Learn how to set up the restricted mode in RU-vid app on Smart TV for filtering the inappropriate content recommendation on RU-vid. As a parental control setup, it's good to enable the restricted mode on your RU-vid app.
Once you've enabled the restricted mode for RU-vid content filtering, the recommendation will be mostly kids friendly and age-restricted video suggestions.

If you're Smart TV is powered by Google TV or Android TV, then it has the option to create a 'Restricted' profile with a PIN. Just allow the RU-vid Kids app on the Restricted profile. You can watch this video on how to set it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZFh1Vz2ZTYs.html

Restricted mode is on but RU-vid's idea of what is kid appropriate is not my idea of what kid appropriate is for my 6 year old. Videos like Huggy Wuggy still show up among others.

RU-vid is useless, they should have a feature to restrict adult/teens content from toddlers but there's no way around that, my 4 and 6-year-olds be watching anything, I first saw lil nas x call me by your name when by 4 year old had it on. It's so sick, these people know what they are doing that's why they don't wanna do anything about it.

Yes exactly this.. I don't get why they have such advanced tech but tr4assure g children's innocence is surely not in their agenda. Corrupting the mind of the small kids is what will destroy future generations..

Hi, I have had to lock youtube to stop my 5 and 6 year olds accessing as some programs states child appropriate but still find the person is swearing. Is there any further way to block this content?

It still doesn't block kids being exploited by their parents, which is what this mode needs to do. The other simpler option is for a pw for each app they try to login to.

What about blocking "Guest" access on youtube? Even with parental restrictions on their youtube accounts, children are viewing adult content under "Guest"

Sadly, there is no option to stop the 'Guest' access. If your TV allows you to set up an App restriction, you can consider blocking the RU-vid app itself. Enable RU-vid only when you (or any other parent) are around the kids.

I can't find any videos for what I'm looking for. I am not a parent but I am the eldest of my siblings. They are 5 and 6 while I am almost 18. My parents are old so I am trying to find out how to block certain videos they watch. if anybody has an answer let me know

same problem here, im 13 and my brother is 5. he watches on his switch, which is youtube tv mode. i set up a parental controls account for him yet he is still not able to use that account on his switch.

That do not work, my 5y still finds content with swearer , insanity and blood/gore. I hate how you can't put parent control on YT android tv. I even tried and login to his kids friendly YT acc, that works until he discovered "Guest account" that I can't hide or disable, and everything is accessible again, useless.

It can... the bad news is that u have to do it in every device that u logged in and I wanted to add a pin to it so that if they see it they won't be able to turn it off but I couldn't find a way to do what I wanted.

The thing is, on a smart TV you can add RU-vid kids BUT there is a guest option in which you can watch anything you want, not ideal for young kids!!

Consider blocking the RU-vid app on TV, and only allow them while you (or any other parent) are around. If you're Smart TV is powered by Google TV or Android TV, then it has the option to create a restricted profile with a PIN. Just allow the RU-vid Kids app on the Restricted profile. When you are playing the RU-vid video on TV. Pause the video, navigate to the Settings (Gear icon) to open the side pane, and choose the 'Report' option. It will be removed from your feed and reported to YT as inappropriate.

My niece is 8yrs old. But from 6 yrs old age onwards he always used to watch scary videos, roblox, my neighbor, etc. I did the same thing as shown in the video when he is not there at home. But he changed it by next day only 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ now my son also started to watch those scary videos n having nightmares. OMG... If possible try to block those kind of things in RU-vid or else block RU-vid for kids....

There is a separate 'RU-vid Kids' app that has only kids-friendly content. You should force your toddlers to use the same app and discourage them from using the RU-vid app. The app is available in the Google Play Store on TV.
