All hail the Game Cube. Seriously. Incredibly smooth and fast graphics with amazing gameplay. It's incredible that you can pick one up for twenty bucks now.
Agree hardest RE. I'm on hard mode great story line loved how some clips of RE2 was in it. But the random little bosses made the game not so much fun but waste of ammo/time/Heath Centipede....stupid, bat stupid and hard af. Random frog? Those leech zombies can go too hell too haha The proto tyrant and final boss easy? Wtf! Haha
The main boss is Marcus, one of the founding fathers of Umbrella. Apparently, after being killed by Wesker and Birkin, he revived later thanks to his research and (I'm guessing) self inflicted infection of some strain of the T-virus he created from a Leech (hence the mutation). The game takes place before the events in the first Resident Evil (where you found Rebecca cowering in a save room), and as to WHAT it is about..... shooting zombies, doy!
this was the last resident evil game to really incorperate the "survival" aspect of the game. That fear of running out of supplies is what made this game fun and difficult. As a loyal fan i do enjoy 4 5 and op raccoon, but the feeling of making evey bullet and herb count is gone, i dont feel like i survived in re4 and 5 i feel i just completed a mission i was sent on. Revelations is the only resi that has come close to reincorperating survival into Resident Evil again
I think the best thing capcom have to do for all the RE fans, is to make an collectors box with all the episodes of resident evil, included the versions that came out on the DS, and versions that only came out in japan never in europa or america, in total there are more than 34 games of resident evil telling a part of the complete story. and still there are parts of the storyline missing who can be translated in a game. (continu reaction 2)
Everyone should know by now that the original RE games on Playstation were the best, but I have to admit, the Remake of the first Resi on Gamecube is most likely to be THE BEST Resi made yet! I've played the original PS1 games and the remake on GC.
continu reaction 2: its great that the whole story is build basicly not only about the T/G virus but also about the 3 family´s who are central in the resident evil games. marcus ? (resident evil zero), the spencers (resident evil 1), the ashfords (resident evil Code veronica), I think before resident evil zero there is a whole story to tell about umbrella. a collectors item, with all the 34 resident evil games, the books, makes the story more complete.
I really like the over-the-shoulder view that re4 and 5 had but the puzzles are a little bit too easy at times but the enemies and bosses are tougher I hate to admit it but it's true.
@DrMantecol Believe me, Wesker is totally my favorite character from ALL resident evil series, including books, games, and stuff (not movies). I was hoping he didnt die, but the creators of the game told he was totally dead and he wont appear in future releases >.< Hail Wesker, he's a true Anti-Hero!
Nintendo always showed something innovative, excluding the failed N64, although cartridge platform is preferable for some people given the almost non-existant loading capability. The reason why the GameCube was able to present more realistic lighting effect, which ultimately made games such as Resident Evil Zero seem superior to PS2 or XBOX titles were due to the number of texture layers per pass. GameCube had 8 texture layers per pass compared to 4 for XBOX and 2 for PS2.
actually i wanna see the remake of re 2 with the style of zero! two players together, no item boxes etc etc A and B scenarios playing together, one story, two different versions, depending the primary character (leon or claire). who wouldn't buy this game for crying out loud... with the power of the new generations consoles, we would still hold the old ones with nostalgia and keep playing them, but we would lose ourselves with the remakes.
This is one Resident Evil game that pissed me off the most. Lol. It's probably one of the hardest games I've played. I remember being stuck at one puzzle in the mansion where you had to balance that scale out with the statues. I was looking everywhere for the missing piece and could not find it anywhere. Never would have guessed you had to examine the books to find them. I figured that out and was like, "Are you fucking serious!?" I like games that give me a good challenge though.
@heroes91092 Zero 1 2 and 3 was horror survival. 4 and 5 are more like action survival. It's just not the same genre. We'll hope the future RE goes back to the roots.
They already announced that Re6 will be a reboot It's understandable though because Re5 was a Finally to the original Series with all the Former Umbrella employees dead even the Mighty Wesker
Everyone knows resident evil 5 was a step backwards. Resident evil 4 was fun but I miss the fear the old ones gave me. Hopes up for 6 hopefully they do it right.
or "this gun is powerfull esspecially against living things" now that was the worst/funniest line ever. I think I have not to mention the Jill sandwich^^ X3
Depends on which game you're playing. In this game, it seems like the mutation was against his will, but RESIDENT EVIL: THE UMBRELLA CHRONICLES shows Marcus willingly mutate.
I was disappointed with RE4 and RE5, they don't keep in tact with the series as well, don't get me wrong because they are great games, but just not Resident Evil anymore. RE0 and REmake are the true gems for me, the updated graphics, sound, and not forgetting the inmense horror. The Macabre Hallway in the GC version of RE1 with the crimson head lurking around haunted me since I was a kid, that place was complete carnage!
@Gr1mmReap3rT2 I just wanna see the whole game with todays tech thats all, capcom has done alot for us and what we got was darkside chronicles cause they have been working on other games for their fans to... but if capcom had more time they would do a real remake of RE2 and RE3. Honestly I don't care about the transformations I just wanna see how well the game has aged with a new look on PC,Wii, PS3 and 360 to. Capcom has their hands full so they tried their best with darkside chroncles.
that is the younger version of markus. when he graduated from uni i fi remember correct he wore something like that... around the half of the game and later, we discover that this guy 'could be markus' son, or grandson', but he's actually himself, just younger. the leeches i guess gave him control over age. lol. we see a pic of the book too. play the game, and you ll see!
@BakedSoda actually, wesker dies in RE5, so he wont be in any other game of RE :( im sad to say it, cuz hes my favorite in RE, but well, all good things come to end.
@penetratorr No. you are wrong, because hte most technologicaly advanced console of the PS2,NGC, and X-Box was Xbox 1, PS" and NGC never will have the power to run Doom 3...
Nintendocult nice work on this video but i have past the game in all of them it was littie bit hard but i got fill it so yeah but i have bein littie bit mean to the zombies because they wanted to eat my barins :) anyway keep up the good work From Rebecca Chambers in S.T.A.R.S and do you play ZM or ZP if you do tell me okay and stand bye and if you don't look on ZP and Zm on RU-vid and i have played all of Resident Evils i have played number 1 2 3 4 5 and as well i watched all of RE
i havent seen this video in 2 years and you actually decided to reply my comment. lol anyway yeah your right. but can you explain why markus have been reduce to his younger self
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily influenced by the world of Resident Evil and the music of Masami Ueda and other RE composers. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
haha actually he is markus. he has all of his memories his knowledge etc etc markus dies but the leeches took everything from him and 'brought him back' in every way than the human!
Nah, Umbrella has, and always has been, about controllable bio weapons. Zombies weren't their answer, only a starting point, as their whole idea was shooting for a weapon to be deployed on enemy turf, spread like wild fire, while at the same time being manigable. No Bio weapon is productive if you have every bit a chance of controlling it as your enemies do. Hence the Palaga of 4 and 5. Zombieish, but still capable of following orders.
Sorry, I don't remember what you have to do but take a look at IGN site or Gamefaqs site dude, you'll find your answer here. (On Google, write "Resident Evil Zero IGN walkthrough" or "Resident Evil Zero Gamefaqs walkthrough".)
Yeah, RE4 used in game cut scenes, RE0 does not and they are all CGI. That is why they look better, in game though RE0 uses pre-rendered backgrounds, think of it like a wallpaper. Then the characters are actually 3D and move in front of a non moving background.
@xRocketzFighterx Can you imagine how awesome it would be to play a remake of the 2nd game? Get to see Birkins mutations all over again but with better graphics (and no I'm not a graphics whore, lol, but look at the difference in the RE 1 remake, like the snake boss, when he opened his mouth). Better battles, add in some side areas like the RE 1 remake. CAPCOM should really think about it considering how many fans want it.
