What Happens when you pass away? Are all of your cherished belongings forgotten? Does your house sit waiting for you as it's rotting away? Abandoned last year in 2021 and sits unchanged from the time it was built in 1972. The home was lived in until march 31st, at least that's when the renting tenant's last day was according to their calendar. This raises the question of what happened to the owners of the home afterwards. Did they pass away? Did they just up and abandoned the home? Why are the utilities still one? All these questions with no real answer. The basement contains many items from furniture, clothes, fully set up rooms, and books, so many books. These belongings all sit rotting and forgotten as the home slowly floods. Scrappers have been here and broke a water pipe causing accelerated damage to the home and many items that were here months ago have been stolen.
While not everyone's home when the pass away ends up like this, it's sad to see anyone's belongings and memories left behind like this.

should turn off the well pump at the breaker panel and it would stop pumping the water. honestly would be beneficial for your safety to just flip the switch on the panel to turn the power off to the house.

This house is like the ultimate Barbie dream house. I love everything about it and would keep everything the same. Staircase., mirrors, lights, carpet and bathrooms. I would just fix the damage and get rid of that basement kitchen. I can just picture the house cleaned with 70’s furniture. I thank you, Noah !! Love the pool, too

As someone who works with the elderly, I'm a PTA, I can say that a lot of people get sent home from nursing homes who are not able to complete stairs. What may have happened is the previous tenant was elderly and was not able to go up stairs. The roof started leaking and they didnt know. They may have also been moved into a nursing home. I've had patients who havent been to their house in a year due to constant hospitalizations. They still have their electric on.

This! Or in cognitive decline (dementia) where they're sometimes there for years, family OOT keeps the power bill paid and doesn't go check on/into the property for in some cases years while hiring someone to mow the yard but not really full maintenance job... Too bad there wasn't an easy access point to shut the water off just simply as humanity/environmental...

Wow, without a doubt the most horrifying explore you’ve done. I was actually getting claustrophobic just watching. You always freak me out when you go into one of these places that still has electricity. Especially one like this where water is leaking everywhere. Don’t get electrocuted! Someone should have shut the water off at the main or shut the electricity off. Maybe some distant relative owns it and continues to pay the utilities? Also, weird to see a rotary phone that’s still in service. Pro-tip, when dialing a rotary phone first lift the receiver then dial. Great explore. Stay safe.

To use rotary phones you lift up the receiver then you dial the number. There should be a water meter in the yard close to the main road so you can shut of the water. If you can't find it or shut it off, call the water department to let them know.

Power on could indicate a few things. Either the owner is in long term care or has passed away and the house is in probate. Sometimes a family member is willed the home and keeps the utilities on until they can sell it. You should look up the owner and let them know the water pipe broke. Sometimes realtors will look up the owner info and relay the message to them. Thanks for the video!

Hey Noah. I would have called a pizza place or something 😬I know if I was there, I couldn’t have resisted calling somewhere. You should have worn a hazmat suit & boots too!I’ve seen this before because I’ll never forget that crazy red, yellow & black carpet. It definitely wasn’t flooded, but it was getting moldy. I wonder if the owner moved to the apartment because of easy access, no stairs. Also because everything was gone from the top 2 floors. Must have been a awesome place to have a raise a family. Beautiful pool. Thanks Noah

I’ve watched hundreds of abandoned house videos (love the idea of going myself but I’m way too scared of spiders). This is the grossest house I’ve ever seen, it’s just horrible, I could literally feel and smell the damp and the mould even just sitting here so thank you for braving it and going in. I’m so glad you didn’t go on your own; I was half-expecting the floors to just cave in underneath you. I think the owner has either passed away or they’re in a home and for whatever reason their family (it looks like they have family because that last room is clearly a child’s room so maybe for when the grandkids come to visit) don’t come to check on the house. Maybe they live a long way away and believe someone else is checking in on it. I think you’re right that vandals have caused the water to leak and I bet the family don’t even know it’s this bad. They’re probably thinking they’ve got a nest egg there rather than what will be a very expensive demolition/clean-up

When I first saw the entry it looked like 2 staircases until you pointed out the mirrors. Beautiful home. Sad to see it deteriorate. Someone is paying for the utilities. You think they would fix the house, sell it or do something with it. If you knew where the main water line to the house was you could turn the water off to the entire house.

Hi Noah There is no hope for this house, too much mold and water damage. As for the running water I know you guy’s aren’t plumbers but I bet if you had your dad along on this explore he would know where the water shut off valve is. You 3 guy’s also could call the water authority and they could come and turn off water. I hope you did. A few months ago when Freaktography was there I don’t remember any water running. This place is so gross I don’t know how you went in there even with the mask you have.🤮. It must have been a nice house before the floods and mold. Noah why is it that you only have a video like twice a month. I like your videos in spite of this one. Anyway keep yourself safe and well in your explorations. Hope you post more frequently.

The wooden truck seen in the video at 28:19 was hand made by the late John Van Egmond of Lethbridge Alberta, my stepmother's father. He made it about 34 years ago for, and with the help of, his grandson Darren, my stepbrother. As a child it was probably the posession of his that I most coveted, I wish I knew how it ended up in this house wherever it may be.

I totally dig the seventies vibe, think I would still like the house in this style if in good condition, apart from a few no-nos like the wallpaper in the bathroom. Absolutely unbelievable that one year can cause this much destruction, even though we don't know how good the house was then. If the people were elderly and the house is right in the middle of nowhere they probably installed the deadlocks because they were afraid of burglars at night. When you found the calendar I thought that maybe in the downstairs apartment someone was living who took care of the elderly guys, however it does not look like the whole piece had been lived in lately, so much eighties stuff all over the place like the cassette tapes in the bedroom. That stuff could rather date from the kids of the elderly guys. Was it common in Canada to have those masts outside for some specific use or can we assume that someone living there was a radio amateur?

I used to buy foreclosures in the 90s. The copper baseboard is missing and the random holes in the walls are from taking the copper wiring. Probably why some lights work and others don't. Be careful you don't start a fire.

I work at a disaster company. Looks to me that they had a flood. Didn't have homeowners insurance. Couldn't afford the basic costs for repair. And had to leave the property due to health hazard. The conditions are right for mold to spread like wild fire in a short time. Drywall might also contain asbestos. I believe scrappers would have done far more damage than what is seen.

What a lot of people don't know is that if the power is still on in a residence after it has been abandoned, that is a telltale sign it's a safe house for any given alphabet agency. It could be used for anything. Stashing cash, weapons, people, even used to relocate individuals or entire families into witsec. They neglect the property for years to make it appear inconspicuous but have means to quickly get a property up to living standards should they ever need to use it. They keep the utilities on because it slows decay. They have 1000s upon 1000s of properties. Most of them they never use. They do it this way so in the event the information falls in the wrong hands it's nearly impossible to pinpoint which property the people or persons being searched for reside. It's like trying to find a needle in a stack of needles.

Why would anyone just let a place this beautiful decay overtime, if it was me, and this was my parents home, or a close family member, I would have put a security system in this house, or I would keep an eye on it time to time, I would have done something to keep this place safe.

My husband says it looked like a painter lived in that basement apartment. Likely they were pouring paint down the drains and that’s what caused the pipes to burst. It’s just his guess. Either way, such a beautiful home to go to waste like this. So heartbreaking

I hope you contacted local authorities to report the water and electric situation so they’ll do shutoffs and then board it all up for demo. That place is dangerous
