love it, nice piece of oldschool tech. i wanna add, after one close encounter i became very careful when fiddling with anything that contains a spring. safety goggles are a must for me now.
oh yeah i think some of them had that, like a bushing or something. i looked online at other models of this stem, but yeah they dont have the bushing either. musta been girvin or something
Love vids like this, and am loving your content. I'm new to actually workign on my bikes, so your vids have been a huge help in me learning how to actually do shit if you're ever in QLD I will happily shout you dinner and a few beers.
Nice new vid! 😊 what brand is that stem & what year it was released? btw, i used to have a suspension stem (Tranz-X brand) way back when i was young, i put it in my fullsuspension bike way back in year 1999 i think.... Hahahaha... Suspension stem on fullsuspensiin bike... 😅😅😅 I have no idea on bikes back then...😂
cheers my dude! its soft ride brand but not sure when it was released, i think probably mid 90s maybe when they were experimenting with suspension. hahahah that sounds like a fun bike!
@@garysprojects wow, nice. This was more vintage stem! 😊👍 Yup, fun bike back then... Until someone said to me that suspension stems are made for rigid mtb not for fullsuspension bikes... 🤣
