Hello All ! Again an Retro stuff :) this time mine main Dell D610 retro laptop, with great display. This machine is for games till DX9 that work great on it. Enjoy the video and thanks for watching !
I wonder if the cooler had been replaced in that unit at some point because I notice the date code on the "JM5B Chip Cooler" over the GPU is March 30, 2007 which seems like the D610 would have been discontinued by that point.
Ssd with converter speeds up quite a bit, Formated it here to Fat32 for Xp (ntfs it did'nt recognise the operating system here), some startup problems sometimes, believe these have that anyway. Though not this one originaly i believe, didn't try first all that much, with original hdd. Happy with it though, telling everybody. Leave idle sometimes for replacement of the trim function, long story. Hope stayes good for a while.
Great video! Can you help me with my retro laptop upgrade? I want to put the best cpu in my Compaq Evo N620c (it currently has a Pentium M 1.4 Banias). Am I correct in thinking the Pentium M 780 Dothan is my limit? Same 479 socket. Also what ram will work? Any that says DDR2 533 frequency?
