Resident Evil was the shit, I'm gonna collect them all, so much nostalgic moments back in them days man, its like I play these games know and puzzles that would take me like hours to figure out when I was younger, I get them done in near moments
I mean, not very well explained because you stop see Richard, Kenneth and Enrico just in the beginning. The game have a lot of retcons, for example if i remember well the Laboratory is connected to the RPD not the mansion so how Enrico manage to enter? RE Zero is more like a side story or a spin off than a Prequel.
@@FrLi_Marcos Jesus, mate, if you ever win the lottery, you better give me get a couple grand at least for doing this. Here we go: Bravo Team's Bell was sabotaged by Wesker. Kevin Dooley manages to land them safely. Bravo finds the remains of a military police vehicle and the two MPs escorting Billy Coen to a military prison through the Arklay pass. They assume Billy is responsible. They split up in search of him after the rescue becomes a manhunt. Enrico, Richard, Kenneth, and Forest all reach the mansion. Edward and Rebecca make their way onto a train bound for a separate Umbrella facility. Edward dies and Rebecca does not even reach the mansion until Alpha is already on the ground a day later. Go to the RE wiki. Here's Forest's page: residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Forest_Speyer
Also Rebecca is bad ass, she faced the train nightmare and then the mansion horror right after and still made it out alive! She could be better than that Alice from the movies.
Also to cover more ground and dont forget they were unaware of the danger that lurked in the arkley mountains how many zombies and B.O.W.S do you see in real life.._.None, to them things like that only happen in moives
i love that, "ok this criminal is brutal and ruthless, lets all split up into one person teams that will allow for us all to be picked off easily one by one."
the resident evil series has a feel to it that i dont think any other company can produce, other than capcom. the music, the scenery, the mixture, the expansion of a whole other world. the resident evil series is at the top.
@TheGamebusterMarc I know, right! I've never understood the whole Scooby-Doo gang mentality of "Let's split up, gang!" It's so prevalent throughout fiction, but in a real life situation these guys would've been a unified ass-kicking machine with guns pointed every direction moving as a whole unit.
I swear when the camera cuts to the forest it looks like both the Spencer Mansion and the Umbrella Management Training Facility can be seen in this video, has anybody else noticed this?
It's honestly hard for me to say which RE title is my favorite, but I think 0 may be the best one I played. The atmosphere was far more frightening, the creatures were terrifying (especially the leech man UGH!!!), love Rebecca, Billy was awesome, got to see what Wesker (my favorite character) was up to before the mansion incident, Birkin got more screentime, the stages, and the music...oh man the music...absolute horror fest!!!!
this game kicks ass ,,i just beated the game 5 minutes ago..now its time to play re 1 i have the ps3 and i bought the gamecube used yesterday just to play this games..omg..
Great game, and a real Resident Evil. I was hoping that you would get to see STARS Bravo team throughout the game maybe if they had cool personas, but no. Badass game anyway I'd like to see Billy in another game or at least as a playable mercs charcter.
ahh its fun to look back on these old games and see how much the franchise has evolved. and i dont care what people say, RE5 was one of the best of the series so get over it!
To ehmcee09, Umbrella Chronicles is available on Nintendo Wii. It covers RE 0,1 and 3. there are a couple of small bits related to 2. And it also has a brand new story set after 3 too
When you play through the game again you'll know the right places to drop items so you don't have to backtrack far and know how to manage your inventory better. I thought it made for a good yet different kind of challenge not having to rely on item boxes for a change.
@bombadecasa Yeah and Richard Aiken was one of the most heroic characters in the entire franchise. He thought about everyone before himself and sacrificed his own life in the end to help others.
I´m considering Zero to be one of the best chapters in the series. As a great fan and veteran of the original back in ´96 I think Zero feels most like the original. Riddles, puzzles, great location and story, HORROR. A Resident Evil how it´s supposed to be! :) And don´t get me wrong I am addicted to the fifth one but the old ones a completely different thing! And the original overdone with "newest" technology is a great move! The first Resident Evil. The probably best video game ever made!
another thing i've noticed is that both the los plagas and the leeches from RE0 share a collective intelligence, and if you kill the leader (queen leech or saddler) then they all die. Also both the leeches and the los plagas have a huge weekness to sunlight (although the majini don't).
Resident evil 0 is like the phantom menace of resi games. Flawed but its release was memorable. I got this for my 14th birthday and my dad sat down with me and watched the intro and train level to see what all the fuss was about. He slowly realised video games had come such a long way and exclaimed "jesus this is bloody brilliant!" haha. Good Times. I don't think games are ever as much fun to play as they are in the houses you grew up in. 0 is missed opportunity, there's a good game in here somewhere but making the training facility the main setting was lazy and just another mansion. The train level was really enjoyable and should've been longer. I would've loved the chance to explore the forest and mountains to bravos downed chopper, hanging out with bravo team that shit would've been sick!
One of the best RE in your eyes. Then you're a fool. When I said it makes so little sense, I was referring to the fact that the events and style don't fit with the other games. We have Rebecca learning about the viruse before the mansion incident and dealing with monsters the likes of which no one has ever seen. And by the end of the game she has a freaking arsenal of weapons.
Resident evil 0, you had one job - show us what happened to bravo team. You did show up for this job but unfortunately because you were hungover you focused on the first character you saw which was Rebecca and ignored the rest. You're fired, resident evil 0. I like the train tho!
yes, but its about which ending you get, but in normal case she survives, but she never appears in another game. She only appears in an RE book called "Caliban Cove"
1) this game was GC only. 2) this game is very difficult. the 1st stage (train) you defeat a large boss then have a set amount of time to slow, not stop, the train before it crashes at the mansion. it's crazy.
Personal draw to RE:0, two characters fighting together rather than seperately. Rebecca is the littlest member of the STARS team but she lives and becomes and Elite fighter.
It gets kind of confusing, but yeah, it seems as though Zero took place a day before 1. When she and billy separate at the end, it is morning, and then she heads to the mansion. If you played umbrella chronicles, you'll see that she falls asleep inside one of the rooms in the mansion when Richard finds her.
heres everything in order: 1)RE zero 2)RE 1 and Remake 3)RE 3 4)RE 2 (starts about a few hours after RE 3 starts but ends a day before RE 3) 5)RE code veronica 6)RE 4 7)RE 5 That about summs it all up....
i think, umbrella is like representing the goverment wide power and how his doings have impact on the people sometimes a terrible impact (wars, poverty, corruption, conflicts, etc). and S.T.A.R.S. team are like the people that still "fight" and focus on resolve these problems. (a writer's symbolism maybe?, though i haven't read the novels)
I had completed REmake a few weeks earlier and had just rented RE0. I struggled through the puzzles and zombies on the train finally blowing pretty much all my ammo on the zombies after the crash. I went up the ladder and emerged in the mansion. I had 3 handgun bullets, danger level health and no herbs. I listened to the music and smiled. "Here we go again" I said to myself. That's fucking Resident Evil, not these easy mmode pussy games they keep making. I miss the old days T_T
i really hope capcom consider making another zombie style resident evil with the graphics they used in res 5, a new resident evil in racoon city with zombies would simply be immense
Yes she was. But after a fall of hundreds of meters while she was unconscious. And Wesker headed for her. Rebecca was to "unimportant" he wasted time focussing on her. But Chris and Jill were a completely dirfferent thing... I like both of them but don´t forget that Rebecca is a 18 years old girl without combat education. A teenager! And Jill is a military trained special force member. You can´t compare those two. :)
I was kind of refering to the fact that some of the things in RE0 don't quite match with the first game (the jeep for example). I wasn't saying that it was bad. I agree with your thought.
@gundamUC79 just so you know, it was capcom that messed up the directors cut, not americans. they had a chance to fix it with the greatest hits edition, and they still failed.
Lamecube what's wrong with the console it brought most of the resident evil games we know today from 2,3,1 remake,Zero,4,outbreak 1-2 and code veronica?
It was a Gamecube exclusive. But it was re-released to the Wii in Japan and the re-release is supposedly coming to America this year. Doesn't matter. Game makes so little sense it shouldn't even be canon.
the ambient sound in the background when they get out of the helicopter and find the truck is the same sound in half life 2 when you leave the trainstation in the beginning... just something i noticed :S
lol I've just realised that the Helicopter part of this intro was used to make the helicopter part of Area 51's(not blacksite) intro, hell the team's name also was Bravo, heres the link go check it out compare it to Resident Evil 0's intro...Rebecca's quote was also used in it...
no that is a fact (the whole can't be done in split screen for Zero cause it really can not be played split screen with all of the fixed camera angles but RE5 is still now awesome)
@Werewolfstudy I agree. A lot of people are hoping the two will appear in future RE installments along with Barry Burton. Maybe Resident Evil 6; keep your fingers crossed :D
@kingsboro1 you seem to know about the resident evil games. I dont know nothing. Just out of curiosity, in the movies the Character Alice, is she in all the games? I only have played Resident Evil Nemisis. Though I want to play all games. Is there a website that I can learn about each game and story line? Im just asking becuase it seems like you would know.
Even though it will only be on the Wii in Japan, you could always special order it. Even though its the Japanese version, the characters will still speak English.
I think in my Opinion Resident Evil 1 Remake for the Gamecube and Wii Edition is the scariest one, ever since first playing it, that Mansion Lab could not get out of my Head The others I got threw easy but theres nothing like the first!!!
