Fantastic restoration on this rusty old Skinning Knife. The blade is so very shiny and the handle came out amazing. Put them all together and you have a perfect knife. You have the perfect eye for details. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to your next one. Be safe my friend and stay healthy
3-литровая банка, это по-нашему. Но лимонная кислота это нет. Надо было в капустном или огуречном рассоле :) это было бы точно от души. Нож маршала Жукова в бытность в юности скорняком.
Next time use a chisel and not a Dremel to carve the metal part in the handle. It always ends with a better tight finish and making the borders less evident. For me was always a HUGE difference. I know there are people with extremely accurate skills using a Dremel, but the surface to cover in resin must be as flat as possible.
few pointers, take the time to get all scratches out, its such a shame you stop at 95% of that, also the inlay is much much easier when done if you have the outline drawn but still have a flat surface. And as mentioned, chisel or cut the slot out, instead of dremel, or at least finish the sides with a chisel to get a much tighter fit. good effort though.
