Resonator vs Muffler Delete (Which Sounds Better??) 

Bro, you ought to be applauded! I have never viewed such an awesome side-by-side comparison.

I personally would go with the resonator delete, I like that deep rumble, but that muffler delete just has that raw hemi sound lol, like them both alot

Resonator delete = loud but clean Mid-pipe = dirty, throaty V8 sound Is personally would go with mid-pipe, especially for a Dodge

I love how many different sound test you did here instead doing the usually start up and rev video.

Resonator Delete sounds the best. Both sound good in their own element, but when the resonator delete, you get that nice lows, engine sound, and it has a better high end note. The Mid muff delete is good for the pop factor, but when the rpm drops, it sounds like you are pressing your lips together and blowing out - sounds raspy/dirty and not in a pleasant way.

Right to the point bro. Excellent. I have the mid muffler deletes on my 19 392, and it's not crazy loud in comfort mode, but when I switch to sport mode, it's and absolute monster.

Forgot to compare drone on video but here's my take. Though the resonator delete isn't as loud as the muffler delete, it has more cabin drone at cruising speeds. Hope this helps!!

Finally someone with knowledge! I’m deleting my resonators and going with axle dumps. My hellcat is already loud, so I didn’t want to make it too much louder. I want to do it to drop weight. Thanks to your video, I know it’s not going to be too much louder. Almost every video people are saying resonator delete, when they had a muffler delete. The resonator on these are right before the tips. Thanks bro 🙏

Great comparison video. You don't know how hard it is to find such a plain and simple video showing exactly what we want to see. It helped me determine that I'm deleting the mid mufflers and the resonators. I love the raw sound of the mid muffler delete. Might as well get rid of everything but the cats.

Thanks to this video I went with the resonator delete. Overall cleaner and slightly more aggressive sound. Just what I wanted. Yes, a little more drone but still tolerable. Mid muffler delete is louder, has some minor crackling and popping, with the occasional sounds of wet farts. Which is everything I didn't want from my exhaust.

I've been trying to decide between the two for my SXT Plus for awhile now and this video helped me decide on the resonator delete solely because I don't want anything too loud but just enough rumble to turn heads if that makes sense.

I may only have a V6, but I'm gonna do what I never seen in a video at least, at first I bought two flowmaster outlaws, was planning on doing a mid muffler swap with those two, but now opting in for the outlaws as rear resonators, and putting a flowmaster super 10, dual in dual out, because I really want to hear how it sounds, and see if flowmaster outlaws keep out the drone better than straight pipes at the rear end

Nice comparison video. Everyone does mids. Been on the fence about it. Can’t say I don’t like the resonator delete better. It’s cleaner sounding throughout the entire range of acceleration. Back in the day Idve prob taken both off , think I’m just gettin old now 😂😂😂

Best comparison video on the tube and no fluff. I prefer the resonator delete just because of the lower notes. If you like raw then the muffler delete would be your ticket.

Awesome video man! IMO leaving the big muffler and removing smaller resonator gives you a little more torque which is more useful in everyday driving, and still quiet inside while making it a little louder outside.

The resonator delete sounds throaty and temperamental.. the muffler delete though sounds like a pissed off lion. Resonator sounds better at idle, muffler delete sounds better at everything else

I prefer the resonator delete. It sounded clearer and you didn't hear too much of the back pressure. What would you recommend if you swap out the mid muffler to a different brand? I had a flowmaster 44 last time and it rumbled. Thanks and great video.

Definitely prefer the resonator delete for me. Love the low tones of it. But I APPRECIATE the mid deletes, when I hear them pull away I get excited!!! Its just not for ME!

Thanks so much for the vid; great job. IMO like the mid's deleted sound much more however to each their own. Had the mid's removed on my 21 Scat WB. Much better louder exhaust sound. Nice popping burble when you let off the gas, more so in manual letting off the gas at high to moderate RPM. Actually very similar to Borla Atak that was on my 14 Vette Grand Sport and 17 2SS Camaro. Deleting the mid's is so cool and easy at a good muffler shop, took approx an hour, was $300 but this is in LA.

I cut out the mids and put in 2 flowmaster flow fx . Took out the resonators and installed quad tips. Drone is what it is but I tell ya my Hemi sounds and runs mean af. Daily driver 2.all good fam. Do what you like is what I say. Great video BTW. Excellent comparison
