It's so fun watching these old episodes. I used to love this show.

I can't thank enough for finding this show. Loved it when it came out in the late 1980s. Can recall prior, before nightmare on elm street was made. Meeting Heather Langenkamp, here in Massachusetts. She's had quite a career for herself. Well as the whole cast of this show. Would love to see this. 30 years on. As a reboot with the returning cast. With their own kids. You've done well, Jeremy! Thanks.

I absolutely love this channel and this show. Thank you for the ability to watch one of my favorite shows from my childhood. I was to young to understand the real meaning of the show in the 80s. Watching them now is amazing and just makes me love this show and the cast even more.

It wasn't in his basement, but his office at school. As a matter of fact, watch the scene with him in the office with Dwayne. You can see it there.

I wish we could listen to the full track of the song "Lock up your daughters" sung by Don Barnes. I Can't find it anywhere on youtube. I guess it was a song recorded just for this episode and is locked away in the WB volt possibly. I wonder if the full tracks of the Lubbock babes recordings are there too.

New peep here! I love this, JTTOU was one of my FAVORITE shows! I remember being 12, just WAITING for Friday .. not just for the weekend but for TGIF on ABC lol. 🎉 Thank you so much for doing these .. I was so sad when I heard they’d never release due to copyright issues. Now if they’d just bring THIS show back lol

Always wondered what happened that in Season 2 they changed a few of the characters personalities. At the time I didn't notice really. Whether it was the writers or the actors that dropped in a few ideas. Most notably was Marie becoming extra religious. Wendy becoming the "smarter" one seemed to work the best. Because even in the early episodes she was coming up with the Schemes. Also Gram, Elizabeth, Sherry, JR and Connie basically remained the same throughout the show's run. I met Heather Langenkamp at a Horror Convention years ago and I mostly talked about this show and she was very happy to discuss it! Anyway great to see more fans of this show exist! Cheers!

I guess as they worked on the show, they just felt some stuff was needed to do a different way.

Marie didn't really change that much, she's wearing a cross even in the first two or three episodes (I think no one else does). She's a little aggressive, just in different ways, all throughout the series. Sometimes because of religion, sometimes family, sometimes lust. And, in my opinion, she only pretends to not like horror movies later on because she's a people pleaser. Doesn't that camouflage jacket show up again in seasons 2 and 3? Wendy was never that ditzy to begin with, she schemes to buy lipstick at the all boys school even in the pilot. She was just shallow to begin with, remained shallow throughout, and still had a tendency to stick her foot in her mouth when caught. Cindy changed the most, but not that much. She was always conceited, but just got less mean. Everyone says she got dumber, well maybe a little, but was she really written as smart in the first place?

I’m sure you’re probably aware of this but just in case, Bill Kirchenbauer has a RU-vid channel where he put the screen test for YO Coach. He even managed to drop an F bomb in the scene. His YT channel is his first and last name.
@sha11235
@sha11235 Год назад
The F-bomb was in the script, actually, since it was only a screen test. So there was no problem saying it there. The screen test isn't bad, but it is nothing that the sitcom would be.

It's a funny thing: I never confused JTTOU with Eight is Enough. I never watched Eight is Enough and was only a kid when it aired, so maybe that's the reason. Another proposed title was Lotsa Lubbocks. That's a good title too.

Love the montage and the song. I miss that we went away from the montages. Real Genius was 3 montages with 3 great songs. Monster Squad had 2 montages. Bring back montages with some kick a$$ songs.

Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me which episode did some choir boys show up at their doorstep. My brother was an extra in this show and he was one of the choir boys.

Is Connie playing with a phone cord (apologies to the younger set who are only familiar with cell phones!) at the 12:00 minute mark? I don't recall the girls ever on the phone in their bedroom during the entire series. Plus paying for a phone extension would not be in the Lubbock's budget. Any ideas?
@sha11235
@sha11235 2 года назад
Maybe it's just an extra one they have up there? Notice there is also a phone in the kitchen that they never used?
@rrmarshall3239
@rrmarshall3239 2 года назад
@@sha11235 You're right, I had forgotten about that one. Given the extra cost the Coach would never pay for 1 phone extension, much less two!!

@@rrmarshall3239 Well, that phone in the kitchen might be the same line as the one in the living room.

I see itwas a member of 38 Special that sang the montage song. Was it written just for this episode or was it already out there?

Hunts Hall is an in-joke, I think, to the actor.

Rewatching this episode, it’s crazy that if Graham believed the money truly was from God, it’s totally absurd for him to give the money back to God. It’s almost as if he doesn’t really believe. The episode starts with him needing money. This episode is good but it’s just crazy of Graham to say I don’t need the money when he needs it.

I think he's a person who doesn't like handouts. Remember in Who Cut the Cheese? he didn't want that government surplus food?

I'm with you Ta. Its crazy to me he gave up the money when he was 800 dollars in debt over the moving company. At least pay that off. He seems to really need the money and Coach just gave it up

So cool that there's more of the "Lock Up Your Daughters" song here than in the syndicated episode, which cut the song down to just part of the first verse and the chorus.
