Wouldn't buying a new body shell from OEM and installing existing interiors + wiring into it be a much better repair option for such a mangled car? A new shell is much sturdier than two half shells cut and welded together.
Different country. In America these go to the scrap yard. China and other Asian countries have less restrictions. Plus the prices for parts and labor are totally different.
i mean odi bakchis did this kind of repair to his crashed s14(rear s14 and front s15) and in fact his s14/15 drift missile is performing better and whats more important is that he is still alive n doin well

Sorry but this car is a death trap. Wouldn’t have been so bad if you had staggered the joints at the factory seams. You had the whole back end of the car could have been done easily. Instead massive gaps trying to fill will the welding wire and an additional filler wire.🤦🏻♂️
Usually I side with the tradesman , but in this case it seems they were lost and fumbled there way through the repair. I saw very little overlap or reinforced backing plates, just butwelding. Yes this one is an accident too happen
Should be declared as total loss. Nice n beautiful work, but safety wise I doubt its ok. Surely illegal in my country, yet people here been doin it in their backyard! And btw, I would never ever uses a grinder that way though... Way too scary...
If the welding eyes protector is making them uncomfortable then maybe they can try a ocean goggles ( the smaller ones the one that only fit them into the eyes 👀 not the big goggles 🥽 because it will gives them sweet and foggy really fast).

In Australia cut and shuts are illegal. Your joins arent even staggered correctly. If I did it how you did it the vehicle would be scrapped and I would lose my job. That being said its still impressive. Also wear hearing protection. You'll thank me later

Mai effettuare una linea di giunzione netta alla stessa quota, con riempimento degli spazi aperti con annesso filo di ferro! Sotto stress, durante l'utilizzo o peggio ancora in una nuova collisione, si aprirà in due!
What happened to the internal reinforcements they did not weld them only on the outside that work is useless it is a crappy tool shame they do not know how to fix a car only in appearance

Por que não usam EPI? E as soldas são feitas sem ligar as chapas, sem tirar massas e tintas.a solda desse jeito fica contaminada. Não gostei da quantidade do serviço.
Certain joint ,may be we disagree with it ..but ..since the car is damaged in the accident .. It is still Help to the owner to bring the car back function on the road ,compare to make it total lost ,when the structure & the engine of the car is still in good condition .. Especially when the car is still paying the loan installment ..
Oh oh oh Steve, normaly I like your Videos a lot. But this repair is a absolutely no go in Europe. Also the workers do absolutey no safety. Grinding without safety Glases, Welding without shield, no gloves, no work clothes or security shoes. Also the Seatlbelts not tight with a torque wrench, a absolut security Part. Hmmmmmm

I guess for people that have never seen a collision repair this would be interesting to see the process. But the lack of safety procedures and PPE is alarming. There are very specific manufacturers requirements for sectioning of structural components and sheet metal. This is just an attack and hack demonstration on how to tear apart a car that never should have been repaired. Engineers spend untold hours designing and then crash testing vehicles to maximize occupant safety and improve the ability to survive major accidents. Then these guys come along and throw all that into the trash can and "rebuild" the car in the worst way possible. Someone is going to die if this car gets hit hard again.
I would like them to take safety at work more into account, that of cutting with a radial and without protective glasses and without gloves seems to me to be a mistake for beginners, since they should also wear a mask when they are welding and not safety boots with tennis. Using an angle grinder with no eye protection at all. Welding with no eye protection. To turn away or squint will have your worker as good as he is at fix vehicles. With many health problems. In our homeland we have to first weld up the main supports of the the body use weld through copper primer . Take pictures then off to the next step you could never get a job like this passed in our country. Show bills to prove the parts are not stolen. That is very bad job to put your employees at health risk and and anyone driving around that in the future

Отсверливать панели изнутри, проваривать все, и ставить панели обратно по заводским точкам. А в данном видео отвратительная сварка. Это как минимум небезопасно. И очень плохо сделано. В России это называется автохлам. Рекомендую посмотреть канал "гараж Каховка", там вы увидите мастера своего дела, и как нужно выполнять такие работы.
