It is good to see an old Atari STF given a second life time. They were nice looking machines for their time and still look nice after a good clean up. Thanks for your video.

Polarized Capacitors electrolytes are chemical and need replaced after that long. They can create timing issues among other things. Also should check power supply using a scope. Capacitors will usually solve most issues.

I once broke a C64 in half ... swapping the caps fixed it.

I don't agree with retrobleach. He's given a permanent marble finish to the plastics just to go at the yellow which will come back. I will leave all my ST as is .

That stuff around the IC in the disk drive is just flux used in production for SMD-soldering. It's absolutely harmless to electronic devices.; that's why they rarely clean this off after soldering.

Nice video. Please I can't get my 1040 at to work on a flat screen . Have all the right things it says no signal on the flat screen but signal partially works on an Atari monitor.plese help me fix it.

Retrobrighting Ataris is hit and miss. Some look blotchy and awful after doing it. Also, cover the logo with tape, the sticker can disintegrate otherwise.
