I was _super_ young when this show aired on TGIF and was, obviously, still pretty young when it moved into syndication. However, I absolutely *LOVED* it! Still, due to my age, I only really remembered a few bits and pieces from it, along with some general, overall ideas and themes. However, just like you, I have remembered and held onto Skylar’s “little butts” comment about chickpeas throughout my *entire* life. LOL. I’ve always known that it came from a TV show, but I wouldn’t have been able to tell you _which_ TV show that was for the life of me! So when it popped up here during my first rewatch in 30+ years (Which took place roughly 2 weeks ago. Hence why I’m here now!) it absolutely blew my mind! Also, I too enjoyed the little milk bit! Elizabeth asks for _one_ of the girls to grab _a_ milk. Instead, 3 of them get up, head into the kitchen to gossip, and then each one of them comes back to the table with their own carton. LOL. It’s such a silly little moment but it really tickled my funny bone for some reason! LOL. Aaaaand, as for the 16 - 23 thing… depending on California’s consent laws, I believe that there may be a chance that it isn’t actually _illegal._ Having said that though, even if it happens to be legal, it’s still absolutely REPULSIVE. That age difference is *SO* messed up that it absolutely SHOULD be illegal! (That is, if it _is_ legal.) However, just like you, my dumb, little kid self didn’t think anything if it!! 🤦🏼

“I know I read his tattoo” and “maybe it’s from this charming piece of graffiti, ‘I cut her with a knife and she wasn’t even my wife’” are two of the best line deliveries from JoAnn. Jeremy you looked like you were rocking it when listening to the theme song!

The first time I ever saw Mathew Perry be funny.

Bill (Gram) makes a reference to Matt’s character being in a car accident. Wasn’t Matt Perry in a growing pain episode where he gets into a car accident and dies? If so does anyone know it it was before or after this episode aired? Could it be a growing plain reference?

It was very subtle, but I'm surprised Jeremy or no one else caught this: The chorus of the hit song "Get Down Tonight" is alluded to when the family initially sits down for dinner.

There hasn't been videos on here in awhile im curious anyone know if Jeremy is doing okay? The last video the comments were turned off for some reason

Weird thing about that directing credit episode: I asked Bill himself about it and he didn't know anything about it. However, I got from Steve Marshall through FB that she had been an assistant director on Growing Pains. So it wasn't a pseudonym for Frank and I guess the wikipedia is wrong. Guess that happens every once in awhile. Gotta take it with a grain of salt.

I remember Matt LaBlanc from Just ten of us not Mathew Perry. Mathew Perry I remember from Growing Pains and 90210.

Those were cartons of milk.

Because of this episode, I thought ahead to the other boyfriends of the girls and wondered how they would do on the test. Well, Russell would pass in a heartbeat, Blitz no way, Kevin gets a little bit of a test while he is waiting for Connie to come down, Cort and the other boy Cindy dates whose arm she breaks, he would think was alright until he found out there true colors. Maybe as the kids got older, he couldn't keep doing that, but could see that the dates were okay.
