This was my favorite trailer voice-over guy of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. I can imitate his voice very well, but no one beats Percy Rodriguez, when it comes that voice. He practically narrated my childhood in the 80's.
I remember when I was about 5 years old, my parents had this on VHS. I watched it one day and I remember actually being scared at certain parts. For years I went on without knowing what the title of the movie was until I was around the age of 14 or 15. I came across someone who had uploaded the full movie on youtube, this had to be some time in 2012. I was so excited to watch this for the first time since I was a wee lad, I’m now 20 and recently watched the 1st movie and this one. This one will always be my favorite. It holds a special place in my heart. Fun fact: Mitch Pileggi from X-Files plays the part of the sarge in this one.
Hey man, we do not question old school zombie horror. We thank them for giving us more of the tasty goodness. Day, Dawn, and Night are the classic trinity of all zombie lore. The TRIFORCE of the undead, if you will. Then you had the best zombie parody Return of the Living Dead, that gave comedy without having characters joking or breaking character through a horrific events.
So I came here because the wikipedia article claimed that despite being aimed at teens the trailer portrayed the film as darker than the first... And then we have a clear shot of the zombies driving the jeep... Lol, gotta love whoever cut this trailer.
Anyone else remember seeing Micheal Jackson's Thriller zombie at the end? Haha I always laugh so hard when I see that! This was always my favorite: "You're already dead!" "I'm already dead?!" -cries- gosh, amazing movie.
lol, I remember I use to love this movie when I was like 10........That Zombie at the end who looked like Jacko from the thriller video was priceless!!
When this came out, even the advertising scared the snot out of me. (I was only 12 at the time.) "Seven of the living... against an army of the living dead!" I was such a wimp then, lol. Interesting that they don't play up the comic aspects of the film in the trailer until the very end. With how cartoony the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series had already become, you'd think they'd have wanted to emphasize the humor.
This was actually the first zombie movie I saw. when I was a younger, I saw it on TV. Now that I have seen the trailer and other zombie movies, It is funny how scared I was over this movie. haha
You really misunderstood/misremembered the end of the original. At the end of the movie it starts to rain trioxin, indicating a zombie holocaust is about to be unleashed. _That_ is what the sequel ignores.
Funny how the star of the first movie Freddie is part 2. Just completing ignored the ending of the first one where everyone appears to get killed by the government.
This is how shitty my high school was. Our teacher for geometry must of quit. A class without a teacher I showed this movie taped from TV in class. The whole thing & fast forward commercials
+Bryan Kinser In a RE class i once replaced the religious documentary we were supposed to watch with Hellraiser. We got 5 minutes in before she realised.
Lorimar? Didn't they make "Full House" as well? I want a cross over where the "Full House" characters race to board up windows and stay alive while fighting the army of the undead. Kimmy Kibler could also become a zombie. When Kimmy is in Zombie form, everyone finds it REAL easy to whail on her ass. Finally, the movie comes to a head where Danny and his daughters must confront the reanimated corpse of the wife/mother they lost so long ago. Will the family survive?!? That would be awesome!
The girl who plays the older sister; I've seen her in a couple commercials in the last couple of years. Most recently in a stock brokerage commercial. She plays a woman who's sitting at a table with a guy in a suit and she's doing all the talking making it seem like she's the stock broker, but she's the client. It's just that she's so well informed by the brokerage firm that she can do all the selling. Anybody seen this commercial? She was also in a diet commercial a couple of years ago.
I never knew this movie was part of a squeal. I only know is that this movie was my first zombie movie that I watched, but I saw it on Spanish though. I'm glad I know the name of the movie. I was starting to think I will never know the name of it. The only thing that helped me remember something about the movie is the part of the zombie Micheal Jackson. Oh the memories. :)
ROTLD zombies aren't like Romero zombies ("You mean the movie lied???"). They retain their intelligence and can move pretty fast. They might not seem intelligent, though, as they are obsessed with eating brains to kill the pain of being undead.
I was under the impression that this film would start where the last left it. With a nuke spreading the "virus" even further. Not the army accidentally losing more barrels, as if they hadn't learned their lesson after nuking a civilian area in their own country.
There are a lot of people that buy the best coffins and whatever else makes a funeral home rich. If you are religious/ spiritual or atheist, you can agree... You're dead. You really don't care what happens to your body. If families wanted to do something sincerely nice for the departed, they could spend the extra money on something nice for the living, like plant a tree in memory of the dead or use the money to put someone through college. People are still very superstitious about death.
De todas las películas de muertos son las mejores en especial la uno y la dos deben hacer un remake con los efectos de hoy de las películas son lo máximo cómo rompen el tanque sale el gas y se jodió todo.... lindos recuerdos de colegio
hehe well in the first movie. the zombies did run after Chuck and Casey to the medical supply warehouse. Tarman used the pulley to get Tina out of that closet. one Zombie said "Come in dispatch, send.. more.. paramedics" the other "Send more cops" And my favorite. that undead cop lead the other cops to an ambush. but i do agree about them able to die from electric shock that was pretty stupid...
If people stop looking at this movie as a sequel they could find that this movie is actually pretty decent. Although as a sequel it sucks the first was 1,000,000,000 times better. I only saw this movie because everybody says it's bad and it's a sequel to a great movie it would make you wonder how the series collapsed so quickly. Also because of Suzanne Snyder.
@WHOSTHEONE1 - The budget was $6,000,000, and this is what Tom Fox wanted from the original film, not really what Dan O'Bannon delivered, but hey I love them both.
I feel the same way. I wanted to be cremated, but my pastor and my boyfriend (the pastor's son LOL) frown upon that. I wouldn't care if I'm buried in a wooden coffin but I know my family would never agree to it. I'd much rather have the insurance money go towards my daughter and any grandchildren I may have. I do think having my ashes turned into diamonds to give to my loved ones is very cool, but that goes back to cremation and spending that kind of money is frivolous unless you're rich.
I actually saw this in a theater when i was like 8. My parents took me and my 4-year-old sister (no joke but that's 80's parenting for you) and it scared the shit out of us. My sister told me she had bad dreams for weeks. I love the original but like this one too. I don't know why everybody's always picking on this one. It's not bad at all. Kid zombies kick ass.
