i just realised im 52 and when this came out i was 11 .. my dads generation made this for there sons a sense of hope and they are all 80years old ... i have a 9 year old son coz i had kids lateish who couldnt care less about star wars such a shame when i loved it so much so to all the origional creators we all still love you .. i watched every making of star wars 400 times
I love the first shot of the Rebel Fleet. It tells you everything you need to know about the size and scope of the Alliance at this point (Smaller than the Empire but still a massive force to be reckoned with).
Is that the Devistator in all three opening of the films? Chasing the Tantive IV in A New Hope, Launching imperial droids in The Empire Strikes Back, and here shuttling to the Death Star2?
The Devastator is only in the first episode, in the ESB and ROTJ a new, bigger model is used. You can tell the difference by the different tractor beam antennas on the bridge
One of my favorite bloopers is at 02:29. It was corrected in the "special edition" but I guess these shots are from the original version of Jedi which is why this FX blooper is visible in this video. It is a small FX blooper. Look carefully at the first TIE fighters that entered the screen and fly in the distance and toward the bottom left of the frame. By about 02:28 or 02:29 they are little white dots against the black background of the Death Star. Look closely at these four "dots" -- they disappear into thin air just before the FX shot ends!
Another blooper at 6:34 Two background TIE Fighters (ghosted) are supposed to fly past the Falcon behind it but you can see them imposed on the bottom of the Falcon as two white TIEs. At the time that shot had the world record of the most ships in a single take. Not CGI.
I just ADORE the way miniatures look against the starry space. They got something that even the best CGI doesn't. The original trilogy will always look good, like old paintings.
@@stevenbayron5645 What? That crappy fan fic film? You do realize there’s only six main Star Wars movies. Sure there’s been a few spin offs like Rogue One, Solo, and that Mandalorian show, but that’s it chief
@2:20, watch the first set of Tie Fighters (four) as they head towards the Death Star. The fighters go into the Death Star (2:30). In full movie, the scene changes and you see the Imperial Shuttle with all the Storm Troopers and Vader awaiting the Emperor to come down the ramp.
@@stephenfisher5129 Only some of it is. The Millennium Falcon escaping the Death Star explosion shows the Rebel Fleet in motion moving away. That was a Special Edition change. I also believe the TIE fighters do not drop from the docking bay in the original release but are already in space flying towards Vader's shuttle in the opening scene.
