There's no way he could've got it working again, not even with the spares he ordered. Those FPC's and connectors would've given a lot of grief. And the electrolytic cap for the flash? Spray painting the case would cover up all the stenciling. I think it's more likely another cam with less extensive damage was fixed with those spares and passed off as such. But the effort look convincing though especially if you have no idea how much could go wrong with a camera. I like the "sand blasting" method demonstrated at 10:05
