merch and tickets when they did live performances), just I don't want an hour long video to be worse than TV advertising (not as bad as what you wrote, but pretty intrusive regardless).

@@AlmightyPolarBear Yeah. I've just stopped watching a lot of channels because of obtrusive ads. One channel I watched, two ads at the beginning, then before the video actually starts there's a five minute sponsorship deal, followed by two more ads. To heck with that. Fortunately some channels are realizing that ads hurt veiwership and have been getting better at it rather than worse.

Another great video! How about one you name hazardous/over complicated/ridiculous infiltration strategies, which should've been reconsidered? Like in LOZ Wind Waker, when you infiltrate the Forsaken Fortress the first, by being loaded into a barrel, and launched through the air.
