Was just thinking the same thing only I was going to ask what he used to make it rapid age like that or What he used to coat it to make it looked “aged”
@@timpickens4497 I'm betting that's why so much of the rust appeared liquid. Basically the coating/rapid aging process made the rust float on the penetrating liquid used to create the pitting and rusting. He then didn't take the time to evaporate the liquid fully, hence the floating 'liquid rust' that a bunch of other people mentioned.
I have seen a lot of stuff in my days, but never have l seen liquid rust. I could have made a comment about how comically tragic was the intro with the knife being found in the woods, but the rest of the restoration was even more comically tragic than the intro, so...
This is the first one of his restoration videos I've been suspicious about. I've heard of a lot of channels artificially rusting things to restore them and this is the VERY first time I've had any suspicious of that practice on this channel.
@@fluffyashes I have been watching restoration videos for years. I have restored a few stuff on my own. Even if it hadn't been a fake, the process of the restoration is so full of flaws it would have sucked anyway.
I'm an amateur at best, but I enjoy the relaxing nature of this video genre. That said, seeing that wet rust made me roll my eyes. It's very upsetting and I wish this trend of faking restorations would just come to an end.
I love how he is just strolling through the jungle, finds a knife in a stump, and by the way has a restoration channel that he can make a video with it.
End result is... ok. But it is obviously faked and not antique. Rust doesn't look like that, and certainly doesn't scrub off like that. Also, randomly finding a knife without any signs of a handle randomly in the forest right after starting to record? Extremely unlikely.
А чё, вполне такой себе ножик получился. И хвостовик заварил и рукоять сделал, правда весьма сомнительного удобства. Но старался. Молодец! Творческих успехов.
Where did all that electrolysis junk come from? 😂 The blade was spotless when it went in, then next minute it looks like you dropped your birthday cake into the water 😆
Fantastic restoration on this old rusty Hunting knife. The handle came out amazing. All together it looks really really awesome. I enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your next one. Stay safe my friend
You would get a lot more respect by simply saying you bought a slightly rusted knife at a flea market/yard sale and restored it. When your LIES are blatant in the first seconds of the video, people will not like, share, or subscribe to your channel.
You know... Its not a hate thing, its a trust thing. This fellow has skills and understanding. Find some more legitimate projects and put his skills to better use. Some of the things in these videos just dont add up as legit especially when you have worked with metal a long time.
Dude, you do know that you can make handles out of more than just wood, you can use horn, metal, rubber, plastic, apoxy resin, be creative, stop going for the chunk of wood. I've watched so many of your videos, you keep doing the same thing over and over again with the handles, people are gonna start getting bored.
