The roof bucket holder is ingenious!!! As always- another job well done 👍. Enjoyed the background music too ! Can’t wait to see what color the barn will be ❤️
We just watched this entire episode on the big TV, but we can't hit the 'like' button, so I am watching it again!! I was SO impressed right from the start with that CLEVER as Pete little box to put on your roof line!! My goodness, you are just so smart! I would never have thought of that in a million years! And, oh my yoodness, your roof looks absolutely clean and new. Just in time for snow storms and incoming rain.
I watch on our TV through Roku. They just changed the way of hitting the "like". If you have 3 dots on top of each other (it will say "more" once you highlight it), click that and go over to the thumbs up and click it. I hope this helps you and others.
I watched mostly exclusively on my TCL Roku TV more enjoyable and have learned to access everything but the comments which I don’t think is possible, don’t be afraid to click on everything you can because you always unclick it 🤙
I was thinking that too! I also think about how great it would be to have Doug and Ashley as neighbors. I live in Michigan and I often wonder how far away they are. My health keeps me from doing things sometimes. If I lived closed I would barter cooking and small tasks for help outside every now and then. I wish folks still did that.
I was imaging their neighbors driving by going to work or off to do other things, and seeing the beautiful changes going on. I’m sure they are amazed at the transformation. That roof restore is so awesome. I had no clue it even existed. Thank you so much for sharing. You guys are incredible!
Doug your a clever boy, I would have never come up with an idea like making something to put the paint can on. Every time I watch I'm impressed by something you have made. Hugs from Australia
I swear some of your clips need to be on an "Oddly Satisfying" video.. love the editing and music..watching your progress these last couple of years is Satisfying in itself 🥰 another great video
It looks great. Brought back 40-year old memories of my grandfather. Every few years he would repaint his shop, the clothesline poles, and the grandkids galvanized steel swing set that he built for us.....and anything else that needed it! Silver everywhere!!!
It's never fun to tackle such a roofing job, just like the house.... It's a chore. I'm impressed at your ability to plan ahead, to make it look easy....
DIYfferent just to add to this comment.....your vids are very imformative, it seems that your able to make complex issues very doable.....thank you....
You could have ended the video after the Paint Bucket platform and I could not be any more impressed amazed in awe than I was then. You are something special, sir 👍🏻
The drill makes all the difference. I like having my regular drills for basic work, but also have this heavy duty one for mixing things like mortar or roof coating, and drilling large holes. The small and cordless drills usually can't keep up with the demand of heavy mixing.
You both are work machines. I am so proud of both of you. Ashley, you do an amazing job juggling the house, the kids and the projects. I look forward to every video.
Fantastic accomplishment! After a rest, then come the sides. The old suddenly becomes new again! Your family is so lovely and awesome! God bless you all even more! ♥️
I'm glad you did it too, but I was worried about you. Good that you're ok. You're in such good shape, that you can still do that. It looks beautiful. I can hardly wait to see what you do with the rest of the barn. I voted for barn red.. hmmm. I know it's going to look great, no matter what. You always do a great job.
It looks so awesome! I love that it really does look like a brand new roof, that stuff is amazing for sure, you both are such troopers and work so hard in all you do, thanks so much for sharing this video and I am looking forward to seeing the barn painted it will for sure be a big change that will look amazing. Take care, stay safe, sending love and hugs, bye for now.
I admire how you worked on this one. The planning made it possible for one person to work far more effectively. The result does look a considerable improvement visually, I hope that it will add life to the large expanse of roof you have up there. I wince every time I see the two of you working hard on your roof. I know the results always look great, but I worry that they risk and accident. My accidents were not always from the most likely causes, an office floor caused one. Still, you dodged the problems and all was well. Great result, it almost looks ready to sell it and get the next great challenge, but you have too much time and work invested in your home for that.
It looks great! As a viewer I appreciate all the hard work you guys put in to filming everything you can. I know all the different camera angles and editing can't be the easiest when you are simultaneously trying to get these big projects done. You two are amazing people!!
DOUG YOUR THE ONE MAN ON RU-vid THAT DOESN'T KNOW THE WORD "QUIT". JUST A IDEA, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BARN HOW ABOUT PAINTING A BIG "DIYFFERENT", WOULD BE SUPER COOL!
That made a huge difference, looks like a new roof. You have great ideas Doug, that box to sit your paint tin on was a great idea. Ashley, no fear of heights, you have more nerve than me, I couldn’t stand on a roof, well done. Looking forward to watching the barn being done....and the reveal. Loved that soothing piano music while you were on the roof.
Looks AWESOME hope you dont have any rust issues later though by not applying a rust stabilizer first. But non the less came out AWESOME. Looking forward to see your color scheme for the sides and the rest of the improvements. God bless be safe. Jim
They say you can put it over rust so hopefully it holds up for a while. It has rust inhibitors in it. Treating the rust before hand would no doubt make it last longer though.
I do know painting is a lot of hard work, but u pushed on n it looks great! Your perseverance shows such great character n that is what we all should be striving for! Thx u for ur time, see ya n the next video!
You guys always make it look so effortless.... well, I have seen Doug take a few bonks on the head ,,, lolzzz sorry Doug) in the couple of years I've been watching, but everything always turns out looking so nice. Another achievement concord, on to the next. =)
Great work! Only you could take something as mundane as a platform and make art of it! Excellent craftsmanship and your place is looking amazing! Can't wait to see the final product!!!
Thanks for recommending 1806 Stone House. Like you and Ashley, Lucas and Sarah have a very loving family. I’ve been enjoying binge watching their channel. Your roof looks great!
Awesome video!! I love the time lapse video showing it fast, even though, I know it was slow and messy work. But now, it looks so darn good. Great job!!!
Hi guys...glad you got it done. The way you edit these videos, it makes it look so fast & easy, I know it's not...It looks great, like a new nickel...Take care...stay safe...
You take such pride in your families home. You think things through to help with the projects. Liked the platform for the paint. Can’t wait to see the color you chose. Hope it is the same blue as your doors.
You guys are amazing at how you are turning your land into a great looking home for your wonderful family! You are really a hard working family! Waiting for the next video to see what’s next! Just love watching all of you!
