We are at quarters of Engine 4, Truck 1, Car 32, and SOC 1 of the New Haven Fire Department at 952 Grand Avenue, where we take a ride with Truck 1 to a Box alarm at 242 Davenport Street between Kossuth Street and Stevens Street for a fire in a kitchen. Engine 11, Engine 9, and Engine 6 were first, second, and third due engines on the Box respectively. Truck 2 was first due, whilst Truck 1 was second due. Car 34 (West Battalion Chief), Rescue 1, and the SOC truck also responded. The call ended up being food on the stove that got burned, but did not spread, and was extinguished before responding companies arrived. Truck 1 was released upon arrival. Truck 1 is a 2013 Sutphen Monarch SPH 100 tower ladder truck with a 100-foot mid-mount aerial. Enjoy the view of the run, as well as the sounds of the siren.
