I agree we should not nit pick. There are definitely minor issues we don't need to fight about. However I am not nit picking in this video. The points I raised and the topics being discussed are not minor at all. It literally was the main point of the reformation. That being, " is salvation man caused, or God caused?". Also, the continual misuse of a scripture verse out of context, even ignoring key phrases in the verse in order to support bad theology is not minor and needs to be addressed and corrected. That's what I'm attempting to do. To those who think I'm nit picking, please explain what exactly is minor and nit picky about the points I made in this video.
I see this and the comments and then basically every single Christian RU-vid channel and it literally puts me off the word of God. No one can agree on anything, literally thousands of different viewpoints, I'd have better luck playing russian roulette with just myself than getting to heaven.

There was no fighting in my comment. I was correcting someone on the misuse of 2 Peter 3:9. Everything I said was respectful and factual and intended in love. Please show me where I said I think I know everything. I do not think I know everything. Just because I corrected him on an incorrect statement he made, doesn't mean I think I know everything. Nor do I believe he is wrong on everything. He has a lot of good things to say. However, in this case, he has demonstrated a lack of brotherly love and has shown a lack of discernment in the scripture regarding the topic being discussed. I appreciate your thoughts and your willingness to put this out there. To me his attitude in the video was so antithetical to how Christians should be with fellow believers and nonbelievers, and really to the thoughts he’s expressed in most of his other videos on both of his channels. I was surprised at all of it. He even had a video on his other channel in the past year or so about why it’s beneficial to listen to men like Andrew Tate. Essentially you can fully reason out why you disagree with his beliefs and better debate or explain yourself.
While I agree with much of what you've said, especially with regard to pursuing an ongoing discussion, I also see a big problem with disagreeing with what Dewayne has said. If we have no say, if our actions, our deeds our words truly cannot change our destiny, then everything boils back down to common atheism or humanism. Why pursue God at all, why pursue truth at all, why pursue goodness, and mercy and compassion at all if in the end either one of us or both of us are going to hell anyway? There is no Christianity without free will, without a choice to change who we are. If we're all just programmed already, then what is the purpose of man anyway? What as the purpose of Christ dying on the cross? Why are we even here if we cannot change our destiny?

You say to live a certain way because God commands it for His glory, but if we have no choice in the matter, how can we bring glory to Him? You say we should do it because God commands us to do so. Why obey God? The bottom line is this, just like with your children (assuming that you may have children), do you want their love and respect because you command it, or do you want it because they truly love you? There is a difference.

@@terrell2376 I never said we have no choice. Of course we choose. The question is are we autonomous in our choices outside of God's decree. Outside of God's hand. According to scripture we are not. Also we do not decide what is true about God based on human relationships and human love. God's relationship with man is not the same as our relationship with our kids. We must start with God and scripture and reason down to man. Not the other way around. We do not command our children to love us .God does command His children to love Him. Analogies can be helpful but they can also be a hindrance. I would stick with what God says about His love and our choices. He says we come to Him only if He grants it. And if He grants it, we come.
According to the scriptures that I listed, the Father is willing that some perish and has even made them for that purpose. That's not what I'm saying. It's what the scripture says directly. The question always must be what does the scripture say? Not what do we feel is correct.
@@C_williI don't think about it. We are not told to figure out whether we are elect/predestined or not. We are commanded to believe the gospel. Anyone who truly believes that Jesus is the Christ and has died for their sins and endures to the end, is saved. Anyone who is truly saved is also elect/chosen. But we don't concern ourselves with that. We concern ourselves with following Christ.

Good video, Danny. I agree with your understanding of 2nd Peter 3:9, and I think you explained it well. The context is important there, and we can't just decide it's saying something it isn't. In the Open Theist view, God only knows the future as possibilities. For instance, God would have known that the Holocaust was a possibility, but didn't know with certainty that it was going to happen. Did He step in to prevent the murder of millions of people? Even in the Open Theist view, He allowed it. How is that any different than God making it part of His plan for this world from the beginning? It's part of His will, either way, and the Open Theist does not escape from the matter. We may not understand all that God does--as Scripture promises that we don't--but we _can_ trust that He is good.
Yep. I grow tired of the relentless accusations by folks calling the "Calvinist god" evil. But when examined carefully, their position doesn't make Him less evil. All it does it make Him small and not in control. They remove all purpose from the evil that occurs. Our pain and trouble takes on a chaotic meaningless quality.
@@dannymcmullan9375 I went and watched Tack Room's two most recent videos (Election or Free Will & Not the Author of Confusion). He made several claims about Scripture that reveal his underlying presuppositions. As I listened to him, I found myself asking more than once, "Where did that idea come from?" When I interact with similar folks, I try to let them know that Calvinism is only a secondary doctrine, that we need not treat each other as adversaries. This is usually not appreciated, unfortunately.
@@reformedpilgrim Yes I thought the same thing. He states that Calvinism is a damnable heresy. I guess he believes that folks that hold to reformed theology are going to hell? That's why I asked him about the kjv translators. From what he is saying, the translators who translated the Bible he uses are damned. As are the puritans that came to America and several large denominations.

But if Calvinism is a damnable heresy, then Christianity virtually vanished from the Western Europe for many years, which I don't think is the case.
I was pretty shocked at his feelings toward calvinists. It’s interesting he’s “agree to disagree “ on most things but then hostile to Calvinists. He was literally the third person in about a 36 hour window I had heard essentially say Calvinists aren’t really saved. Between that and his views about attending church, I’m not inclined to hear him anymore, at least for a time.
Romans 2:11. It's talking about how sin is sin. Whether Jew or Gentile. There is no partiality between Jew and Gentile. He is not talking about whether or not He has prepared some for mercy or some for wrath. That discussion doesn't start til chapter 8. Two different categories.

Calvinism is not of GOD, atleast not to my knowledge. John Calvin was probably a Freemason, so be careful following the words of him. The Bible doesn't preach Calvinism. There's even more verses that preach everyone is called to be saved.
I've never read John Calvin. Don't care to. I read the Bible. I find it teaches that God is sovereign in salvation. That He has called a particular people for Himself. That the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are one in the salvation of His people. That Jesus Christ bore the sins of many, not all. That we are saved not by our will, but by His mercy. Please quote the verses that preach everyone is called to be saved.

You know Dwayne did say this that the devil is the father Of confusion, and that God is not the father of confusion and whenever I hear everybody no, it’s this way. No it’s that way at the end of the day. Why don’t we fear God enough to know what his word says. believe in Jesus put your faith in him follow the 10 Commandments. Love God love your neighbor it’s that simple. Why argue on the fact of, God might have pre picked us or not at the end of the day we will never know until we die, so why don’t we do everything that we can to make sure that what God says will get you in heaven just do that and stop arguing over whether he chooses you or not just do what he says if you do what he says if he just be a good person love God and love the law of God and follow the law of God then you’re going to be saved. I agree. And that's why I don't make videos attacking the other side of this discussion. I have made videos stating what I believe and why but I don't like going after others. I made this video not to go after anyone or their beliefs. It was to correct a mis use of 2 Peter 3:9 and because someone else had called what I believe, "damnable heresy". Which I believe means he thinks I'm going to hell for believing it. My point was to explain that what he calls damnable heresy is talked about in Scripture. That millions of God fearing men and women through the ages have believed it and I believe it's what the Bible says. So while I will not make videos saying that the doctrine he holds is damnable heresy, he had no issue with doing so to others and was completely unable or unwilling to defend his claim nor will he allow anyone to defend themselves from his claim on his channel. If he didn't want to respond to me that's fine but to make false accusations in order to dismiss what I'm saying is not okay. In any case, I'm not going to proceed further. And HE can do what he wants to do. HE has created vessels for eternal destruction and some vessels for eternal Glory. You said that you do not agree that God wants all to be saved. That is a direct contradiction to Christian faith.
