This really opens up my eyes, I play football for my high school and I'm already starting to feel some of the symptoms that these guys are feeling.

Ndudi Enwereuzor For the most part, I am, thanks for asking. I've had about 6 concussions and I've played football since I was 6, and my head hurts everyday and I have some memory loss, but thank God that that's the only thing that I'm feeling.

. Stop using your head and you don't get memory loss in high school unless you return to play without letting the concussion heal. Your fault

Football is easily the biggest sport in America! It's even bigger than the NBA and it generates billions of dollars BUT seeing the number of players who have died due to CTE is heartbreaking and the film Concussion perfectly depicts that! I'm not saying that kids should stop playing American football but they should think it over thoroughly before making a decision!

Yep, only now they're telling all of us to do the same thing in the face of a contagious virus pandemic. The patterns of denial are the same; first they ignore it, then they downplay it, then they tell you how "patriotic" it is to do it at the same time they're getting legal liability for themselves. "League Of Denial" writ large.

Concussion starring Will Smith, brilliant movie about American football and the dangers of the hits they receive during their careers. Eye opening and what they uncovered.

Man, getting an ad of NFL players doing fashion modelling, FOR GQ, before going into another episode of this is... jarring.

I played football for 10 years I'm 19 and I wish I had known about all of the effects of head trauma. I have hard time sleeping at night, headaches that seem to never go away fully and I also have a hard time communicating when meeting and trying to build relationships with new people. I don't feel like myself anymore and I'm only 19. I've played Just about every skilled position, even nosebacker but my main position was QB.

I wouldnt even bother with football. I rather play basketball. I just feel it isnt worth all the injuries. Lots of basketball players get injured but its way worse in the NFL.

The potential of hurting your body seems very common in ever sport, not only football.
@ejmac11
@ejmac11 9 лет назад
encamp100 Yes, but with football the potential injuries are much more serious than many other sports. Soccer, tennis, baseball players for example will not typically get concussions or spinal injuries. Boxing and football are probably the two absolute worst for your body.

hurting "brain"
@MarineAqua45
@MarineAqua45 8 лет назад
There's a big difference between hurting ones back & hurting ones brain repetitively, as this causes huge problems with memory loss & emotional symptoms like aggression, stupidness, etc.
@user-tl2cs6wv8b
@user-tl2cs6wv8b 7 лет назад
You're right, almost every sport can have injuries but it's been proven beyond doubt that American football is the most brutal/violent sport! More than 90 NFL players have died due to CTE!
@FoxxyBrown1111

ejmac: Soccer is the knee cap killer sport (and also head trauma)... The chronic pain and bone-fusion misery is at the same rate as in the NFL. Not much better. Only the impact seems not as stark. But chronic pain is chronic pain. Milder or stronger: It makes life miserable.

Polsen: Idiot. How does any of the 20 year youngsters know they will get chronic pain later in life? Please enlighten us. For sure everybody knows to get short term pain and injuries, but NO ONE at 20 expects side-effects lasting forever., unless they play Football and the very same time graduate A+ in neurology.

4:13. Welcome to America. The NFL is a financial district. So is this plot of land most people call America. How can we use this people to make money? And when they don't perform any longer, we discard them for new ones. And the process continues.
