Ethan meets the squad for the first time, Ethan gets thrown on the floor by Canine. (Dog handler) then you meet Chris and Night Howl (communications) the rest of the squad is doing recon. No one died in this scene.
The first guy keeping the pistol that far away from Ethan's reach while he was on the ground is perfect technique, never put it within reaching/disarm range.
The guy who disarms him canine is former Devgru seal team 6 and shows proper weapon handling and skills, I wonder if he was from red, gold or black squadron also he snuck up on Ethan better than most others have as well
@@daianspahava8279Probably went from one of the assault squadrons (Blue, Gold, Red, Silver) to Black, since Black is composed of senior members with recce experience typically
@@alphabroncotwozero392 Yeah, looked like a half-assed attempt at an RNC which Ethan countered with a seoi nage (shoulder throw). Chris's man then sweeps Ethan from his back, but it's hard to tell exactly how. It looks almost like he's playing z-guard, but the way in which he controls the wrist while doing so is something I tend to associate with spider guard in BJJ. I don't know of any sweeps off-hand that involve going two-on-one against the opponent's wrist to break their posture before using only your legs to actually execute the sweep, which is what it looks like happened here. That said, I'm not an expert so there could very well be one I'm not aware of.
@@SaftonYTI don’t know how it call in English, but when I studied bjj, this sweep was one of the first sweeps we learned, when you grab one arm with your arm, opposite foot with your arm, and push his pelvis with your foot
Makes sense when you think about it: In the Spencer Mansion, most of STARS was killed by zombies, BOWs and by Wesker. In Kijuju, BSAA's Alpha team was wiped out by the Uroboros prototype, Kirk Matheson's helicopter was taken down by several Kipepeo plagas and most of Delta team was killed by the Ndesu with the rest picked off by plagafied tribesmen, the sole exception being Captain Stone. In Edonia, Chiris's team is wiped out by Javo and by Carla Radames, and BSAA forces later suffered heavy casualties in Lianshiang, either from infection via aerosolized C-virus or from battling Javo and the Iluzija, with Piers Nivens becoming a Javo and sacrificing himself to take down Haos. And when hunting Glenn Arias in Mexico, the mexican soldiers aiding Chris are all killed by zombies and booby traps. Chris also failed to save 3 soldiers when he went after Lucas Baker during the Baker House Incident. I can imagine that after seeing so many soldiers killed in action over the years and being the last man standing again and again, he probably decided to form his own elite team that could actually hold their own and wouldn't get shredded within 20 seconds. The BSAA becoming more corrupt and morally questionable later on also likely played a big part.
Heres some help for those interested Umber Eyes (UE): sniper Canine (K9): Dog Handler NightHowl (NH): communications Lobo (LB): gunner Tundra (TD): agent
@Lusye Tampi In the concept art, they explain the roles of each team member. Dog handler seems obvious enough title. They also didn’t show much of the team members in action, except for Lobo who helps Chris with the targeting
Night howl is my favorite..that South African accent really put things together for the squad and its diversity. We need a game/dlc strictly about these guys
@@WolfAirsoftYT that's definitely not British. It's absolutely South African. I mean I can see how someone would think it would be British. Maybe even kiwi. I've worked with operators on deployment who have this accent and that's their nationality.
@@sdsdfdu4437 I didn't mean diversity in a woke way. Just meant its nice to have a squad from different backgrounds and locations. It creates a more dynamic environment for the gameplay, story. Anyone who served would know how important diversity is to any battle element.
@@RomanvonUngernSternbergnrmfvus A large chunk of the HW squad's gear, including the parkas, were from a Japanese brand called Volk Tactical. They don't sell the jackets anymore, and when they did they were like $500 each
When Chris said that Ethan was out of his depth, he wasn't wrong. Because this whole Miranda stuff is a small part of a bigger problem. The ending showed that the soldiers sent down by the BSAA were all bioweapons or clones that were bioengineered which ultimately goes against what BSAA even exists for; preventing bio terrorisms. If we compare this to Chris' eyes or if it was a whole campaign featuring Chris, it would just be a single chapter. That's how much out of depth Ethan is. And for what it's worth, Chris' secrecy was all to protect Ethan which I think he considers to be a friend and fans know what happened to Chris' friends or squads. Since Ethan's dead, the next game will definitely feature Chris or other returning characters like Leon or Jill. I think that's better since fans including myself would like that. Ethan's cool and all but damn, he does not compare to Leon. And no, while Rose's DLC is fun and unique, I don't think she knows what lies out there especially with someone like Jake Muller around. RE world is bigger after all
I have a pretty big feeling it's gonna focus on Ethan's daughter or a new character. As much as I would like to play as Leon again, it wouldn't make sense at all because they're very experienced characters.
