In this Video Lecture, Professor Fink describes the Regulation of Breathing, including both the Central Chemoreceptor Reflex and the Peripheral Chemoreceptor (Aortic & Carotic Chemoreceptors) Reflexes. Reference is made to the Medulla Oblongata, Cerebrospinal Fluid pH of 7.4, acidosis, alkalosis, Pulmonary Ventilation, the Phrenic Nerve & Diaphragm muscle and the Intercostal Nerves & Intercostal muscles, autonomic motorneurons & the degree of bronchodilation, the danger of Voluntary Hyperventilation, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Sleep Apnea, hypoxemia, HYPERCAPNIA & acidosis.
