She did mention it PB and what was funny was when her Bae said” she is walking around with it to prevent someone else taking, but we are the only customers here right now😊. Love how informative but funny their videos are.
@@missmichelex If you’re still looking for those chains they are on sale right now on the pottery barn website. I actually have them in my shopping cart. They are on sale for $38.99. The only color left is more a mid tone brown but not much darker than the ones she has.
You are so adorable and you are inspiring! Do get discouraged EVER you are in the right space. I’m not a young’n I’m 50 but I think your style speaks to anyone! Happy Success to you and keep em coming!
Totally appreciate this video only thing I would disagree with is you had mentioned you were RH ‘s number one fan, my friends call me Mr. diva for a reason. LOL I have several items in my home from RH as well , their quality is exceptional. People fear that their prices are expensive however quality cost money . However when we settle for less at the local box stores you get in that circle of disposable buying . Sometimes you have to budget a little bit then being stuck in the fast fix wave of thing’s. Buy higher end and you will have it for years to come as you had mentioned . Again great video , I appreciate you.
Kiva - You are absolutely knocking it out of the park with every video. I love your channel and cannot get enough of your tips. I want that mirror, but my ceilings are only 10 feet tall. What do you think about the 78 inch version? Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion.
Is the “outside clothes” a black thing or nah? My parents/grandparents aunties/uncles used to say that all the time and I say it too now...outside clothes/shoes don’t go on the bed, carpet or anything where germs can get. 🤣🤣
😂😂😂 I would say yes, but my wife is white and she won’t even let you look at her pillow without clean clothes and a clean face. We own like 20 pairs of sheets and 100 pillow cases 😂. I feel like everyone should do the same thing as you and me, Torre, lol!
Nope - i am white and feel same way as you - outside germs stay outside. Boyfriend (who is black) disagrees strongly with me on this issue. We fight when I catch him sitting on bed with outside clothes (and other such type of transgressions). Covid has worked in my favour and strengthened my argument in my germ theory.
Yes Kiva! This was such a informative non-partisan analysis of products you have actually used and lived with. Great job!! And I must say I was pushing my family into looking at the Graydon (shagreen) media consoles. Now learning from you I will for sure go towards another collection! Thank you
Great video as usual, Kiva. I rarely see this, so I had to bring it up. RH'S BATH TOWELS/WASHCLOTHS have been and continue to be AMAZING, imo. If you love thick, thirsty towels that last for years, look like new, & stay plush, they are SO worth it.
I totally agree with you about their linens. I just gifted two huge dusty rose bath sheets and matching bath rug to my cousin. She stayed with me one weekend and used one and of course loved it. At over 20 years old, they are thick, cozy and absorbant. I only ever used them for guests so now they have a home!
Great reviews Kiva! Totally see your point w the coffee table! I have the French contemporary 100” tv stand and I absolutely love it. I love the quality and the finish! Worth the investment. But I just bought a dining table top at the outlet! 108” (didn’t come w the legs but it was grey oak and a super low price - we are getting metal legs for it. The top is so beautiful ).
Kiva, I need to buy a new sofa. I want a white one. My "design style" is Danish modern (I'm trying to get this environment, anyway.) Is there a sofa you could recommend that is NOT expensive like RH? I just don't have that kind of money. Also, there is no IKEA near me. The closest one is 2.5 hours away, over a mountain range. Thank you.
I so want the cloud bed but I don't have the finances. I love all of your videos. Going to the rh outlet tomorrow for the first time. I am looking forward to it
Glad I ran into your channel. I was wondering if you could tell me where you get olive branches like the ones you have in the background. They look like they are of very good quality.
I had no idea what restoration hardware was lol..I live in a cave..lol.but it was hitting my recommends alot so I was like let me check it out even though vintage with touches of modern is my decor style. The prices are crazy 😧 but the pieces are super cute. Alot of them can be duped..example you can find mirrors with elaborate frames at the thirft, second hand, or antique stores for 5.00 to 300.00 and just spray paint it and add black rub. I will use their site for inspiration cause you can blend their styles with any decor. But since my must have vintage pieces take all my money I can't shop there.
Hi KB. I can count on you for all the dupes and where to find item. Do you know where I can find the RH faux prop books that they stage in all their bookshelves? I’ve asked them several times and they just say “Our Vendor”
Great video. I have the Thaddeaus Console table which is amazing. I also have their wool shag rug which is absolutely divine. I’ve been thinking about vessels so thanks for the tip and also also plan on one of the gilted mirror so glad you’ve rated it well!
Great video! Gotta ask about the mirror or painting behind you, please! And, as far as RH, I like to copy some of there design ideas 🤪 I am a big DIYer👍🏼
Hi Keva! Love the content 🥰. Have you seen the RH king lounger pillows on any of your trips to the store? They are ginormous! Just like everything else in the store lol. Do you think those are worth the 💰🤔
There is a French Restaurant in Seattle named Loulay. I think their pendant lights are custom RH and the mirror they have is gorgeous, creates a perfect focal point, and reminds me of yours. Google and look through their yelp photos etc.
I just ordered the large black vessel you showed, from RH, just a few days ago. I’m very excited! Went into the store, too.🤣 We have the Saint James bedroom set and the Printmaker’s Office furniture. We love both sets and would purchase again in a second. We were going to get the Printmaker’s sideboard or media console, but unfortunately, it’s no longer available. Devastation.🤣 Great video!
We have the St. James bedroom set too. I think this collection is one of the best solid pieces they offer. We love it and although the price was expensive, it was still priced fairly compare to Arhaus, Ethan Allen and others...and they did not offer solid oak wood and mortise joinery. Do you have any dining tables from them? Looking at Cayden and Russian Oak.
Someone who knows leather can change the color of that leather and blend in the "crayon" marks as well, and restore it enough that you do not have to be fragile with the table. Good leather is rarely that fragile.
Here’s the real secret, you can get furniture/decor from an interior designer that’s better quality and more affordable than RH. For example, their cloud sofa is made by another company that sells directly to the trade (i.e. designers and furniture dealers). There’s literally nothing that RH sells that I’m not able to find as a designer from a vendor that I have. RH really is mainly just good marketing. It’s not even considered high end in the design community.
Thank you!! Omg these are the ones I left out! I’ll do another video on those but for now, I’d only buy the nightstands from the outlet and if you do get a media stand, get a closed one! Mine has held up pretty well!
Love your videos KB. You are wrong about one thing though, I am RH’s #1 fan 😝. In all honesty though, you are right about their Shagreen, it’s gorgeous but it’s always in the outlet and really badly damaged
We bought the Zinc bed and side tables from RH. It's gorgeous but it should have come with a warning: Danger Will Robinson...this bed is out to get you. The corners on the footboard are super sharp, so sharp in fact, if you dare do battle with the corner (aka cut the corner too sharp coming back to bed at night or just distracted) you will leave the battle with a deep gouge taken from your leg. I can't tell you how many times I've lost the battle with the bed and come away with at best, a green bruise and a superficial cut and at worst, scars. The other downside is that the coating has come off the headboard where our hair rubs up against it. The headboard is a big solid rectangle of zinc-coated metal so it looks really obvious that the coating has been removed. For the price, it's a huge disappointment. We're moving in two weeks and it won't fit in our new bedroom space because it will block the windows. That means our guests get to deal with the bed. Should we do a farmhouse-style sign warning our guests of the deadly mistake of taking on the bed?
Just purchased the Spanish vessel medium size. Initially did not want to spend the money, but got tired a constantly checking other stores for dupes. You will never find something like this at home goods.
A fan of you and RH FOREVER! Speaking of you... so, what did you do with the DIY RH coffee table you made? Need me to take that off your hands? Name the price. Asking for a friend. 🖤
Kiva please complain to RH ASAP. That's too much money to be so dissatisfied. It may be late to get a refund, but if you get a merchandise credit, you could use that to purchase something that is more to your satisfaction. Expensive luxury items should add to your happiness or you would source for a table at IKEA or Bob's.
RH is so ridiculously overpriced... My sister bought so much stuff from there and paid so much money before doing research. Come to find out there’s a bunch of complaints about their quality. And of course everything they sell is from China.
Only if the 25% savings on your item (s) is more than the hundred dollars. If purchasing big items then for sure. I will not renew and will purchase again if I purchase something.
I like your advice but wish you wouldn't recommend RH. Their furniture is made in China. As a matter of fact, most things can be found on Chinese tradesites like Alibaba. They mark up the price astromically thanks in part to fancy marketing. You'd get better quality (solid wood, dovetail joints, etc) by shopping vintage. Higher prices do NOT equal higher quality.
I don’t like the idea of buying from RH either but really never find anything that looks as good. I get that the pieces aren’t high quality, but would love to find an alternative place to shop that offers the same aesthetic.
I enjoy your videos ... but I can't help but ask "why are you continuing to buy from a very expensive company that repeatedly produces products that are flawed, fragile, and inferior?"
Good job as always the links in the bowl did you say you got them at Pottery Barn I didn’t see them on the website have a great weekend. I’m sure it’s just me but most of the time on Instagram there no sound Hi to babe and wiener
