The total time spent was only about an hour working to get these back in shape. Let me know if I could have done something different to make it easier or speed the process up
Pretty neat to see this process and the results. Manuals can be so touchy at times and it's nice to see options for breathing new life into them. Thanks for sharing and letting of some steam in the process.
Pat, kudos to you for having the patience to take on a project like that. hope the buyers appreciate the extra restoration time. As for the socks, just throw those out.
Haaaa, yeah those crispy socks can't be restored. Thanks Paul, total time was only about and hour working with them so I'm very pleased and yes hopefully the new owners as well
@@show-me-retro Thanks. I face a double whammy because the manuals are utterly bricked together collectively, as well as their pages being bricked individually. I assume if you steam a manual’s front and back, the steam penetrates into the middle of the manual, freeing the pages. So far I haven’t been able to get manuals off the brick to do that. The goal would only be to make the manuals functional; I realize they’ll never be “collectible.” Fortunately, none of the manuals is rare, but I’m sure there are $2500 worth ruined, maybe more.
