Restored Classic: 1972 Fender Rhodes Buz Watson Stage Piano

Its amazing , so balanced . The great news for me just happened yesterday , I found a Rhodes that Buz Watson put together or Set up and put his magic on it . Cant wait to play it .

I had a 72' Stage 73 just like this that was a Buz Watson piano. It really was a great sounding instrument and I used it on a record I was working on at the time. I sold the piano to find another purchase, and the guy I sold it to unfortunately died a few years after I sold it to him and I'm not sure where the piano ended up, but someone out there has it, and has a really cool sounding piano. If you ever have the chance to grab one of these up, definitely do it!

It was delivered 2 days ago . And it needs work . Lots of work . Couple notes here and there . what is cool though , the basic tone is great , it has a 'mellow' bark , probably due to worn hammer tips ? Gonna order your Refurbish Kit . or maybe a small vacation road trip to VV ! Anyways love your work Fred and very nice playing on this classic piano and song

If I were a keyboardist, my equipment would be: a Fender Rhodes, a Hammond, a Mellotron and an ARP Prosoloist.

I have one of these 1972 Buzz Watson pianos although it needs a restoration. (I also have a 1975 stage that has been fully restored)What amp are you using?
