THE BUKIDNON ROAD TRIP IS OVER... WE MADE IT BACK TO CAGAYAN DE ORO JUST IN TIME FOR FIESTA!
In this video, we start at the unique farmhouse in Manolo Fortich that our friend invited us to stay at. From there, we drive through pineapple fields and spot one of the funniest signs I have ever seen! Seriously, don't take a poo in the pineapple fields! Our first day up in Manolo Fortich was basically hanging out at this amazing new smoked meats sports cafe... Rey's Warehouse! It has some awesome dishes, and even a very affordable massive smoked slab of ribs! I highly suggest checking this place out in Barangay Damilag.
Heading back home, I stop for some Pizzarap pasalubongs... another great place to eat in Damilag. And we make it to Cagayan de Oro just in time for the Fiesta Street Dance Parade...
From a Bukidnon farmhouse, to the Fiesta of Cagayan de Oro... this is just another raw look at Canadians living and traveling across Northern Mindanao.

Kulas, there was so much to enjoy in this vlog. Truly fantastic! Those ribs at Rey's Warehouse were so tender. I couldn't believe how easily the meat came off the bones, and they looked so sarap. And, the views of Manolo Fortich are so striking with all those beautiful drone shots! All the pineapple fields remind me so much of the fields back in Hawaii, even though there aren't as many there nowadays. The sign about not doing #2 in the fields was hysterical, too! That's got to be the funniest sign you've come across in the Philippines!!! 🤣🤣🤣 So glad to see Therine again in your vlog! It's always so nice to see you two together. As fun as it is to see you hanging out with Bret, you were overdue for some kilig moments! Hope you folks have a great time together again. Enjoy!💞

I am from the states and I have a small house in Parang Polloc Maguindanao with my Filipina. I watch your videos and see all sorts of neat places to visit but my Filipino family tells me that it’s not safe for me to visit Cotabato City and other places alone. I travel to a lot of countries like Thailand and Vietnam by myself, and I always enjoy myself and feel safe. I really want to visit more of Mindanao, but my Filipino is again concerned about my safety traveling alone.

It’s super safe. It just like any other places in the Philippines. Ofcourse you still have to be aware in your surroundings and that goes witg any other places.. but if you treat everyone with respect and smile I’m sure you will be surprised by how Mindanaoans treat their visitors.. we often put others first than ourselves. That’s just how be were brought up. I hope you can visit one day.

Nice love the food house You and Bret came in the food looks delicious and look refreshing especially the pineapple and corn field you show so it's a total package because there is festival celebration also. I miss Cagayan reminds my past internship in Regional Hospital.

We all grew up in Camp Phillips, the original Anak sa Pinya. My elder sister still lives in Damilag 😊 so many memories. Back in the day employees would load pineapples on top of Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.

Those Pineapple fields remind me of our fields in Hawaii in the late 70’s.. DOLE CANARY even those large machines.. I miss that!! We enjoy your vlogs and so glad Brett is back

These were planted at roughly around the same time (1900) and by the same companies, when the US acquired Hawaii and then shortly after, the Philippines. The one in Bukidnon is Del Monte (which is now Filipino-owned), but there are also DOLE plantations further south, near General Santos City.

Del Monte in Bukidnon missing the place so much. Home one day in Cagayan de Oro City after staying in Manila hopefully will spend Christmas this year since I left Philippines 35 years ago. @@junbullsbulls1848 you will still die in -2 try it. in Canada they wear protective clothes because if they don't they will die.climb pulag without thermal clothes in -2 and you will die.
