@@Cortesevasiverecreating the angles and arches on the watch that were destroyed isn't artistic? That takes imagination, dexterity, precision, patience and endurance. Sounds like art to me.
The box restoration just blew my mind...not only that you did it for the customer (I've never seen that before) but also that you did it so beautifully! Kudos to you Sir, amazing work.
People don't know what their missing by not watching your videos. It gives you an escape from this drama filled world. God has blessed you with a gift, I am thankful you use it. Thanks
If everyone worked at the same level as you, the world would be closer to perfection. My favorite channel. As for the Star Wars saga, I'm a fanatic fan too. I would love to have one of these. Who doesn't? ❤👍
That movement is almost comically complicated but the result is magnificent. The case restorations always blow my mind the most. The way you take them from "Found this in a ditch" to basically new with exacting devotion to details is magical.
How to heap any more praise on this gifted man. The complication of the watch is mind boggling, the skill to restore it is amazing. To cap it all the guy is modest, has time for his family and makes great videos at the same time. This is the kind of content that stands head and shoulders over the dross that clogs RU-vid.
Reading the comments below I realize I'm not alone in thinking you're an artist as well as a watch restorer! So much talent, and knowledge went into this refurb, great result, the watch looks fabulous.
I want to thank you for all you do!!! You are one of the few voices of sanity and then sprinkled with your humor. And the voice of "Trouble" instantly makes me smile! You are a blessed man with a blessed family!!! Then there is the whole ASMR side of what you do. I find it very relaxing to watch you work your magic.
Unbelievable! One of the most incredible service, restoration, and editing accomplishments I’ve seen. You are hereby bestowed an 18 karat gold medal. Outstanding accomplishment!
Wow. Just wow. I see a lot of restoration people take watches that look sad and dirty and then just get them mechanically working but leave them decrepit looking and say they’ve given them a new life. *THIS* is a new life! I love seeing things restored to their original glory because they’re something we’ll never get to see again as they were unless someone like you does this. This thing is beautiful and it would be a shame for it to not get to be fully appreciated like it was new. I’m sure this comment will get lost in the sea of comments, but well done sir.
Exactly my thoughts when I watched this video. The restoration was incredible and witnessing these things fully restored is like traveling back in time. Simply incredible!
I'm a very mechanically oriented guy, yet this is truly incredible. The design, engineering, fabrication of the parts, and the ridiculous precision of those parts and perfect assembly and function, just amazes me everytime I view one of these.
That's super impressive your skills are magnificent even the restoration on the box was bloody amazing, this was better than watching a movie, when you started to take that watch apart and showed us just how many parts the was, Jesus it was like mission impossible, incredible 👏🏼
Nekkid is the most amazing confluence of technically mechanical wizardry and natural artistry on RU-vid (or anywhere else for that matter)...with spiritual and the purest human calmness thrown in for good measure. We owe him our never ending gratitude.
Thanks again Joe for inviting us into your amazing world. The level of work you consistently display is unequaled. What a gift you have. Bless you and your family!
Just finished watching this amazing video.having a mechanic father, and a mechanic brother, both disassembling and reconditioning car engines in the late 50s and 1960s,I do have appreciation of the dedications and experiences of folks like you.well done.
This was a phenomenal achievement! Your skill, your explanations and editing, and the content as presented was just outstanding! On top of that, your sense of humor and your obvious love and devotion to your family are very, very touching. I enjoyed this immensely. Thank you!
Jeffrey Collier’s comments x 10. Totally engaging throughout, edited to perfection. Now fully subscribed and forward to other projects. Your sponsors are lucky to have you. Thank you, bless you, don’t change you😊❤
So much for no Star Wars references and jokes. 😆😆 I must tell you, my friend, this was one of the most enjoyable restorations you have done so far. Your work is impeccable, utter perfection, and a joy to watch. Seeing you even restore the box was refreshing, seeing as most people would consider that a throwaway item, but you did it anyway. Thank you for always giving us your best. It's greatly appreciated. I can't wait to see your next project, and I'm sure it will be breathtaking. Stay safe, and we’ll see you on the next one-much love from South Texas.🥰🥰
Wow, how on earth can somebody engineer such a precise tiny object, and your restoration of it is simply masterful - to see it so beautiful again is satisfying.
That has to be the most complicated watch I've seen. I'm standing here beside myself with admiration for you and your skill as a watchmaker. Well done sir!! Your able bodied assistant Trouble deserves a lot of credit for keeping you awake.
I find it quite mind-blowing to consider the feat of engineering and design that goes in to making a watch, especially one of this caliber. Then to observe the skills of the watchmaker, servicing such a marvel of design. Sometimes, RU-vid gets it right in its recommendations. Thanks for sharing your work.
Sometimes, when I can't sleep, I watch one of your videos and it calms my mind and switches off the thousands of random thoughts enough for me to sleep. This is not to say that your work is boring. On the contrary, the steady, precise and fun way you approach your work, while dealing with the multitude of miniature parts, is so reassuring. Thank you very much
Absolutely Beautiful Restoration Brother! ❤🎉 As the heir of a Swiss watchmaker, I can say WE appreciate the care and love you put into giving these timepieces a second Life. Extending the heritage of timelessness a little further as you maybe the last professional to find parts and pieces to conduct such restoration with absolute integrity and respect. Thank You ❤🙏🏼
Kudos man! It was a joy to see the box, bacelet, case and movement restorations coming all together as one of the most incredible watch restorations I've seen :)
Sir, you are a true artist at your craft. But the thing I'm most impressed of is. The was you gave our Lord the glory. Thank you for the video. Great work. God bless you and yours.
I've watched a lot of your restoration videos, but this one is the creme- de- la-creme. It's the most complicated movement I think you have shown us. You have excelled yourself here, bravo, bravo!
My DAd went to watchmakers school in the mid 19404's after teh war and had his own jewelry shop for 20 years. I saw all of these tools and never saw him work on watches. Your artistry, skill, attention to detail, and careful restoration bring me closer to understanding what my Father loved about working with watches; thanks.
I’ve been a watch collector for 25 years and have recently started watchmaking. I’ve been watching all the servicing/restoration material I can find. This is the most impressive work I have encountered so far. Amazing my friend, you are AWESOME! Keep up the beautiful work and I’d be honored to buy you a beer.
I agree. I have been watching this channel from time to time and this project looks like it may have been the most complicated yet. Love the craftsmanship, love this channel.
Absolutely incredible resto my brother. I feel your joy and passion for restoring beautiful watches. I praise god for men like you… you are a rare breed
You sir, are an absolute surgeon....my word, you really do beautiful, tedious work. This world is a better place with you in it. You're ability to preserve well-functioning art is an absolute gift to us all sir. May you and your family be well, and thank you for your very much needed services.
Just happened on Joe's videos by chance and found them to be absolutely fascinating. You don't even have to know anything about watches. Brilliant Joe, you're a star and you have lovely family.
Oh my God! This is one restoration that takes the breath out of you! It’s a fantastic from start to finish! It really is over engineered for what it is! But the result you performs is excellent! Both box, bracelet and watch is a testament to your skill! Thank you again!
What an amazing restoration to follow. The case work is just next level. Without wanting to sound patronising, you should be so proud of that as a piece of work. Truly exceptional. Thank you for sharing. 👍🏻
Thank you so much for posting this. You remind me of my teenage years when I used to "repair" old watches. I was more of a bodger than a craftsman like you. Always a great pleasure to see a real craftsman dedicated to doing the job properly. Ten out of ten!
Fabulous restoration, your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me! You are defo a Jedi Master for sure and if the force is with me, maybe I’ll get to shake your hand one day and say thank you!
Joe, you really have excelled yourself this time, it's a magnificent restoration, it shows that Master Craftsmen are 'alive & kicking'. Many congratulations.
What an amazing transformation, you did an absolutely fantastic job again. And the editing was top notch. Thank you for bringing us along on this and stay well!
Another timepiece brought back from the dead. Such an amazing job. I felt so happy at the end of this video as if I was the one that restored it. Just to see the watch glow again, and come back to life is so rewarding. You must feel very proud of the job you've done. I think is the best restoration you've done on your channel. You went above and beyond. You set the bar really high my man. I have no words that would make justice for the work you did on this one. RESPECT!! 🙌🙌👏👏👏
I have never left a comment on youtube before and found your channel by a recommendation by them for this actual restoration, I was enthralled from the first moments and your true genius is astounding. this watch may be known as the Jedi but you have proved you are the "Jedi Master" Just Subscribed and now making time to watch your whole back catalogue, this truly is the very best restoration I have ever watched, thank you for your true passion shining through.
@@NekkidWatchmaker Do you also have a username called Nekkidwatchmaker1 ? If not, you have someone on here with that name trying to scam money out of people, pretending to be you
@@NekkidWatchmaker Yes I’ve noticed. They are scumbags and sadly they bring your name into ill-repute by their dodgy actions. It might be a good idea to warn your loyal viewers.
One of the best restorations I've ever seen! The only problem with this video is that, after showing how complicated the movement is, we didn't get to see the chronograph used in anger 😞
Amazing. On the job parenting while doing an astonishingly skillful job, with a stunningly over-the-top end product. Your talent should be more widely seen and known. Thank for sharing.
I don't know why your videos have suddenly been pushed to me, guess I watch too many diy videos. But out of all of the videos I watch, there's one thing that keeps coming up in my head. Where are all of the young ones? As an older guy, I fear we are losing true artists like yourself. The way you took something most would have thrown away and turned it into a ture gem, is nothing short of inspiring. The box sold me.
At first - I thought it was " beyond help " , but !?!?!? I stayed with it until the very - end ! Your work and attitude is absolutely soothing ! I simply love what you are able to accomplish ! The level of patience is AMAZING :)
Fantastic... one of your best videos yet. And yes, I know the video editing is AS punishing as the watch restoration. Thank you for going through the effort so the rest of us could enjoy!
Your sense of humor makes your video twice as enjoyable! Tis is my first one of your videos to ever watch and I will be back for more! I just finished the video and I must say that I find you to be an extraordinarily skilled watchmaker, I don't even understand how you remember where everything goes! Thanks for the fine work you do!
Well done sir! I have never seen this, that someone can disassemble and reassemble such a complicated watch so neatly and with great memory. I have a Siemaster Ocean 600 automatic, and I think it's all similar, so I sincerely admire you from the bottom of my heart, that you can remember all this, and put it together so neatly and conscientiously. I WOULD GIVE YOU THE TITLE OF ENGINEER AND CONGRATULATE PERSONALLY ON SUCH PATIENCE AND ESPECIALLY KNOWLEDGE! BRAVO - CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE WHOLE HEART!
Imagine getting that watch back in the post. Absolutely stunning restoration, I hope someone really appreciates it and enjoys it, hopefully hands it down through the family. It was a joy watching you restore it 👍🏻👍🏻
