Thanks for this, I have been making this similar but not the same. I omit the ice cubes. It's just my preference. Also, I prefer fresh mango when available (tastes so much better) but the puree tins are convenient of course. I add some vanilla sugar. Last but not least, I also add ... cardamon powder. Just a teaspoon. Makes it perfect.
Thank you for the no sugar version! Users can add a couple TBS BROWN sugar to get additional sugar while at the same time using a healthier version instead of WHITE sugar
I made this with the same ratios and it turned out to be soo good. Although I used fresh mango pulp and also added some crushed pistashio, cardamom and mint. It really elevated the flavour and freshness.
Nice one. Brings back memories, must of mades many 100's just like this, working in a lahori restaurant many years ago. We would add alot of sugar though.
Hi Tom, thanks for your comment! I can't remember how many times I've ordered this when we used to visit restaurants! It is definitely a firm favourite.. and so easy to make! I do find it's alot thicker and yes very sweet, too sweet if I'm honest.. but lovely! I bet the memories are nice but the heat of the kitchen not! Lol
I made this 2 days ago. Absolutely amazing. It tasted just as it would do in a restaurant. My family loved it. I'm just being cheeky now, but can you do a desi kadak chai or masala chai and a desi milky coffee apna style in a pan? That would impress the auntyji's. I can do alot of things but always burn the pans when trying to make the tea/coffee. You are fantastic. Keep those recipes coming x
On it Celina! Thanks for the recommendations. I do have a madala chai recipe which I'll link below for you! 😊 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_puO4dYrqI4.html
This looks so yum..I just got the mango purée to make it, however the amount of purée is too much and I couldn't find any smaller tins. So I was wondering for how long can I keep it in fridge once open..thank you ❤
So made this was absolutely amazing I added a little sugar was honestly so good, kids didn’t like it made same thing but Nutella instead of mango kids new favourite thing it’s our new Sunday afternoon ritual lassi and movie thank you
As an American I'm loving your accent and scratching my head about where it's from....maybe being across the pond I'm totally wrong, but are you Welsh?
My pleasure 😊 I hope you try it - Don't forget to Subscribe and turn your bell notifications on to be notified of my new videos, and look through my older videos as well.
how did I manage without you, recipes are soo good everything turns out well i have used so many I have lost count , where is the book I want one thank you
Francis, I personally find the mango pulp is sweet already so therefore does not require further sweetening in this recipe but many Indian restaurants add sugar to this recipe to make it more sweetener like commercially sold versions in supermarkets.
