This nice radio has an incredible secret, you can listen VHF and UHF, including air band. Try this: first choose a OM frequency, for example 1225 KHz, press and hold REC (you must have a memory card inserted), when it start recording press FM / AM and MODE keys. That's all, now it tunes 122.50 MHz. It works by tuning SW as well, the frequency in KHz goes to VHF or UHF. Enjoy!
Nice review! Ordered one from Amazon the other day. Excited for it to arrive. Think I overpaid though. Oh well! Hopefully I will enjoy and not be disappointed.
It's time I embraced more of the modern side of technology and start to leave the old tech behind as much as I do love it.i always look forward to your videos every day.
Nice review. I bought this Tecsun portable Radio recently (PL680) and it’s pretty interesting, I can hear ham and Cb radio guys having discussions and stuff like that. I was also able to DX a Cuban numbers station. I’m here in the goofy neighboring state of Nebraska and I can get AM radio out of Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas! Only thing is this radio is $150 so it’s a bit more pricy than the Retekiss
Looks like a fun little device!!! I can see you taking this to the beach or the park in the summertime, and cranking it up just to get a reaction out of the other people there😂😂😂
Take a look at the HanRongDa K-603 with much improved sensitivity on SW with BT! The K-603 records MP3s at 320 vs. 128 on the Retekess V-115! I have bith radios! The K-603 has manual tuning as well! Sound quality is great on both radios!
Hey it's the same radio I bought a month ago! I was planning a drive in move night (by myself) and needed a portable radio. I found this one and I really liked it. Chargeable battery and an aux in doubles it as a speaker for my iPod. I like it!
My favorite...I have three in case they ever become unavailable. I plug it into my thrift shop Crosley suit case...sounds better than the built in speakers...and I can record the records at the same time.
Good review. Mine is expected to be delivered today. My Tecsun H-501 doesn't record to the SD. This little radio is probably cheaper than the device recorder they sell to externally record for their receivers.
Hi! I have bought it. Only one question. Can i use it without battery from a wall plug (usb charger+the included usb cable?) It don't want to damage it.
Hi What is the maximum MicroSD card size, and more importantly, what filesystem to use? I've tried 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB all formatted as FAT32. None work and it tells me unsupported filesystem when I try to record.
@@Recordology I would if I could figure out how too. There is nothing in the menu, and the documentation is worse than useless. I ordered some 2 Gig cards I'll format as Fat 16 and see if that works. I was wondering what size card you used, and how you formatted it ( device, PC, Mac, Old Cell phone ), and what filesystem you used. It seems to work good for you, whatever you did.
I managed to get a 32 gig card to work after formatting it on my Nintendo Switch. Not sure why it was erroring out on the cards formatted on my MacBook though.
Why are you lying about unboxing? From everything it can be seen that you have used it before (radio without protection in the box?? screen without protective film, etc. Why the unpacking show? Thumbs down!
Don’t buy this it is terrible it hardly will find a radio station the only thing that works good is the mp3 memory stick player it’s 20 bucks on Amazon unless you need a MP3 player don’t buy it.
