Awesome! Rose has the power of mold remediation! Usually you need a small crew for a job like that. It’s not cheap either. She’ll always find work in states like Florida and Louisiana.

I played the demo of RE8 in 3rd person - even though I've played it before, this almost felt like a brand new game from the change of perspective alone!
You guys always put in a crazy amount of effort, I'm sure more than we realize. I hope you guys find good balance with enjoying the games you play and having to push out the content so quickly.
I really like playing in a different perspective for Rose, happy they added 3rd person camera for Ethan but I would really love for them to keep adding 1st as an option, even on remakes like RE:4. Playing as Ethan in 1stP has been a blast and for me makes everything a bit more frightening. Can't wait to try this, thanks for the vid!

Sad that Shadows of Rose isn't a bit longer (didn't realise it was third person only either) but really looking forward to jumping back into that world.
Loved it. Loved how it wraps up at the credit scene but it still feels like there's a lot more to explore. So I'm anxious to see when or if they ever do continue and if they ever cross paths with some of our favorite OGs from the franchise. Only gripes I had with the Rose story was the enemies taking up a lot of bullets and just how slow and clunky the run mechanic is. It could've been a couple new areas but I was fine just going thru the familiarity of the layouts, bringing really the best 2 maps from the main story. So get past the running part and hone in on your RE skills, I quite enjoyed it.
lol at first I thought I got sick or something, got dizzy and nauseous. But then I realized I got those feelings just after playing this game half hour or so. The thing is usually I'm fine with first person so I didn't think it's because of the game xD.
Im honestly more excited for the new Third person mode added , strangely I tend to replay games with third person way more then I do first person games so I'm really glad to able to replay this from my more preferred perspective..
Me too. That’s kinda weird huh. Lol. I literally just bought this game because i just found out about the 3rd person mode. I never beat RE7 because i wasn’t a huge fan of the first person gameplay. Idk why, i guess i just feel like RE does best in 3rd person
@@jahspace yeah I've played & finished both Re7 & Re8 once and never played again because it just wasn't appealing to play again in first person, yet I can replay Re1, Re 2 remake, Re 3 remake, & RE4 remake without missing a beat in third person..
I just finished this dlc and it took me around 2 1/2 hours. I agree with Jake that the horror is still top tier here. The story also felt really compelling, at least for me, I was hoping it would be a little longer but it was a good little way to cap off the story of the Village campaign. Makes me really curious where the games are gonna go next, plus on the upside the expansion isn't expensive at all!
preordered last month & preloaded last night, been waiting over a year for the gold edition to come out so i can finally have the complete RE8 experience. super stoked to get this right on time for Halloween + Ragnarok right around the corner!! 😭
totally jumping in on the winters expansion for re village not only does the 3rd person mode looks cool and seeing everything in a new perspective, but also being able to play as rose and re-exploring the village and the mercenaries mode looks great to with the addition of lady d and others too think it's definitely worth the price tbh
So I 100%Ed village on steam but since the dlc announcement it's removed from the list as they added more achievements. I have no idea for playstation and xbox
I'm one of those people that aren't big on 1st person perspective. I'm now more enticed into getting RE Village with the addition of 3rd person mode. although I've already watched the entire story of the game via youtube playthroughs so I'm still contemplating if the gameplay along with the new 3rd person view is worth it.
It looks alright, but I'll be waiting for it to be way cheaper first. A 3 hour story DLC for a 10 hour single player game that came out about 18 months ago is kinda insane. This probably should have been ready to go for this time last year.
Since i get motion sickness and headache while playing fps games, i had been avoiding RE Village till now, but thanks for the news, i can finally enjoy this game, heard great reviews
There’s already tons of gameplay of this expansion on RU-vid. It is awesome. And now that you can do the third person I might actually go back and purchase the game and play through it including the DLC.

Sounds like they might have nerfed Rose a bit power-wise then from what I am hearing here. Not that I wanted a whole powerhouse version of her or anything of course, but still it seems like what they did give her only serves as as a temporary deterrent for enemies so she has more time to take them out with a gun or whatever. Would have been great if they gave her SOME kind of actual deadly ability to use against enemies instead of just freezing them or whatever. But still looks great otherwise, awesome job on this one guys as always!!!
Hopefully in the next installment, given Rose is a main character, they could buff her up a bit considering she's only a teenager here. Imagine what adult Rose is capable of!
@@KatSpicert Rose will not be in next game (RE9), they said this will wrap up Winters storyline. RE9 leaks give impression Jill might be MC in RE9, but from the looks of it, it will be set in same timeline as RE7 and 8.
If they step up R.E "9" with a bit more lenght but still no overstaying the welcome that would be top notch. We need more HUNK though! The R.E2 very high adrenaline run to safety add on was great! And the pumping tunes/ music in the background was cherry on tha cake
Im loving ths so much!!!! Its like the perfect mix of RE4 and RE1 for me! I know some fans want more survival horror but some of us are more attracted to the Metrovania and Adventure like aspects also. Dang this made my weekend! I love how its the perfect mix of story to. I care enough about it but still feel like I get plenty of action also. Bravo Capcom!
I’m definitely looking forward to shadows of rose. New story section. I pre-ordered the game and got it the day it came out, but I haven’t had a chance to play it yet for various reasons. Hopefully I’ll have some time soon.🎃

Personally, after a few years of gap between Village and this, would've expected more content, maybe different locations in the village and so on but I will play it fully nevertheless and patiently wait for RE:4. Pre-ordered both. Love the series
I’m really on the fence with this one. I mostly loved 8 (the scariest area was a bit too much for my taste) but I’m not going to touch the mercenaries mode or the 3rd person mode. £20 is just a bit steep for 3 hours

Theyve been sneaking in alot of what Shinji Mikami has been doing with The Evil Within series. Wish he would go back to Resident Evil but at the same time The Evil Within games have been awesome on their own
So... One third is something that has no right to not be free (it's basically a mod), another third that should free, and another short original third that reuses a lot of assets. Capcom is going hard trying to justify the price tag here. If the base game wasn't so good and worth its price I'd be pissed off, but no way I'm buying this unless it's on sale for $5 (maybe $10) in the future.
I'm glad it's not just me who feels that way, it feels so off and the camera not showing Ethan's face makes it worse imo, I don't mean not being able to see his face but how it almost hinders the gameplay because he immediately turns around if the camera is too close
On the time subject, I’d rather have a game (or in this case DLC) that’s short and good than long and overstaying it’s welcome. Short experiences have there place too and for the price it all seems worth it personally. There’s a lot here, a dlc story, a reason to go back through the main game, and a reason to revisit Mercs which is welcome. A solid DLC IMHO
It's the default first person 81 FOV in RE8 that makes everything look smaller, if you were to increase the FOV to 90 FOV with REFramework then the view would make everything look much bigger in first person.
Good assessment. I couldn’t agree more I spent money to unlock lady d and big H and I can’t play them lol… I have to grind a bit in mercenaries to unlock them Loved shadows of rose and third person gameplay.
I’m not the biggest horror fan but I enjoy 3rd person RE games so I’m thinking about giving this try since it has that now. Idk if I could have done RE7 tbh.
I've been waiting to play resident evil village, and now with all this extra content to dig into I'm super keen. Especially since it has 3rd person now.
Question; through new mercenaries or shadows of rose is there any additional unlocks for the main campaign or any new skins for Ethan to go with third person?
I blew through most of Village's trophies as soon as I got it, before Mercenaries made me fall off. Pretty sure my last one to unlock is the melee run. With the dual lightsaber. What a time to get 3rd person.
