In these bonkers times when drama never seems to end, what a cracking video of a gang of people pulling together for no other reason than to help someone out Absolutely first class 👍
Watched so many sleeper pond builds in readiness to build my own, but none have brought a tear to my eye like you have, full respect to you mate and all involved 👍
What a great video - thank you for taking time to film and share this! It is not something that is seen too often (if ever) - the tear down/rebuild of an aged pond - wish i would have seen it before i built mine. Y'all have a heart of gold, hope all of your backs are doing well, and best wishes for Kathy and Big John. I know the fish are high-finning it!! (i think 'cracking job' is going to be my new buzz word here in western North Carolina!- love it!!!!!)
It's comments like this that make it worth it and sets you up for a good day I'll pass this to the lads and John's family. Thank you it's much appreciated and I'm sure you've done a cracking job on your pond 😊
Just seen this.what a great bunch of people.respect to you all.i'm in the middle of building a new pond for my fish, but sadly today I have lost 4 of my oldest and biggest fish.not sure why but very sad that they will not get to swim in there new bigger pond.good luck to you all in the future.
Sorry to hear about your loss it's not nice loosing fish as it always seems to be the biggest and best ones. Hopefully the rest will enjoy there new pond and so do you. Thanks for your kind words and all the best with your new pond 👍
I wish somebody would help me like these guys helped. I’ve been in my house 4 years and not one person has knocked on my door to welcome me or offer help while I was going through chemo. This gives me faith in humanity just not where I live.
Sorry to hear that Sarah. Unfortunately we now live in a world we're everyone looks out for them self's. It's not like the old days we're everyone used to look out for each other you could leave your doors unlocked and not worry it's a shame really people need help but are scared to ask.
Great job on that fish pond, John the dad must be so pleased with the outcome. I wondered what was happening with that fish with its mouth so far outside the water after they were put in, I am curious if that’s the one that died.how come you guys did not place back the bog, is the bog just plants? I love the pond , the fish are lovely and look happy in it. Great job guys I enjoyed this video!
Hi thanks for the coment John is made up with the pond always sat by it. I think the fish your on about is the sturgeon it was just looking for food it's always like that he still has that fish 👍 we removed the bog for John to make the pond easier for him to maintain
great work lads really great work for a novice build one thing cover the exsposed liner it will suffer sun frost and last a coupe of years covered it will last twenty at least and looks better to see no liner but great work i hope he loves the new pond and it last another 40 yrs
Hi only just seen your film cos i'm looking to rebuild mine a as a sleeper pond. mine won't just have the same meaning as what you guys have taken on, what a fantastic gesture for Big John hopefully this adds to his recovery rate!! WELL DONE & Best regardsb to ALL Mick F North Yorks
Did you do anything with the back wall before you lined it? I think I’d have boarded it and backfilled it with something to make it flush. Did the liner not just balloon out in to the void under the weight of water?
Please tell me you used aquasafe or similar before putting those poor fish in?! Yes you added the old pond water later which will help but it looked like you initially put them straight into tap water which will burn their gills.
Not our year this year mate unfortunately 😞 spoke to a few ppl and they think it's the male I used 1st time donator but the way I went about it was spot on
