Hey man I have a fulley built K24A8K20 in an Rsx with an electric steering rack from an Ep3 and lots of other stuff. Been working on Honda’s forever always loved them. Show is cool there’s totally a culture around Honda that people don’t understand.
Too bad your not in washington i have a full blown exhaust screaming Frankenstein b20vtec turbo we could do some pulls in , im a new sub but i dig your content thanks for sharing .
+Hoonda Gang oh hell yeah man! Would love to see it and talk about. I want to b20v my Del Sol. I started a podcast, I'm behind on episodes maybe you can come on and talk about the build?
Id love to do a swap one day, ive had 4 del sols.1 red 93 s trim auto, a black 93 si auto, a 94 samba green si manual, and my current 93 si manual. Im getting an idea of what i want .
PUT A K24A2 BLOCK UNDER THAT TYPE R HEAD AND IT WONT BE SUCH A LIGHTSWITCH POWER WISE LIKE YOUR COMPLAINING ABOUT...IT WILL GIVE YOU THAT TORQUE FOR CITY DRIVING WITHOUT HAVING TO RAP IT OUT TO GET GOING. YOU THINK SOMEONE WHO BUILT THAT LEVEL OF A SOL WOULD KNOW THAT.......
a 500hp fd3s RH. ,. is not fully built.sorry to say but that is really not built much at all. a simple large single turbo with upgraded fuel pump, injectors, fuel rail, ECU, and intake elbow, and intercooler is pretty much all u need for a 500whp rx7 FD3S. if the engine had billet rotors or was ported j port or anything larger than stock would for sure be more than 500 whp. my fd3s only had upgraded turbo and fuel system with only 15psi of boost.......And was pushing 421hp to the rearwheels.
honestly, I have big beef with this guy. he says it's a VTEC trim Del Sol, ok? that means better suspension bits, ABS, and obviously the sought after B engine. so, he basically bought the higher trim car and swapped all the parts out that made it higher trim in the first place. he even said in the last video "the only original pieces are the interior and the body panels." the only possible benefit is a VIN that matches a VTEC trim, which adds SLIGHT resale value. overall, through, what the fuck. like, he could've done this with the 2 Del Sol S's he said he had. leave another stock VTEC trim out there, or even own an unmodified version himself. obviously, it's his car, and he can do what he wants with it. it's evidently very high quality work, and it's extremely impressive. however, as a fellow del Sol owner (Si, wish it was a VTEC!), I can't help but to be disappointed that he chose to mutilate another of the few remaining B series sols. I'll step off my soapbox now.
Hahah, dude I feel you 100% i know exactly where you are coming from. This VTEC is #542 from the factory. I sometimes used to regret it. But here's the thing. The 97 VTEC chassis is still the one to buy if you want to do cornering. It has the reinforced rear subframe giving it tighter handling and overall weight distribution. Its also the heaviest del sol produced, but if you arent building to go in straight lines, its still the overall best one to have. Last iteration Targa Seals, painted rear lip, black interior... all the nerdy shit bro.
SleeperHonda I didn't know about tune reinforced chassis! I wasn't a part of the sol Cal forums in their heyday, so I'm still learning about these cars. so far, in my opinion, the 95 is the car to have. first year with the upgraded targa seals (mine has NEVER leaked), while still having the aux lights which I think define the look of the car. I think the USDM 96/97 Del sold with no aux lights are significantly uglier. there's just something missing. painted rear lip is cool as well. always surprises me how much variation there is with these little cars. if you have any tips to make this thing handle better, it's much appreciated. mines slammed 3 inches on tein control masters (dampening suggestions?) with a tanebe catback and 15x8 rims and 195 width tires.
I'm laughing so hard at y'all mf crying about a k swapped del slow. they are the heaviest Honda during that generation. trust me people who own lots of Honda hate the del slows. if they were highly wanted then they would still be made today like the accord and the civic. nobody wants a pos del Sol unless it's heavily modded. what's a stock Honda worth? not a damn thing.
