imo the best solution, is to remove the max of condensed resin u can make. There fore when u dont feel like farming one day, u can spend them another day when u do feel like farming

I'd like that, but honestly I'd also like to see an overflow system like HSR so that you can get some value even if you can't log on in a given day.

This makes it so people won’t hop on the game every day, the point of capping resin is the fact that you have to inevitably hop on and waste time to spend the resin which makes you want to stay on longer to do other things. If they made infinite condensed you wouldn’t stay on long enough to see what’s new In the game or new events and quests to do ect. You’ll play one day a lot and the rest you won’t play at all. It’s scum behaviour but that’s now mobile games make money :/

@@itsmilkshake9926 I don't think mihoyo minds people burning out, as long as they're invested while they're active. In fact, they might prefer that people burn out and then come back later because those people will be likely to want to roll on returns of characters they missed.

Honestly, at this point, all I would ever dare to want from a resin update is just to get the cap to 24h flat. 21h is absolute shit if you have schedules and also like to game on a schedule (kinda the fucking opposite what games like this want to achieve: steady retention)

They have the Resin cap at less than 24 hours because they want to force people to log in twice per day so it can hopefully cause the player to form a habit since the game can't stay alive in its own merits but instead has to use psychologically manipulative tactics to stay relevant. Also the developers are scum. I think forced daily player retention does more harm than good but hey, I don't have the data. I just know it's one of the things that made me quit.

@@Swagbastian yea I absolutely get that and why it is set at that, but I don't feel like this is worth it in that particular case. Many gacha games already reverted on that at this point< has more benefit than the numbers might suggest (they are always skewed btw, because the numbers are predicated upon those forced login times). People would badmouth the game less and would feel less stressed about the game, if you were able to allocate a set amount of time every day to genshin, like you can with every other gacha on the market. It actually makes it easier to form a consistent habit instead of having the player worry at all times throughout the day and have him login at times he doesn't want to or feel good about. Like I said, many gachas understood this already.

i'd say that the resin cap should increase after reaching certain a certain ar. that or just have the limit on condensed resin removed.

The game is intended to manipulate you for player retention and playtime. It's scummy but apparently very profitable for them.

I'd prefer more opportunities to obtain fragile/transient resin over an increased amount of "free" daily resin. -- Don't extend the minimum daily commitment time.

@@Swagbastian yeah man, my dream in the game would be 500 resin everyday, or 200+ with ways to earn resin apart from fragile resin, waiting and primos. Also primos should be easier to get, considering how bad the gacha system is. For example in wuthering waves u cant lose 50/50 on weapons, u always get the one u want. Characters are 80 pity but u can lose the 50/50. 3x80 pity in genshin for weapon is outrageous. Also i have missed kazuha cuz i lost the 50/50 everytime...

@@Swagbastian I dont get why mihoyo babies hsr and genshin gets nothing. Genshin has earned them billions and is the better game imo. I mean imagine getting 10 wishes each patch and 20 with every new region. Imagine what hsr will get on their anniversary....

I think the resin problem is when you are an old player, you get a new character but you have none of their mats, you love the character But sadly you can't farm the new boss, level up talents and artifacts with only the daily 160 The only fix i wish to be implemented is to have the cap be higher for high ar players

Genuinely, I don’t think there’s enough primos to be pulling a 5* character every patch. You get 50 pulls per patch most of the time and with welkin you get about 60-70. Now if you’re lucky you’re getting the limited 5* every time but if you miss you need 180 pulls. So overall, over the latches you save you can prefarm most characters to the point where you can assend to 90 and talents to 8 till the new boss mats and then hopefully you’ve got the local specialty b4 as well. With xianyun it’s different cuz everything about her was new so you need to have fragile resin saved for those occasions. Overall if you’re smart about how you’re gonna use your resin it shouldn’t take longer than 2-3 weeks to build a new character

Let's consider the worst case scenario where you have literally nothing. Ignoring the fact that you're limited to like 2 trounce mats a week and assuming you can't perform any materials, to go from brand new 5* to Lv. 90 6/9/9 talents it's ~1940 resin or 10.8 days of resin accumulation, including mora, books, everything. A banner is about three weeks so even if you were to pull a 5* on every banner you would still have twice as much resin as you need to keep up. Now if the complaint is that you can't day-1 max out a character... then idk. Hopefully you can prefarm with all that extra resin, otherwise I don't really see how spending a week and a half to raise a character you like is that bad.

I totally get your point of the having to do god knows how many runs if the resin cap is increased and how grindy it is. I think that's actually your best point. Esp when people compare it to HSR's overflow system, where it's not a big deal because I can just auto battle when my overflow has reached it's max while I'm watching a movie or whatever. That said, I'd love to have just the condensed Resin cap increased. idk, make it 8 or 10. And especially add an option to uncondense resin.

i dont agree at all, if you dont want to play JUST DONT PLAY....why not have the opportunity to play more?....some of us want to play more but there's nothing to do, we want to grind WHICH IS PRETTY HARD considering artifacts farming is ridiculous , and we can test our characters by playing AND win something back by doing so.....some people dont play league all day or fortnite so there is no other game that you can spend time on, so why shouldnt the game to spend more time be genshin?/????, it only has to be lol or fortnite?....(there are others game such as minecraft csgo etc, BUT NOT EVERYONE PLAYS THEM), i really like genshin and i wish there was more to do in the game than just do story guests and spamming the click botton...we have spent so much time building characters, WHY NOT ENJOY THEM BY HAVING SOMETHING MORE TO DO WHICH IS REWARDING

what a bad take, there is no reason to put soft-limits into a pve game. the most reasonable point you made was one shotting bosses when you are just starting out and while that's a valid concern for new player experience that would bring into question unlocking unlimited resin at AR 30 or so which I believe is around Inazuma in the archon questline, new artifact domains get released constantly and artifacts are the biggest scam there is, it's rng on rng on rng. wuthering waves from what I've seen lets you infinitly grind equipment, do you think they don't want player retention? having fomo mechanics is a shitty move and defending that kinda tactic is super weird

I think they need to implement a version of Star Rail's overcapping. Not to the same extent, but at least making it so it doesn't feel awful to leave your account capped on resin because you couldn't play for a couple days. Let it overflow like Star Rail's a bit.

The argument of the amount of characters pulled being the same leaves out allot of context from recent patches that makes the issue worse, plenty of new units have made older units that have fallen off or were never all that good allot more viable, hell Diluc is now no longer a bad unit to pull because of Xianyun, and let's not even talk about what Furina did for units like Jean and Noelle, the resin issue is currently worse because more units than ever are viable.

So I'm sorry. None of the points mentioned can be an excuse for having to repeat spheres several hundred times to finally get usable artifacts. This is torture! Often you go completely empty-handed for several days or even weeks in a row and then use artifacts that are not optimal. A lot of material is lost. Maybe it's simming. Resin is not too little, but it is too expensive to use. And the charging should be based on 24 hours. What's this nonsense? The fact that Genshin is only suitable for casual gaming is homegrown because it simply doesn't offer the content. I assume TCG was just meant to be sarcastic? Of course, I only go into the game for a few minutes a day because there is simply nothing else for me to do. In order to continue to enjoy gaming, I have to play other games. Therefore, my willingness to spend my money on a game that can no longer entertain me when I'm at the end of the story has decreased. sry, my English isn't the best.

The fact that the Resin system artificially extends playtime and increases login amount in more ways than one is psychologically manipulative and therefore morally wrong. Games that employ energy systems shouldn't exist in the first place but because they do, they deserve to be condemned as often as possible and not be supported at all. On the point of grinding being extremely repetitive and exhausting, exactly! That would stop people from grinding so the Resin system doesn't even need to exist! The sheer stupidity of the game design would prevent most people from playing "too long"! 9:44 You even admit that the Resin system is in place to manipulate people into getting addicted! The way this game is designed is morally unacceptable and people still supporting and praising it makes me lose faith in humanity. Even your tone in this video is quite neutral when you basically have a moral obligation to make it negative. If the Resin system didn't exist then people wouldn't feel pressured to log in every day and they could treat the game casually like everyone says it is. Some people only log in daily because they have a limited amount of Resin per day and the reason they want infinite Resin is because they don't want to have to do that. The point is that a lot of people don't want the Resin system removed so they can farm MORE, but because it would enable them to farm LESS. It would let them take their time and farm at their leisure instead of being practically forced to log in daily, but of course the system is working as intended.
