Thanks for watching. Be sure to see part 4 where we reveal the finished Jeep. As for overspray we minimized it by not spraying to far away. The texture is rougher but we wanted that on the Jeep so went with it. I believe that if you spray back about 2 feet the texture will be finer and overspray will be greater. Overall we are very happy with how it turned out and would do it again.
that job been a bit rough fellers, the gun should been way back 500 mm, luckely it's rough paint, i like that too, as spray painters take from people arm and the leg, especially classic old school, i'm doing mine too a holden hx hz 1977/78, same colour, BUT i'l give it a GLOSSY coat too, they like it or not, thanks guys
It looks awesome, but personally I would have stayed with the orange. There is a Jeep TJ on RU-vid that was done in Orange and Black and that really turned out great. The RU-vid video is called (Custom build Jeep Wrangler TJ 2005) I have a 2000 Sahara just Raptor lined it in Black the original color. But I used the Raptor liner Professional adjustable gun. Spent an extra $85 for it. But it was worth the investment. It gave me a finer raptor coat easier to clean and the spray pattern is incredible. I would recommend it to anyone considering Raptor lining their Jeep. I think you were just a little to close on spraying your liner on. If you would have been about an arm lenght away you probably would have gotten a better result. All in all the result you got is great👍.
@@stevesgarage6574 You did a great job. I weit for your next video. I am restoring my jeep wrangler 97 project and I have the same idea, thanks for the information.
Thanks we had fun building this. It was just one coat. The kit comes with 4 bottles of tintable Raptor Liner. That is just enough for one coat. You only need one coat for full coverage. Next time I may use thinner and spray two light coats. It is all a personal preference really. Overall we are happy with the end result. The spray gun is sold with the kit separately. We sprayed at 50 psi. Hope that helps. Wait until you see our new video coming out soon. It really comes together.
The Jeep was Impact Orange. Paint Code PV-5. They only had this paint code for the 05-06 model years. According to Jeep, it was one of the rarest colors.

Would make a great video. Fighting to spray Bedliner through a HVLP gun. Lol. Lots of cursing I’m sure. Lol. Good one. Raptor liner spray in bedliner comes with the gun we used. Thanks for watching.
