My mum used this line from st Agnes to get to Truro I was 4-6yrs and even at a young I had the time of my life ,like many others who can remember this jewel of a bygone . Thank you for the memories 👍

Having moved to Newquay 3 years ago, absolutely nothing of these stations, the track, the countryside exists today that is recognisable from this film. Thanks Dr Beeching.

Thank you! I live in Camborne and my father and step-mother lived in St Agnes. I don't remember this line in operation, but recognise some sights in this film. However, the junction with the main line at Chacewater - the first short shot in the film - is now completely unrecognisable because the A30 dual carriageway has obliterated the embankments immediately after the junction.

Nostalgia is something that conjures up different emotions for different people. All these years later, I find it can create an overwhelming sense of anger.

Well that brought back memories... Back around 1958/59 I used to stand on the bridge by Goonhavern Halt with my grandfather to watch the steam trains go by. Thank you Phil

I have fond memories of this line. It closed in 1963 but i spent my 1st holiday in perranporth when i was 10 years old. So myself and younger brother played in Perranporth station. During that holiday the trains came to take up the tracks
